- A case involving a gun made from a 3D printer causes tension between Diane and Kurt McVeigh, Alicia must decide whether to make a political attack against her husband, and Canning has an odd request for Alicia after his transplant.
- When Frank Prady decides to go after Governor Florrick as a campaign tactic, Alicia is faced with the decision of whether or not to attack Peter's record as well. Also, when Florrick/Agos/Lockhart take on the case of a man paralyzed by a malfunctioning gun created on a 3D printer, they call on Kurt McVeigh to testify as an expert witness, which leads to a rift between Diane and her husband.
- It's now three days before the election and Alicia's interview with the editorial board has gone well - so well in fact that the newspaper has given her its endorsement. Frank Prady now starts to attack the governor which raises the issue of whether Alicia needs to do the same. Eli pulls out all the stops to make sure she doesn't. In court, Diane and Finn Polmar represent a man who was shot at a gun range when a 3D printed gun misfired. They are suing the gun's designer however, not the person who fired the weapon. A rift develops between Diane and her husband over who she should be suing. Louis Cannings meanwhile has a kidney transplant and asks for Alicia's help in distributing the proceeds of his estate.—garykmcd
