Match #1: Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship – The Usos def. The New Day The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With history on the line, The New Day were hoping to keep hold of their record run as tag team champions, and they brought everything they had to the titleholders. The Usos isolated Kofi Kingston from Xavier Woods, not allowing Kingston to tag him in. When Kingston eventually tagged in Woods, the former King of the Ring was a house on fire, almost capturing the titles after a flurry of offense. A huge top-rope leg drop from Woods nearly sealed the deal, but Jimmy kicked out at 2.9 repeating. The Usos had a heart-pounding moment of their own, as Woods kicked out of a massive Double Uso Splash.

Netflix have taken some major strides over the last few years in their efforts to be recognized as a serious player in the film and TV industry, with the streaming service racking up a huge number of awards nominations and some serious critical acclaim in the process. The billions being invested into their original content and promise of full creative freedom have also seen some of the most high-profile filmmakers in Hollywood make the jump in order to avoid the minefield of studio politics.
Two movies in particular from last year sum up Netflix’s new approach to taking over the industry, and they couldn’t be more different. On one hand, Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman saw one of the greatest directors in history spend $200 million to finally realize one of his passion projects with an all-star cast and cutting-edge de-aging technology, with the end result being ten Academy Award nominations and widespread praise.

Broadway will remain closed through June 7, a two-month extension of the current coronavirus shutdown that would seem to retroactively end the 2019-2020 Broadway season with the March 12 shutdown.
The extension announcement was made today by the Broadway League, the trade group representing theater owners and producers, which had been in discussions with theatrical unions this week.
No mention was made in the League’s announcement of officially closing the Broadway season – theoretically, at least, the 2019-2020 season could be extended but the logistics would seem to make that an unlikely option.

Exactly 100 years separate the 21st century’s global entertainment industry and the final year of the 1918-20 Spanish flu pandemic and its effects on the international show-business scene. There’s a world of difference between then and now, but at its core, modern entertainment shares a surprising number of similarities with the showbiz of that era.
On Variety’s first cover in 1905, among the banners adorning the pillars of showbiz were “vaudeville,” “burlesque,” “parks” and “fairs.” By 1918, “picture houses” had become big business, but such “amusements” required person-to-person contact, usually in close — and often fragrant — quarters. Commercial radio was just being born, television was still a fantasy and home entertainment options were mostly limited to sheet music and Diy musicianship or phonograph machines.
Movies were booming, but exhibition was, as it is today, susceptible to the ravages of an airborne virus. Vaudeville drew tens of millions of patrons per year.

Broadway producers are “cautiously optimistic” as attendance figures for last week show little, if any, immediate impact from the global coronavirus scare.
Charlotte St. Martin, president of the Broadway League trade organization representing producers and theater owners, said in a conference call with reporters this afternoon that she was “even a bit surprised” with today’s box office figures indicating an increase in total Broadway attendance last week over the previous week.
“I look very carefully at the year over year” figures, St. Martin said, “and history says last week and the week before are two of the traditionally worst weeks we have every year” partially due to winter weather and families gearing up for spring break. She indicated last week’s figures were encouraging, “but we know it could possibly not be [like] this every week.”

Welcome to the most wide open Tony Awards season in recent memory. Recent Broadway seasons have produced surefire winners like “Hamilton,” “The Band’s Visit,” or “Hadestown” that robbed awards season of some suspense. Carl Lumbly, has joined the cast of Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, the Disney+ superhero series now filming in Atlanta and slated to premiere on the subscription streaming service in August.
Lumbly recently had a recurring role as the father of J’onn J’onzz, aka the Martian Manhunter, on The CW series Supergirl. (It was a live-action role that called back to his earlier voice work portraying the Martian Manhunter himself on the well-regarded Justice League animated series)
Lumbly recent television credits also include This Is Us, God Friended Me, The Chi, NCIS: Los Angeles, Altered Carbon and Six but he is best known for portraying two field operatives named Marcus: Det. Marcus Petrie on the CBS series Cagney & Lacey and CIA Agent Marcus Dixon on the ABC series Alias.

