- This movie is also released in 3D. One noticeable difference is the text of the "5 Hours Later" time card zooms slightly forward.
- On Amazon Prime Video, two versions were released: the scope version (no extras) and the flat version (matted to 16:9 from 1.37:1; contains extras at the end).
- This film was rendered in both "Scope" (2.39:1) and "Academy ratio/Flat" (1.37:1, non-wide-screen), the latter of which was intended for 1.85:1 (1.78:1 for Amazon Prime version with bonus features) exhibition for use in theaters that did not use anamorphic lens projection. Each time a shot was completed for the scope version, the animators had to render another take for the "flat" version. Warner Bros. has released on Amazon Prime Video both the "anamorphic" and "spherical" versions, the latter of which also has bonus features after the film. Other CGI films also rendered in both aspect ratios included Cars (2006), The Incredibles (2004) and A Bug's Life (1998).
