New York Times bestselling author Tony Lee has been brought onboard to work on the script for a futuristic reimagining of Robin Hood that is in the works at Hollywood Gang.
Jason Dean Hall ("American Sniper") and Michael Ross ("The Throwaways") worked on previous drafts of the script which is set in a dystopian London and follows a rogue MI5 agent on a mission to avenge injustice.
Gianni Nunnari ("300," "Immortals") will produce the project, currently going by the working title "Robin Hood 2058".
It's one of several Robin Hood films in development with rivals in the works at Sony, Warner, Disney and Lionsgate - the latter the furthest along with a project called "Robin Hood: Origins" starring "Kingsman" breakout actor Taron Egerton.

Gianni Nunnari's The Hollywood Gang, the production company behind the 300 movies and The Immortals, was one of the first companies to start development of a reimagining of the Robin Hood legend. They've been working on a "futuristic" take on the classic archer since 2009, and it's gone through multiple screenwriters, including Jason Dean Hall (American Sniper) and Michael Ross (The Throwaways), over the past few years. Now THR reports that the company is gearing back up to give it another go with the project.
They've just hired UK-based scribe Tony Lee to write the screenplay, which will be set in "dystopian London with a rogue MI5 agent on a mission to avenge injustice." Lee is primarily a comic book writer, but he has a few screenplays in the works at various places around town. The world of Doctor Who has changed greatly in the space of just 10 years. The cast and crew have almost completely been replaced since 2005, including a number of new actors to play the errant Time Lord and his companions.
But what has happened to the class of '05? Where are Rose and Mickey now? What is the writer of 'Dalek' up to? And where can you see more work from the director of 'Rose'?
Here it is then, your guide to the main players of Doctor Who series one.
The Cast
After his three-month on-screen stint as the Doctor, Christopher Eccleston's career continued in much the same vein, taking in theatre, interesting television roles and the odd blockbuster.
Post-2005, the Northern actor went Stateside to take on the role of invisible man Claude in the Us series Heroes. From there, he popped up in a very amusing Doctor Who-esque cameo as Dr.

How do you avoid spoilers for Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron? Jeremy Renner's solution is simple but not easy to accomplish. Even though Renner was on set, filming alongside Paul Bettany and his other fellow Avengers, Renner says he's doing his best to avoid spoilers so that he can enjoy a few surprises when he sees Age of Ultron for the first time. Speaking to THR as executive producer of The Throwaways, Renner says he's trying to stay in the dark when it comes to learning any specifics about Paul Bettany's Vision in particular. "I haven't seen [the Vision]. I kind of keep my head turned away from all of that so I can be surprised when I see the movie. Obviously I saw Paul Bettany in person as the character, but then they do the visual effects and all that sort of stuff. It will be a...

When streaming site Crackle’s parent company Sony was hacked at the end of 2014, actor Kevin Dillon worried that comedic international spy thriller “The Throwaways” would never see the light of day.
“They said, ‘Hold your horses, we’re not doing any interviews — they might push it.’ And of course they did,” Dillon told TheWrap of making press appearances for the film’s original Dec. 19 premiere date. “I didn’t know how long they were going to push it for, so I was afraid that it would take a year or two.”

Sony-owned Crackle won’t be releasing its now ironically-themed feature film The Throwaways as planned. The cyber thriller’s premiere has been postponed to sometime in January 2015. The Throwaways was originally set for release on December 19, 2014, but the recent hacks to Crackle’s parent company have caused Sony to pause that plan. An insider with knowledge on the matter told The Wrap about the postponement, clarifying Sony didn’t consider the film “appropriate” due to the company’s own cyber issues. The Throwaways stars Sam Huntington (of Superman Returns and Being Human fame) as Drew Reynolds, a hacker tracked down by the CIA and forced to choose between life in prison or working to take down a cyber-terrorist for the organization. Reynolds opts for the latter, with the condition that he can pick his own team. He selects a group of “throwaways” deemed unfit for regular duty in the CIA,...

The film centers around a character named Drew Reynolds (played by Sam Huntington of Being Human and Superman Returns fame), a hacker captured by the CIA and offered either a job with the organization or life in prison. Together, the three aim to take out a cyber-terrorist bent on destruction. Written by Michael Ross of Jerry McGuire, The Throwaways co-stars Katie McGrath from Merlin, Christian Hillborg of The Bridge, and Jack Kesy of The Strain.
