First off, allow me to say that the idea seemed ridiculous from the outset. A Sci-Fi Musical? Really? But my kids love High School Musical, Twilight, and all that supernatural crap, so I bought it for them. I figured maybe it would be a low budget cult film, could be cool. Maybe some good songs. Maybe my kids would like it.
And unfortunately, they did. Now my 12 year old is walking around the house singing "Leave Your Backdoor Open," one of the numbers in the film that is clearly an ode to anal sex. I don't even want to think about having the conversation with her later in life as to why daddy showed her this film.
I would complain about the violence in this movie, but it's so poorly done it's not even worth mentioning.
The acting wasn't terrible, except for that guy who plays "Eddie." That smug jerk with his dirty mouth almost ruined the whole movie for me, I couldn't stand to watch him on screen for a moment longer.
Bottom line, stay away from this film. Half the songs are still stuck in my head, and I'm not happy about it.
