- TriviaOpens with the quote, "Let me out, let me out,' the spirit cried. And the boy, thinking no evil, drew the cork out of the bottle.", from the Brothers Grimm fairytale "The Spirit in the Bottle".
- GoofsIt is not possible to bury a freight container in a forest and have the forest look completely untouched afterwards, let alone a warren of multiple interconnected containers. The ground of the forest is full of tree roots. It might be possible to cut through the roots with the heavy bucket loader needed to move all the earth but then the trees would die afterwards. Also there would be lots of tracks and marks left from the heavy bucket loader.
- Quotes
Hank Griffin: I gotta say, man, you live one weird life.
Nick Burkhardt: Tell me about it.
Hank Griffin: I guess maybe I am too, now.

The writing is starting to suffer.
If you're going to believe that monsters exist, you sometimes have buy some other things that don't make sense. You shouldn't question why the police can just kick in everyone's door without a warrant. You can't really question how multiple people are murdered in every episode and the police are never investigated. Plot holes? You just have to accept them. But this episode is where Grimm jumps the shark.
