Despite what confused non-fans on the internet say, the series finale of "Lost" is actually pretty straightforward. "I'm real. You're real. Everything that's happened to you is real," an afterlife limbo version of Jack's dad, Christian, tells him as the mystery of season 6's "flash-sideways" begins to come together. "All those people in the church, they're all real too," Christian says, explaining that the bulk of the show actually happened years earlier, and now, these characters have found one another in a collective afterlife. It's simple: everything's real, even and perhaps especially death.

Halsey is beginning a new album era with “The End,” a meditative acoustic track that follows their battle with illness.
With Alex G and Michael Uzowuru assisting in production, Halsey ruminates on the onset and subsequent depression resulting from their ailments, and finding safety and security in their partner. Throughout “The End,” Halsey narrates multiple trips to the doctor, feeling like “the end of the world” is nigh, and how “there’s poison in my brain and in my blood,” eventually ending the song by asking their partner “And I know it’s not the end of the world, but could you pick me up at 8?/ ‘Cause my treatment starts today.” Stream “The End” below.
After giving birth to their first child Ender in 2022, Halsey revealed on Instagram that they had experienced a myriad of health complications. “I was hospitalized for anaphylaxis a few times and had some other stuff going on.

Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy has been regarded as one of the best adaptations of the character to date. Fans adore all of the decisions taken, even if some changes deviate from the original story, and the filmmaker’s individual style perfectly shines through the three films.
Although he has been credited for the creative decisions taken in the series, several people helped contribute to making a series as successful as this.
Christian Bale as the Dark Knight I Warner Bros. Pictures
While there are a lot of iconic scenes throughout the series, the ending naturally stands out. It was almost unexpected for many fans, considering how optimistic it was for the character. It would seem that the idea of the positive ending did not come from Nolan but from the mind of another respected figure in the world of DC.

Barry Ward with Anna Bederke in That The May Face The Rising Sun. Ward: 'My approach to TV and film remains the same, though, in terms of research and preparation' Photo: Conic Adapted from John McGahern’s acclaimed novel of the same name and boasting a sweeping success at this year’s Irish Film and Television Awards, That They May Face The Rising Sun tells a gentle story of a couple who have relocated from London to the Irish countryside. As writer Joe (Barry Ward) rediscovers the rural life of his upbringing, the film ultimately settles on a stoic sentiment about finding peace in the mundane and the cyclical nature of life. Ward’s charisma adds to this stoicism, his warm performance imbuing the film with a quiet sense of ease and melancholia.

Will Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. return with a new series? ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s series experienced initial acclaim with productions such as WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki, marking a significant journey into television in recent times. However, subsequent series exhibited a rapid descent into formulaic narratives, eliciting viewer fatigue towards Disney+ offerings. A notable shift emerged with the revelation to revive cherished pre-Disney+ era shows, notably X-Men: The Animated Series and Daredevil. Justice are back with “Saturnine,” a new collaboration with Miguel that also serves as the latest preview of the French duo’s forthcoming album Hyperdrama. They’ve also revealed the album’s full tracklist as well as several new tour dates.
“Saturnine” combines a throbbing bassline with glitchy synths and Miguel’s smooth, falsetto-laden vocals. The duo strips the song of its power during the verses, keeping the instrumental more muted and minimal as Miguel croons intimately, landing on the confident claim “I’m exactly where I want to be.” “Saturnine” concludes with some bustling slap-bass and whirring synths, giving the song an otherworldly hue.
Due out on April 26th via Ed Banger/Because Music, Hyperdrama also promises collaborations with Thundercat, Tame Impala, Connan Mockasin, The Flints, and Rimon. The duo previously previewed the LP in January with the Tame Impala-featuring “One Night/All Night,” “Generator,” and “Incognito.”

Jack Black and Kyle Gass took over the Kung Fu Panda 4 premiere to film an impromptu music video for Tenacious D’s cover of — wait for it — Britney Spears’ classic, “…Baby One More Time.”
In the clip, Black and Gass strut around the red carpet, doing dance moves and jump-kicking while belting along to the D’s hard rock take on the 1998 pop smash. Black also ropes in a bunch of his Kung Fu Panda 4 castmates, dancing with Awkwafina, karate-chopping Bryan Cranston, and taking a punch from Ke Huy Quan.

