Exclusive: George A. Romero’s “final zombie movie” Twilight Of The Dead has got fresh impetus with producer-financier Roundtable Entertainment and a planned late 2023 start date in Puerto Rico.
The George A. Romero estate is teaming up with LA-based financier-producer Roundtable on the “seventh and final installment” of the seminal Living Dead franchise.
Horror icon Romero had written a treatment for the movie before he passed in 2017 and regarded Twilight Of The Dead as the conclusion to his epic saga, which comprised six movies and various spinoffs and remakes. The project was first revealed in 2021 but things have been quiet since then.
The script is now finished, having been taken on by Joe Knetter, Robert Lucas, and Paolo Zelati, who also worked on the treatment with Romero.

I didn’t enjoy Terrifier 2 very much, but I was very impressed by the performance delivered by heroine Lauren Lavera, who came off as a star on the rise – and who seemed like such a badass in her confrontation with Art the Clown, I could see her becoming a major force in the action genre, if that’s a path she’s interested in taking. As she continues on her way to stardom, Lavera has signed on to star in a supernatural thriller called The Well – and our friends at Bloody Disgusting were able to dig up some exclusive details on the project.
Federico Zampaglione (Tulpa: Demon of Desire) will be directing The Well and has also written the screenplay with producer Stefano Masi. The film will see Lavera taking on the role of Lisa Gray, a budding art restorer, who travels to a small Italian village to...

Photo: Jan Belcl Jan Belcl is a young, Slovenian director hot off the success of his new hit film, ‘All My Friends Are Dead’. His script features an ensemble cast of characters at a party on New Year’s Eve where things start to descend into chaos. Amidst a stellar plot, comedy and horror come together to create a wonderfully-entertaining choice for a Saturday night movie. Before directing ‘All My Friends Are Dead’, Jan worked on several large Polish films with his mentor, Mitja Okorn. Some of his filmographies includes the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Life in a Year’ with Cara Delevigne and Jaden Smith, as well as Polish romantic-comedy ‘Planeta Singli’. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to interview Jan to discuss his new film, mentor, and the Polish Cinema scene. Photo: ‘All My Friends Are Dead’/Netflix ‘All My Friends Are Dead’ premiered on Netflix in early February 2021. Clocking in at just over ninety minutes, this Polish horror film uses its screen time very efficiently. From the colorful cast of characters to the comedic elements mixed in with the horror, this movie is certainly an entertaining watch that will leave you on the edge of your seat! 'All My Friends Are Dead' - The Characters Add a Fresh, Modern Twist This film follows a few classic horror movie tropes, such as an ensemble cast of characters and a slow-burn plot that ultimately descends into a horrifyingly good time. The film follows a group of friends celebrating New Year’s Eve together when their own issues come together at a terrifying head. The characters feel fresh and modern, and the screenwriters take great care to flesh out each of their individual storylines.

A couple of things have caught our eye in February’s Netflix UK line-up, first, the German dystopian sci-fi Tribes of Europa. After the success of sci-fi series Dark, the streaming service invested in a bunch of new German-language series, including the mega-successful historical Barbarians. Tribes was among them, and tells the story of a group of siblings in 2074, separated after a global disaster that leaves Europe riven by warring factions. Also sounding like a good time is South Korean comedy Space Sweepers, about a spaceship crew tasked with cleaning up intergalactic trash.
There’s also the arrival of Parks and Recreation in full – perfect for a lockdown rewatch, new stand-up, all of The Vampire Diaries, and Jason “It’s a megalodon” Statham in The Meg.

February may be the shortest month, but that doesn’t mean streaming services can ignore their duty to entertain us at all times. In that mission, Netflix is making a decent effort in February 2021. This isn’t the most jam-packed month the major streamer has trotted out just yet but there are plenty of new originals to get the job done.
Netflix has a few original series of note this month. The party begins with Kid Cosmic on Feb. 2. This animated series is a comic-tinged adventure from Craig McCracken, creator of the Powerpuff Girls. That’s followed by the Sarah Chalke and Katherine Heigl-starring Firefly Lane on Feb. 3 and Behind Her Eyes on Feb. 17. Perhaps the biggest sleeper this month, however, is Tribes of Europa. This post-apocalyptic adventure series premieres on Feb. 19.
