Good Interview on the Shock Waves Disc
From Flipper to Shock Waves (2003)
*** (out of 4)
Nice interview with actor Luke Halpin covering his time making the 1977 cult-classic SHOCK WAVES. If you're a fan of the film then you'll certainly want to check this out as the actor does a pretty good job at remembering a few interesting stories. He starts off talking about John Carradine and tells us about how he would tell stories about the Golden Age of Hollywood as well as recite Shakespeare in between the takes (something the actor was known to do). He also mentions how the filmmakers should have captured some of this as it was often the most entertaining thing going on. He also discusses working with Peter Cushing and talking about what a professional he was. He also has kind words to say about Brooke Adams, although it doesn't really go much further than that. At just 8-minutes there's not a lot of detail giving on the film but he also mentions how he got the part and tells a funny story about Cushing leaving the set of this film to enter the set of STAR WARS.
