The first official trailer offers a glimpse of the unique tightrope the show attempts to walk and shows how suited Bell is to the macabre comedy.

An Argentinian title which sets you in the blood-flecked shoes of the ‘cleaner’ for a shady government organisation, Nobodies takes a more casual approach, reminiscent of hidden object games more than graphic adventures but comes out a strong and enjoyable title with an interesting premise that gives it more character than similar games.
Presented through mostly static screens with a point and click interface that also utilises keyboard shortcuts for certain things, such as highlighting areas of interest and the hint system, Nobodies starts you off pretty basically. You are on the roof where one of your ‘co-workers’ at the agency has killed someone and the body needs to disappear whilst the crime scene must remain clean. Whilst the first few missions are pretty straightforward, after a while they soon ramp up in complexity, giving way to some ingenious (and tenuous) ways of working. A nice touch to add to...

Bet is the latest brand to jump into streaming.
The Viacom-owned cable channel is prepping a standalone streaming service, Bet+, that would launch later this year, an individual with knowledge of the service confirmed to Variety. The service would be the home for Tracy Oliver’s planned “First Wives Club” series along with original content from Tyler Perry. No details on the pricing of the service are currently available, but it is said that it will include content from a number of Viacom’s cable brands and not just Bet.
Bet+ would be part of Viacom’s overarching digital strategy. The company recently purchased Los Angeles-based video streaming service Pluto TV for $340 million back in January. This would also be the latest attempt by a media conglomerate to shift its strategy toward streaming as the ratings for traditional linear channels continue to see serious erosion year-after-year. Disney will launch...

In February 2017, Viacom announced plans to rebrand its once testosterone-heavy Spike channel into Paramount Network, envisioned as the company’s leading scripted series brand. A limited series that had just been picked up at Spike, Waco, was selected to launch the rebranded network in January 2018. It was soon joined by the first original scripted series ordered for Paramount Network, drama Yellowstone starring Kevin Costner, as well as a slew of series originally developed/launched at sibling TV Land, American Woman, Heathers, Nobodies, Younger and First Wives Club.
Waco and Yellowstone both did very well, with the latter ranking as 2018’s most-watched new cable series and second across all of cable TV series. The transplants from TV Land did not fare as well: American Woman and Nobodies were canceled, Heathers was shelved, with an edited-down version eventually getting a one-time run on the network. Following that streak, First Wives Club recently...

Lily Collins has been cast in the title role of the upcoming Paramount Network series “Emily in Paris” from creator Darren Star, Variety has learned.
Collins will also produce the half-hour dramedy, which centers on Emily, a driven twenty-something from the Midwest who moves to Paris for an unexpected job opportunity. Tasked with bringing an American point of view to a venerable French marketing firm, cultures clash as she adjusts to the challenges of life in a foreign city, while juggling her career, new friendships and love life.
“To be not only starring in a TV show created by Darren but also producing it with him and the Paramount Network is a real ‘pinch me’ moment,” said Collins. “All of Darren’s shows have deeply defined, greatly impacted, and undeniably helped me navigate my journey into womanhood. I couldn’t imagine a more inspiring city to be our ‘Emily in Paris’ home than Paris.

Kingdom Hearts and Square Enix have released the gorgeous cinematic open for Kingdom Hearts III and it sets a clash almost 19 years in the making.
It used to be that one of the key components to an amazing game was an incredible opening cinematic. It helped the player get in the mindset that what they were about to play was something simply incredible. Nowadays, some games have steered away from a produced open, in favor of simply opening to the menu screen with dramatic music. One game that won't adopt this new method is Square Enix's upcoming finale, Kingdom Hearts III.
They've released the opening cinematic trailer that puts us right back into the feels we had in 2002, when Utada Hikaru sang "Simple and Clean" on the first game, while setting up an epic clash between the Keyblade Masters and the villainous Organization Xiii. For Kingdom Hearts III, Utada Hikaru...

