Zac Efron may have risen to prominence after starring in the High School Musical trilogy, but he's since reinvented himself in a big way.
Shedding the "frat boy" persona movies like Neighbors and Dirty Grandpa later labelled him with, the actor has shown a darker, far more serious side in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile and The Iron Claw. Now, all eyes are on what Efron does next.
If a new rumour shared by @MyTimeToShineH is to be believed, then it could be a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
We don't have any news on who he'll play, though there are plenty of possibilities. Recently, there have been rumours about Marvel Studios finally moving forward with a Nova TV series, and while the focus is expected to be on Sam Alexander, Efron would arguably make a perfect Richard Rider.

Elon Musk is dynamic, and people most undoubtedly hold a polarised opinion of him. Recently, though, his antics on social media and his changes to policies on Twitter (now known as X) have gotten him attention for better or worse.
Musk has always thought one step ahead on the technological front, whether it is Hyperloop, SpaceX, or Neuralink. The last one was a concern for many, but despite the odds, the first individual to receive an implant, quadriplegic Noland Arbaugh, seems to be having a field day.

Romance tropes always play a crucial role in superhero films, as it enriches the plot and adds another layer of complexity to the characters’ personalities. While romance enables its viewers to relate to the film, the superhero genre always struggles to incorporate the ideas in their movies. Such was the case in the original Zack Snyder’s Justice League, until Avengers: Endgame directors approved of the unprecedented idea.
Henry Cavill as Superman in Zsjl
In the DC universe, the rivalry of Batman and Superman stands tall as one of the most iconic and enduring dynamics. The rivalry originates from the clash of ideologies and their take on justice. However, the Rebel Moon filmmaker decided to take their iconic rivalry to another level as he decided to put the Caped Crusader and The Daily Planet’s reporter in a relationship after Superman’s demise in the original plot of Justice League.

The Story: A goofball gym teacher (Mark Harmon) is forced to teach a remedial English class over the summer.
The Players: Starring: Mark Harmon, Kirstie Alley, Dean Cameron, Courtney Thorne-Smith & Shawnee Smith. Music by Danny Elfman. Directed by Carl Reiner.
The History: Hollywood spent a couple of years trying to make Mark Harmon happen as a movie star. Fresh off an arc on “St. Elsewhere” which infamously had his character contract AIDS from a one-night stand, his career was red hot. For a while, he was seriously considered to replace Don Johnson on “Miami Vice” after contract negotiations fell through, and in 1987-88, we got a bunch of starring vehicles that would try him out in a variety of genres to see if one would stick. He did action in The Presidio (even doing his own stunts – although the film was stolen by co-star Sean Connery), drama in Stealing Home,...

Zack Snyder served as the architect of the Dceu, starting his grand tale almost a decade before James Gunn and Peter Safran were eventually brought in to helm a reboot of the franchise. While Snyder never got to realize his full vision for the shared universe, he has shared several interesting tidbids and plot points from planned installments over the years.
AA still from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
While Snyder’s take on Batman was already controversial, the director had plans for an even more controversial and borderline creepy plot point for the character. In his vision for the Dceu, Snyder wanted to give Batman an uncanny romance with the significant other of one of his closest allies. Here is what Snyder had planned for Ben Affleck’s Batman and why the idea was too crazy.

Michael J. Fox was a heartthrob back in the ’80s and ’90s thanks to his many memorable roles in the Back To The Future series, Teen Wolf, The Hard Way, Life with Mikey, and more. The actor’s memorable performances and down-to-earth personality earned him a huge fan following.
Hence, many hearts across the world were broken when he revealed his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 1998. However, the actor had been secretly fighting the progressive degenerative disorder for seven years at that point. Despite his disease, the actor appeared in many hit projects throughout the 2000s and 2010s. He was a regular in the CBS drama series The Good Wife which aired from 2010 to 2016.
However, in 2020, the star announced his retirement from onscreen work. The decision came due to Parkinson’s impacting his ability to memorize and remember lines. Now, four years later, he is willing to return to acting under one sole condition.

Electronic Arts has been implementing loot boxes into its games for some time. For those unaware of what a loot box is, it’s an aspect that has been plaguing the gaming industry for years, which gives players the option to purchase it in-game with real or virtual money and provides them with random prizes in various forms, including character cosmetics, weapons, skills, and more.
Things got so escalated that several governments ended up branding it a type of gambling since it’s never a guarantee that gamers will get what they want from the boxes, resulting in them spending even more currency on them until they acquire the item that they’ve been looking forward to.

Old School RuneScape is a classic Mmorpg that was launched back in 2013. With some core mechanics from the original Runscape in the early 2000s, this point-and-click style of title has a very massive player base. Some fans of Old School RuneScape are very hardcore about the self-imposed rules of playing, which make the experience very interesting.
In a quest to get a baby mole, one very hardcore player has put in more than 2500 hours. This was only in a specific part of the map to get this very unusual pet, just like Quagmire from Family Guy and his strange giant right arm.