When Chris Wedge's animated film "Ice Age" first came out in 2002, it was considered novel and striking for many reasons. It was set in prehistoric times yet eschewed dinosaurs in favor of megafauna living in the Pleistocene Epoch. The three main characters were a sloth named Sid (John Leguizamo), a smilodon named Diego (Denis Leary), and a mammoth named Manfred aka Manny (Ray Romano), and they were engaged in a great migration to flee the oncoming Ice Age. The plot of their first movie apes John Ford's 1946 Western "3 Godfathers," as the three animals discover a human infant that they must keep safe and deliver back to the then-evolutionarily-novel homo sapiens living nearby.
The design of "Ice Age" was striking, aiming for broad, stylized characters that were markedly different from the friendly, big-eyed protagonists of Disney pictures. It certainly helped that the "Ice Age" movies featured a character named Scrat,...

Richard Lewis, the master of self-deprecating comedy who whined his way to stardom with stand-up TV specials, a sold-out concert at Carnegie Hall and turns on Anything but Love and Curb Your Enthusiasm, has died. He was 76.
Lewis died peacefully Tuesday night at his home in Los Angeles after suffering a heart attack, his publicist told The Hollywood Reporter. The actor and comic revealed in April that he had been living with Parkinson’s disease and was retiring from stand-up.
“For the last three-and-a-half years, I’ve had sort of a rocky time,” he said on social media when sharing his health woes publicly after wrapping Curb‘s 12th season, which would eventually be announced as the last for the Larry David HBO comedy. Lewis had stepped away in 2021, appearing on only one season 11 episode, and returned for the now-airing final season.

Plans to restructure Germany’s national film and TV funding system are dividing the country’s film and TV industry.
Last week, Claudia Roth, Germany’s state minister for culture and the media, unveiled a three-point strategy for a revamped German Film Law (Ffg) to be accompanied by two new financial instruments of a tax incentive and an investment obligation.
The incentive scheme would replace the existing German Federal Film Fund (Dfff) and German Motion Picture Fund (Gmpf) which between them had provided around €166m in support to German and international projects in 2023, ranging from such international projects as Nine Perfect Strangers...

One of The Beatles‘ songs feels like it’s about a drug that isn’t generally associated with the band: cocaine. John Lennon dismissed this interpretation. He also dismissed cocaine.
John Lennon said this Beatles song was inspired by a real guy
The book All We Are Saying: The Last Major Interview with John Lennon and Yoko Ono features an interview from 1980. In it, John was asked about the song “Mean Mr. Mustard” from Abbey Road. The tune revolves around a man who puts bills up his nose — which could be interpreted as a metaphor for cocaine.
“That’s me, writing a piece of garbage,” he said. “I’d read somewhere in the newspaper about this mean guy who hid five-pound notes, not up his nose but somewhere else. No, it had nothing to do with cocaine.”
Elsewhere in the interview, John was asked about his feelings about cocaine. “I...

Claudia Roth, Germany’s state minister for culture and media (Bkm), has unveiled her long-awaited plan to overhaul the country’s film funding system, which includes the introduction of a 30% tax incentive and an investment obligation for streamers.
The changes to the German Film Law (Ffg) should come into effect at the beginning of 2025 once they have been passed by the Bundestag.
The proposals would see the German Federal Film Board’s (Ffa) brief being extended to oversee the film funding programme now administered by Roth’s ministry. The Ffa’s funding for production, distribution and exhibition would be allocated automatically in future.

Battered by disappointing markets at Toronto and AFM, both of which were held under the shadow of the actors strike, buyers and sellers are looking to Berlin’s European Film Market (EFM), which runs Feb. 15-21, to re-energize the indie business. The outlook, coming out of Sundance, is good.
“The difference in Sundance from last year to this was extreme, there were a lot more deals being down, both by distributors and streamers,” says Janina Vislmaier, head of sales at Protagonist Pictures, which screened The Outrun with Saoirse Ronan and Sasquatch Sunset with Riley Keough and Jesse Eisenberg in Park City, both of which will screen at the EFM. “Everyone is really excited ahead of Berlin, especially because all the buyers are back, including from Asia, which is a really good sign.”

Day 5 Box Office Estimates Of HanuMan (Photo Credit – IMDb)
HanuMan is showing a superb trend at the Indian box office as collections continue to stay higher than on the opening day. No matter how much competition there is in front of it, the film is in no mood to slow down amid the ongoing festivities of Sankranti. Let’s find out how day 5 has turned out to be!
HanuMan is having a blast in its theatrical run as no one ever predicted such a reception for this film, which has no backing of any powerful star face or star filmmaker. Initially, good promotional material did the job of garnering attention, and now, the content is doing all the talking.
It’s primarily a Telugu film, which has been dubbed in multiple languages and presented as a pan-India release. So, it’s obvious that the response has been phenomenal in the Telugu states.