Though last year’s Child’s Play reboot certainly has its defenders, the upcoming Chucky TV show has already earned a more decisive stamp of approval from longtime fans, not least because the series is being written and directed by franchise creator Don Mancini.
Indeed, while the 2019 Child’s Play drew backlash for hitting the reset button on the property without the blessing of Mancini, many fans are touting Chucky’s Syfy series as the true successor to the killer doll’s previous films. And to add legitimacy to this claim, it seems that Tiffany Valentine herself, Jennifer Tilly, is also on board.
Speaking to Page Six, the Bride of Chucky star shared her thoughts on the international fandom that Mancini’s franchise has developed over the years:

Just so we get things straight the original Sinister Six consisted of Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, Electro, Mysterio, Sandman, and Vulture. They appeared in Spider-Man Annual #1 as a somewhat cohesive group since Spider-Man has amassed enough enemies that some of them have decided to team up over the years, though somehow the webcrawler has still managed to get out of the tightest jams one way or another, and one of the reasons is that villains don’t always work together in a very effective way. Their egos tend to get in the way and the honor of killing Spider-Man

The first trailer for Morbius was finally unleashed yesterday, officially kicking off the movie’s marketing campaign in anticipation for a July release. However, the footage seems to have raised more question than answers among Spider-Man fans, with people confused as to how the web-slinging superhero ultimately fits into the Marvel universe that Sony are attempting to build.
Kevin Feige admitted that Tom Holland was likely to appear in the Sony films as part of the deal that allowed Spidey to remain part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the quick glance of a mural daubed with the word ‘murderer’ seemingly indicates that Morbius and the upcoming Venom 2 will take place in the same timeline as the McU’s Spider-Man adventures, with Peter Parker set to go on the run after being framed as Mysterio’s murderer and having his secret identity revealed by the Daily Bugle at the end of Far From Home.

I can’t tell you how excited I am by the first trailer that dropped on Monday for Morbius starring Jared Leto.
Hitting theaters on July 31, 2020 it is one of my most anticipated films coming up this summer.
One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease.
The film also stars Matt Smith, Jared Harris with Tyrese Gibson. The film is helmed by Daniel Espinosa who directed Life.
Check it out now.

The first time I watched 13 Going on 30, I would've been roughly 11 years old. Of course, it struck me in all the ways that a rom-com should - it was cute, endearing, and heartfelt. But now that I'm watching it as a 24-year-old, there's something sweetly nostalgic that makes it resonate much more than when I was a child. Jennifer Garner is perfect in the role as Jenna, a naive but incredibly lovable character who wakes up in the body of a 30-year-old but with the maturity of a 13-year-old. Mark Ruffalo - perfect, unproblematic, adorable Mark Ruffalo - plays Jenna's best friend/future love interest, Matt.. Honestly, the two leads are perfect and really bring the whimsical story to life. More than anything, however, 13 Going on 30 is a film that has many thoughtful lessons and moments that serve as a sweet reminder of what's really important in life and how...

At last May’s Upfronts, I suggested to CBS’ entertainment chief that Seal Team‘s Season 2 renewal must have been a close call, given, as I put it, the freshman drama’s “disappointing” ratings.
The premise of my question was refuted — Seal Team at the time did rank No. 3 in the demo among all CBS dramas, though it was ninth in the network’s famously and frequently touted measure of total viewership. But to this day, more than midway through Season 2, I maintain that this show should be doing better. And I remain puzzled as to why it isn’t.

The upcoming Showtime drama “Penny Dreadful: City of Angels” has cast both Jessica Garza and Johnathan Nieves in series regular roles, Variety has learned.
They join previously announced cast member Daniel Zovatto. Described as a spiritual descendant of the original “Penny Dreadful,” the new series opens in 1938 Los Angeles, a time and place deeply infused with social and political tension. When a grisly murder shocks the city, Detective Tiago Vega (Zovatto) is embroiled in a story that reflects the history of Los Angeles: from the building of the city’s first freeways and its deep traditions of Mexican-American folklore, to the dangerous espionage actions of the Third Reich and the rise of radio evangelism.
Garza will play Josefina Vega, the youngest of the Vega family. She plays the part of the quiet and overlooked sister, but possesses a powerful spirit waiting to be unleashed.
Nieves will play Mateo Vega, Tiago’s volatile younger brother.