Jake Gyllenhaal is taking a long-awaited stab at action superstardom with his upcoming Prime Video remake of Road House hitting the streamer on March 21st (although it should really be going to theaters). Dev Patel also is making a promising attempt at the genre with his amazing looking Monkey Man hitting theaters in April. Not too long ago, we wrote a piece of JoBlo that asked who the next big action icons might be, and indeed, some fresh blood being worked into the genre is long overdue. Gyllenhaal and Patel both seem like great new additions to the canon, but who else could make it in the genre?
Here are a few stars we think have what it takes to be action heroes:
Zac Efron:
I would have thought you were nuts if you had told me a decade ago that Zac Efron would become an Arnold Schwarzenegger-style muscleman as he got older.

There are many actors whose public image will forever be defined by one iconic role. Al Pacino and Michael Corleone. Daniel Radcliffe and Harry Potter. Zac Efron and Troy Bolton.
To millions of millennials and zoomers, Zachary David Alexander Efron will forever be associated with his role as Troy in Disney’s “High School Musical” trilogy of TV films. A cultural phenomenon that remains a beloved nostalgic favorite today, the franchise made Efron a teen idol at 18, and “The Iron Claw” star’s performance as romantic lead Troy forever defined his public image moving forward: an impossibly earnest sweetheart jock, the type of high school heartthrob that could only exist in a Disney version of reality.
A straight to TV movie musical for tweens isn’t the most prestigious way to begin your career, but Efron, for his part, has mostly spoken fondly about the experience in the years since.

Mark Harmon is famous for his role as Leroy Jethro Gibbs in NCIS — but that’s far from the only role he played. In the ’70s and ’80s, Harmon started to act in TV shows and movies. On the topic of Iron Claw, the movie star spoke candidly about transforming his body to play a professional wrestler. He also explained how his process was different after the dramatic and “stupid” process of toning up for his movie Baywatch.
Zac even shared some advice that he wishes he could give his younger self. What would he tell the star who became a household name after High School Musical took off?

The world of teen rom-com is a gift that keeps giving and giving, even when we’re not really asking for it. I could say it feels like the genre has become oversaturated, but that would feel like an understatement because of the rate at which Ott platforms keep churning these out. But as I complain, I’m reminded of the comfort that some of these shows provide. While high school dramas can focus on many different subjects, most of the content revolves around teen romance. Specifically, there’s an entire list of shows that involve a very intelligent and organized girl (can’t relate) with multiple (perfectly handsome) love interests. Maybe this is a fantasy of the millennials writing these books (since TV isn’t ever original anymore), the ones who grew up watching shows that emulated the line “If he tugs at your ponytail, he likes you,” or...

If you followed indie film in the 90s, Vince Vaughn was at the center of a legendary tale. As the story goes, in order to get permission to use the theme from Jaws in the film Swingers, Doug Liman screened the film for Steven Spielberg’s approval. Not only did Stevie Boy allow them to use the scary shark tune but the legendary director knew he had to work with whoever was playing Trent Walker. And, he did just that when he cast Vince Vaughn in his Jurassic Park sequel, The Lost World. Spielberg instantly knew that Vince Vaughn was superstar material and he was correctomundo. Over the last nearly 30 years, he has given us some of the best comedic performances mixed in with some bone chilling anti-heroes. But it seems in the past few years Vaughn has slowed down his output to focus on smaller roles in more meaningful projects.

Twenty years on, School of Rock remains one of the most fun, beloved movies of the early part of the 2000s. But it got off to a tough start, as Richard Linklater recently revealed that he had to fire one of the original child actors on School of Rock for having a massive ego.
In a new oral history published in Rolling Stone, Linklater said that School of Rock got off to a rough start before cameras even rolled, as the original Marco (eventually played by James Hosey) was upset about his lack of lines. “I shouldn’t even be saying all this publicly.… It was in rehearsals. There was a kid who wasn’t with the program, so there were tough decisions to be made. I think he wanted a bigger part.”

Chrystia Cabral’s Spellling & the Mystery School is a collection of songs from throughout her career as Spellling, but with a twist, as each track has undergone a complete reimagination. The already eerie “Under the Sun,” from 2019’s Mazy Fly, has been masterfully reworked into an even eerier sci-fi ballad with an ominous string arrangement and an interlude punctuated by synth flashes, while “Phantom Farewell,” from 2017’s Pantheon of Me, beefs up some of the song’s original sonic distortions for a bigger, grander sound.
The new electronic elements may give the album’s songs a supernatural quality, but there’s heart and humanity in the lush orchestral arrangements, velvety drum patterns, and Cabral’s captivating, soulful voice. The minimalistic percussion and piano on tracks like “Hard to Please (Reprise)” provide Cabral the space to showcase her impressive vocal prowess, accompanied by background vocalists Toya Willock and Dharma Moon-Hunter.

Initially released in October 2003, Richard Linklater directs School of Rock from a script by Mike White. Jack Black stars in this heartfelt, laugh-out-loud comedy with Joan Cusack, Sarah Silverman, Mike White, Miranda Cosgrove, Rivkah Reyes, and more!