"Smokey and the Bandit" was a delightful '70s action-comedy movie; it spawned two sequels, the first of which was pretty damn good. For a modern audience looking back, the series was also remarkably star-studded. It featured beloved late actors like Burt Reynolds, Jackie Gleason, Patrick McCormick, and Mike Henry, most of whom are still fondly remembered over forty years after the first movie came out. Although the series itself isn't quite as well-known among today's young viewer as we'd probably prefer, most of its cast certainly is.
But what about the actors in the series who are still alive today? What are they up to? Let's check in on the lives and careers of the remaining "Smokey and the Bandit" cast, and see how they're holding up. We might never get to see that Seth MacFarlane-penned revival series we heard about back in 2020, but it's not time to...

The HBO comedy “Curb Your Enthusiasm” – the Larry David-starrer that had its debut way back in October of 2000 – will finally sign off after more than 23 years with its 12th season beginning February 4, it was announced on Thursday. And while David’s claim of the show riding off into the sunset has seemingly accompanied the announcement of each new season over the past several years, this time he apparently means it. Or at least, HBO does.
Maybe.
“As ‘Curb’ comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be – the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character,” he said in the announcement. “And so ‘Larry David,’ I bid you farewell. Television's most acid-tongued, casually offensive, and dryly hilarious character is about to take his final curtain call. For upwards of 20 years, comedic genius Larry David has written and starred in a long-running series that follows a fictionalized version of himself. As perpetually grumpy as he is acerbic, this precise combination of personality traits has made "Curb Your Enthusiasm" into the much-watch, cringe-comedy heir to the "Seinfeld" throne. Heavy on improv and utterly packed with laughs, the HBO series has steadily cultivated a passionate following eager to join David through one wildly inappropriate social interaction after another. But after 12 rollicking seasons of menacing the greater Los Angeles area, it appears that the master of misanthropy is finally ready to call it quits.

Russell Crowe (Gladiator), Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody) and Michael Shannon (Nocturnal Animals) are set to topline Nuremberg, a historical drama set in post-war Germany that marks the latest directorial outing for veteran writer-producer James Vanderbilt (Zodiac), on the heels of the Cate Blanchett-Robert Redford starrer Truth.
Hailing from Bluestone Entertainment (Slingshot) and Walden Media, the film based on Jack El Hai’s book The Nazi and the Psychiatrist is also written by Vanderbilt. Heading into production in Hungary in February, it tells the story of American psychiatrist Douglas Kelley (Malek), who is tasked with determining whether Nazi prisoners are fit to stand trial for their war crimes, and finds himself in a complex battle of wits with Hermann Göring (Crowe), Hitler’s right-hand man. Shannon will play Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson, the chief prosecutor of the Nuremberg trials.

More than 13 years ago, the world said goodbye to Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub) after eight seasons on the USA Network. Monk is a genius detective riddled with anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and dozens of phobias. And yet, these very qualities make him such an astute investigator — "It's a gift and a curse." Now, fans get one more sample of Monk's gift with a follow-up movie, "Mr. Monk's Last Case." The film is not a "legacy sequel" as is the trend these days, but a classical post-series TV reunion movie. It's not just the main cast that returns either, but "Monk" co-creators Andy Breckmann and David Hoberman and prolific series director Randy Zisk. The reunion feels complete because of it, since their presence means the storytelling of "Mr. Monk's Last Case" feels like, well, "Monk."
In the series finale, "Mr. Monk and the End," Monk finally solved the murder of his late...

Moroccan director Hicham Lasri is presenting the world premiere of his seventh feature film, “Moroccan Badass Girl,” at the Marrakech Film Festival, and also participating in the Atlas Workshops with “Happy Lovers.” He describes both as dark comedies about antiheroes in the Arab world, “a bit in the vein of the Coen brothers.”
“Moroccan Badass Girl,” starring Fadoua Taleb, is a contemporary low-budget pic about a headstrong, unpredictable young Moroccan woman in Casablanca. “Happy Lovers” features a clumsy French writer who accepts a mission to kill a well-known author, with a fatwa on his head.
Both projects mark a major change from Lasri’s previous six feature films, which have all been set in Morocco in the 1980s, at the end of the so-called “Years of Lead,” during the reign of King Hassan II.
“Moroccan Badass Girl” is produced by Lasri through S.A. Prod., with sales handled by Mad Solutions.