Another Viacom series is switching networks — First Wives Club, which was slated to debut on Paramount Network in January, will instead air on sibling Bet.
At Paramount Network, First Wives Club starring Ryan Michelle Bathe, Jill Scott and Michelle Buteau was slated to launch the network’s new Thursday dramedy night in January. It was be followed by Younger Season 6 and new series Emily in Paris, both from Darren Star, slated to debut on the same night in spring and summer, respectively.
I hear the concept for a dramedy-branded night on Paramount Network is now being reevaluated, along with the future of Younger and Emily in Paris on the network. The former had been a hit on TV Land for five seasons and, while the comedy-focused Viacom channel recently canceled its last remaining original scripted series, Teachers, it left the door open to featuring such content in the future.

Tracy Oliver’s “The First Wives Club” series is going to air on Bet rather than Paramount Network as originally planned.

Paramount Network was Spike TV, until parent-company Viacom rebranded it earlier this year. It then experienced something of a rocky start. Even though season one was in the can, the network postponed, rescheduled, and then cancelled its Heathers TV series adaptation, without airing it, because school violence is all too real in this day and age. They also tried to move the second season of Nobodies over from TV Land, but the fans didn't follow, so that plan was abandoned. Enter the American Woman TV show. Is this 1970s period piece the program which will finally put the renamed cable network on the map? Will American Woman be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status update below.

TV Land’s flagship series, Darren Star’s Younger, will be moving to sibling Paramount Network for its upcoming sixth season. Additionally, Paramount Network has given a series order to Star’s dramedy Emily In Paris (working title), which had been in development at the Viacom cable network. The 10 episode, half-hour series will bookend a new Thursday dramedy night that launches in January with First Wives Club, from Tracy Oliver (Girls Trip), followed by Season 6 of Younger in the spring and Emily in Paris in the summer.
Younger was renewed for a sixth season by its original network, TV Land, in June. It is the latest — and highest profile — TV Land original series to make the transition to Paramount Network, relaunched earlier this year as Viacom’s leading scripted brand. “Younger” Season 6 will now air on Paramount Network instead of TV Land, Variety has learned. In addition, the Viacom-owned cable network has also greenlit a new series from “Younger” creator Darren Star.
“Younger” stars Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Peter Hermann, Molly Bernard and Charles Michael Davis. It follows Liza (Foster), a talented and aspiring editor in the highly competitive world of publishing. As Liza’s personal and professional lives have become intertwined, she has juggled the complications and faced the consequences of the lie she created about her age to land her dream job. In addition to creating the series, Star serves as executive producer and writer. Tony Hernandez of Jax Media executive produces for Paramount Network. Dottie Zicklin and Eric Zicklin also serve as executive producers and writers on the series.

Talk about a reversal of fortunes: While the movie box office world recovered this summer after a disappointing 2017, television — at least the programming that’s measured by Nielsen ratings — took a dip. Blame some of that on the lack of “Game of Thrones,” which dominated last summer among adults 18-49.
NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” still scored plenty of eyeballs, as once again the summer’s most-watched program. But Simon Cowell and company were still down to 14.56 million viewers, vs. 15.28 million last year.
IndieWire has compiled the summer 2018 rankings for broadcast and cable, using the most recent Live+7 ratings (which include seven days’ worth of DVR and video on-demand usage). Here’s a final look at some of the hits and misses of the summer, followed by our complete list of the most-watched shows of June/July/August, according to both adults 18-49 and total viewers.

Paramount Network (formerly Spike TV) hasn't had the smoothest start. It ultimately cancelled the Heathers TV series adaptation prior to airing, because of the school violence storyline. Fans ignored the second season of Nobodies when it moved over, so it went back to TV Land. Now, in addition to American Woman, they've introduced the Yellowstone TV show? Can this modern-day western lasso enough viewers for the re-branded cable network to make its mark on the Nielsen ratings? Will Yellowstone be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