Justified and Vice Principals alum Walton Goggins will headline and executive produce the upcoming eight-episode second season of Deep State, I have learned. The spy thriller, from Fox Networks Group Europe & Africa, airs in 50 markets across the region.
Goggins will take over for Mark Strong, who starred in the first season.
Co-created, directed and written by Matthew Parkhill (Rogue), Deep State is described as a grounded, visceral thriller, moving between the deeply personal story of a family man fighting to escape his past and the violent, dark excesses of government and global corporate power.
The first season centered around Max Easton (Strong), an ex-spy whose past comes back to haunt him when he’s summoned away from his new life in the Pyrenees by George White (Alistair Petrie), head of covert MI6/CIA team “The Section.” White convinces Max to return to the field to avenge the death of his estranged son Harry.

The real battle has begun and Chase and Buddha are going to be watching from the sidelines.
The team headed back to Russia on Six Season 2 Episode 9 thanks to some surprising intel from Nasry, but things turned ugly and Buddha and Chase took to the skies while the rest of the team were left behind.
The one guy you'd think would have turned his back on the Muslim was the one who didn't move from Fishbait's side when he got shot. All the hate spewing out of Trevor's mouth all season was nothing but show because when it came down to it, he put his teammate above everything else.
Bear wasn't going to leave anyone behind either and jumped out of the helicopter before it was too late. Caulder also got out.
So now we got four SEALs on the ground, one of them injured and Prince's ambush brigade headed their way.

In “The Predator,” Olivia Munn plays Casey Bracket, a scientist and the lone woman teamed up with a group of military men to stop the namesake, genetically-enhanced super species from destroying mankind. During the first Hall H panel of 2018’s San Diego Comic-Con, when she was complimented on her ease handling firearms onscreen, the actress and best-selling author explained how she and writer-director Shane Black chose to subvert one stereotype that commonly hinders women in action movies.

North Carolina has a lot to offer producers, including mild temperatures, sandy coastlines and a stretch of Appalachian Mountains. Those looking to shoot in an urban setting can head to Raleigh, the state capital, or bustling Charlotte. The city of Wilmington is a major production center and boasts seasoned film crews and the second-largest stage space east of California. And wherever filmmaking takes place, it can take advantage of a 25% rebate and a recently increased project cap.
Specifically, the rebate is set at 25% for all qualified expenditures. The minimum spend required per film is $3 million, and the minimum per TV episode is $1 million.
Projects caps are set at $7 million per film and $12 million per TV season. There’s also a $250,000 project cap for commercials.
The program’s annual cap is $31 million, with unused funds carrying over from fiscal year to fiscal year. In addition, the incentive’s Sunset date has been eliminated.

With four more episodes left to air, History has decided to cancel its gritty military drama Six.
Ratings have not been kind to the second season, but there were some big changes to the story of the ten-episode chapter in comparison to Six Season 1.
What hasn't changed is camaraderie between the characters on one of the few shows on television that currently features men supporting other men in a sea of programming that features women doing it all the time.
Six Season 2 began immediately after Rip was shot. The character was ultimately killed, leaving a hole in the cast left by Walton Goggins.
The Seal Team felt the pain of their former leader's loss and with Bear at the helm and the addition of CIA officer Gina Cline (Olivia Munn), began to scour Eastern Europe, infiltrating hostile territory and terrorist hotspots like Chechnya as they track the mastermind behind the...

Watching Rip being torn apart by bullets on the recap at the beginning of Six Season 2 Episode 1 was as shocking as it was at the end of Six Season 1 Episode 8. Rip may have had his faults, but he didn't deserve what happened to him.
And the fact that it was a young girl from Oregon doing the bidding of the evil Michael Nasry makes the whole situation even worse.
How could someone turn against her own country so easily and without regret?
What is so compelling about Six is that it immediately grabs hold of you and doesn't let go. You can't tear your eyes from the action on the screen. The feelings of anger at what happened are real.
I want vengeance on the bad guys as much as the rest of the team.
The other great thing about Six is its amazing cinematography. Everything is so realistic that...
