Clever Fun, makes Great use of its Guest Stars,
The Food Wife is a great Simpsons episode with a well written plot and plenty of very funny scenes. Ir is a very fun episode that takes a simple concept that could have been quite boring and spins it on its head, making it a ton of fun. Seeing Marge, Bart and Lisa become food critics was really enjoyable, particularly as we see Homer desperately trying to be a part of the bonding.
I did think that it could have had a more prominent ending, the whole thing comes to a conclusion very abruptly. It could have had a more heartfelt, effective end.
The episode made excellent use of its guest stars, featuring real life foodies Anthony Bourdain, Mario Batali and Gordon Ramsay. Ramsay's role is particularly hilarious, featuring in a long, weird dream sequence. The highlight for me, however, had to be Adult Swim stars Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, who were both hilarious in their roles, also having a very funny rap.
It's great fun and a highlight of the twenty third season, The Food Wife is a very enjoyable Simpsons.
After being intrigued by Indian food, Marge and the kids start a food blog together, leaving Homer to feel left out.
