This show is surprisingly a really fun, and funny show. The characters in the show are also really well portrayed. Some of them aren't very interesting, but cast is likable. The show does have issues, it doesn't do anything new with the premise, and does fell like HSM The series. The show does have stereotypes, but the jokes are funny enough for me to forgive that. Overall this isn't an amazing show, but compared to Nicks shows now, this is one of the better ones. It's funny, fast paced, and has likable characters.

An awkward mess

I think the title of this review sums it up well... after watching it a little bit with my younger brother I have determined this show is a waste of time. He only chuckled once and it made me cringe through the whole thing. It felt like a rushed attempt to rival Disney's High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and the actors didn't have any chemistry whatsoever- I'm giving it 3 stars because I know I'm not the demographic but it was honestly one of the worst shows I've seen in a while.
Unfortunate

This is just a study in extreme stereotypes. All the characters have one trait and push that to its limit. The jock is dumb and says bro. The gay kid is dramatic in an insufferable way. The Asian girl is an overachiever.
The more I watch it, the more I like It!

I had to get used to this show. It has an unusual style. I quickly started to appreciate it. It's DIFFERENT!!! (In the age of standard, generic sitcoms different is good.) The show is filmed on location at an actual school and not on a set, which is nice! Original, funny, and underrated! I will keep watching!
A Poor Man's Version of The Office

Drama Club is Nickelodeon's version of The Office. It's filmed like a documentary, with interviews and everything. That's all it is really. It's annoying, every character is unlikable, And normally I would watch a full episode before making a review, but this time I couldn't even bear half the episode I watched. Which was the Pilot episode. If you don't like Tyler Perry's Young Dylan, or Side Hustle, or Cousins for Life, this show falls under the category. In other words I don't recommend it to anyone.
Funny and Nice at times

It show is so funny at first I didn't want to see it or have nothing to do with it. But I caved in, I watched the first and second episodes and I was like wow it is so funny they might be childish but it is a great show to watch to. I recommend it you watching it.
RIP OFF

A Mess
cassieruth-228917 April 2021
I watched two episodes of this show with my younger brother today and it was hard to sit through. It's an obvious rip-off of disney's HSMTMTS, it didn't even try to be unique. Same premise and camera style as the aforementioned show. Every character is based off of one stereotype. It seems like the director informed each actor of one personality trait of their character and told them to exaggerate that trait as much as possible. Every character is insufferable except for Mack, who is the only normal one. There is no reason or logic in this show. No chemistry between characters at all. I'm probably 10 years above the target audience so maybe I'm being too hard on it, but even at my age I still enjoy watching reruns of old Nickelodeon shows like Victorious and iCarly. However, my 10 year old brother thinks this show is hilarious.
Funny kids show

I believe that for it being a kids show, it's funny. We have to cut it some slack in the sense that it is on a kid's channel. It will not relate to many adults, since it is made for little kids entertainment. Although, it does make jokes that even catch parents off guard to laugh.
Weak and bad show

A breath of fresh-air for Nickelodeon.

This show is hilarious. I love how each character is based off of a stereotype, sort of like Total Drama in a way. The show has lgbt representation (although not shown in the show but proven by creators to be canon, and probably will be represented in later seasons), Sort of like a kids version of The Office, the title sums up the show. A middle school Drama Club, struggles in a school obsessed about football. The humor is sometimes a bit cringey, the characters personalities are a bit exsagerated, and overall the show is better than modern Nickelodeon. It's DIFFERENT, which is one of the reasons I enjoyed it so much. I'd give it a try and keep an open mind while watching it. Hoping for a Season 2!
