The indie, which was set up by Amanda Jenks, who produced HBO and BBC co-pro The Girl, and Nadine Marsh-Edwards, producer of Gurinder Chadha’s Bhaji on the Beach, is looking to develop and produces scripted series for the UK, U.S. and international markets.

Marsh-Edwards said, “Now feels like an exciting time to be embracing this new venture and expanding on our slate of distinctive shows, Banijay understands the ethos of our company and we’re delighted to be working with them.

Many know Michael Biehn from his iconic roles in James Cameron’s Aliens, The Terminator, and The Abyss, but in recent years he and his wife and business partner Jennifer Blanc-Biehn have been a tremendous force on the indie scene with their production company, Blanc-Biehn Productions, which provides a platform for indie filmmakers—including themselves—to tell new stories and interact with their dedicated fan base.
Michael and Jennifer were recently at San Diego Comic-Con to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Aliens, and I had a chance to sit down with the duo to discuss their grassroots approach to indie filmmaking, Michael’s desire to play Hicks once again in a new Alien movie, and much more.
Jennifer talked about the key to being a grassroots production company by interacting with fans and getting involved with talented actors, writers, and female filmmakers.

Welcome to another horror/sci-fi round-up! This time around we have word of two big cast confirmations for Independence Day 2, details on Scream Factory's Deep in the Darkness Blu-ray / DVD release, and information on the new Blanc/Biehn Productions film, Treachery.
Independence Day 2: Last night it was revealed that the first official cast member had signed on to star in Roland Emmerich's Independence Day 2, the sequel to his 1996 film that featured massive alien-induced destruction and larger-than-life characters. It's now been confirmed that one of those characters will be coming back, as Emmerich tweeted last night that Jeff Goldblum will appear in the sequel, likely reprising his role as the brainy and dryly humorous David Levinson, who teamed up with fighter pilot Captain Steven Hiller to take down the mothership in the original film. Smith will not be coming back to reprise his role as Steven.
