Exclusive: Actress Cara Santana (Daughter of the Bride) will make her directorial debut with The Shuffle, a documentary on the corruption of the addiction treatment industry, which she’s producing alongside Andrew Renzi’s North of Now.
Developed over the last two years, The Shuffle follows what she says is a $43B-a-year con that’s proliferated in the U.S. through the brokering and trafficking of vulnerable people in recovery by profiting off of their insurance. If there are no more strikes, we should see that happen. According to the folks over at Deadline.com, CBS did decide to give NCIS a pretty early renewal because they renewed it back in early April 2024. During the renewal announcement, the president of CBS Entertainment...

Now, we have the official list of when each CBS show will air their finale. Some of these finales will be series finales, as the shows are ending. Others are just season finales.
Keep reading to find out when each season finale will air…
CBS Season Finale Air Dates
Monday, May 6
8pm: The Neighborhood season 6 finale (The Neighborhood has been renewed for a fourth season!)
8:30pm: Bob Hearts Abishola series finale
9pm: NCIS season 21 finale (NCIS has been renewed for a 22nd season!)

Led by ‘Tracker,’ CBS Declares Early Viewership Victory for the Truncated 2023-2024 Broadcast Season
Though the 2023-2024 TV season isn’t over yet, CBS is on track to maintain its title as the most-watched network for the 16th season in a row. Provided it stays on top over the next month, the broadcaster would break its own record for the longest-ever winning streak, which was set between 1955 and 1970.
According to Live + 7 data measured by Nielsen through April 21, CBS is averaging 5.59 million viewers, putting it 580,000 ahead of its closest competitor, which is NBC with an average 5.01 million viewers. ABC and Fox trail behind at 4.29 million and 3.35 million viewers, respectively.
The winning lineup is led by “Tracker,” the Justin Hartley-led drama series that is not only the most-watched new series of the season but the most-watched series overall. The CW has switched three of its affiliation agreements to Nexstar-owned stations, including in Chicago, the No. 3 U.S. TV market.
Affiliate deals in Chicago, Norfolk, Va (the No. 43 U.S. market) and Lafayette, LA (No. 125) will all shift as of September 1, the company announced.
Nexstar’s ownership of the largest portfolio of CW stations of any local TV player helped motivate the company’s move in 2022 to take a 75% stake in the broadcast network. Paramount Global and Warner Bros. Discovery, whose corporate ancestors were the original founders of The CW, each retain 12.5% interest.
Andrew Alford, president of Nexstar’s broadcasting division, noted that the addition of these Nexstar-owned stations as affiliates will bring the number of Nexstar-owned CW stations to 42, covering more than 36% of U.S. TV households.
Under Nexstar’s ownership, The CW has expanded into weekend programming and added live sports, airing Liv Golf and Acc football and basketball.

The end of the TV season is always heartbreaking.
Not only do our favorites wrap up for the season, but some shows end forever. And the 2024 season is one of the worst ever.
There are at least seven series ending that we don't want to say goodbye to, but the finales are coming up fast.
The 2024 season was more heartbreaking than most. The season was truncated because of the WGA writers' and Sga-aftra actors' strikes.
Many beloved shows had short seasons of 10-13 episodes, and some with even fewer new shows. There have been long hiatuses that seemed to begin almost as soon as shows finally started airing. Worst of all, many series cancelations were announced just as shows began airing.
There was a bloodbath over at many networks, but CBS had the highest number of casualties, with five of the seven shows we're most heartbroken about leaving that network.

Another NCIS spinoff is coming to an end. CBS has canceled NCIS: Hawai’i after three seasons. The two-part series finale will air on April 29 and May 6. And given what series star Alex Tarrant (who plays Kai) previously told TV Insider, it sounds like fans are going to be left hanging. “There is definitely a special twist that comes in towards the end. It was a shock to me when I was reading the scripts, that’s for sure,” he said, adding that the finale “most definitely … ends on a cliffhanger.” NCIS: Hawai’i was the last current CBS show whose fate had yet to be decided. The network has renewed Tracker, The Neighborhood, NCIS, FBI (for three seasons), FBI: Most Wanted, FBI: International, Ghosts, Fire Country, NCIS: Sydney, S.W.A.T. (after it was previously supposed to be ending with the current seventh season), Elsbeth, and The Equalizer for the 2024-2025 season.
