A Cannibal In Las Vegas
A man called Owen Linder tells Nick and Greg the terrible experience he was submitted. He claims that he was abducted, blindfolded and driven to a dark room smelling brimstone where the kidnapper cut off a piece of his leg and ate, but he succeeded to flee later. Nick and Greg do not believe his story, but Dr. Robbins calls Nick in the autopsy room and shows a dismembered arm with a cut similar to the Owen's leg. Soon the fingerprints identify the owner of the arm as the endoscopic surgery technician Dennis Hagel, who was fired for stealing medications. Greg checks Owen's web accesses and finds that he visited a site of vorarephilia, where cannibalism is one of the subgenres. Greg questions him again and he says that he had forgotten to tell him that he had contacted the "Eater" and they were supposed to stage a cannibalism act. When Greg shows photos of the dismembered are and says that it belonged to an endoscopic surgeon, Owen says that he needs to see a snuff movie. Sara and Morgan watch the film and they a woman named "Miss Feed" filmed by Dennis Hagel and learn that there is a cannibal in Las Vegas.
"Consumed" is an unpleasant episode of "CSI" that seems to be inspired in Brian Yuzna's "Society" (1989). I learned the word "vorarephilia" is it is amazing the there are sick people addicted in this practice. The open end is not warned that will be continued; therefore, maybe in the future there will be reference to the "Eater". Better of rewatch "Society again. Ecklie's dilemma happens in other profession, when the professional has to decide whether will follow a technical or a political career. My vote is six.
