Brother Randy (2017)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
This twenty-minute featurette has Randy Quaid talking about his work on the Walter Hill film THE LONG RIDERS. Knowing Quaids troubles over the past few years, I was shocked to see him interviewed here and it turns out to be a real treat. One hopes that other producers will reach out to him to get his thoughts on some of the other pictures he's been in. Quaid starts off talking about his love of Westerns and why he jumped on a chance to make one. From here he talks about various production stories but the most interesting one deals with his relationship with David Carradine. Apparently they didn't get along during BOUND FOR GLORY and that rolled into this picture. He also tells some nice stories about the stunts in the picture. All in all this was a highly entertaining featurette that was well worth watching.
