When a woman is shot in bed at an upmarket hotel the CBI is called in because her husband is a businessman with powerful friends. It soon becomes apparent that she was sharing her bed with somebody other than her husband. They soon find the man, Paul Fricke
in another woman's bed! It turns out that he is a bit of a ladies man with many, many contacts in his electronic 'little black book'. He is a possible suspect but not too likely. The husband seems more likely; he may have a firm alibi but he isn't the sort of man who would get his own hands dirty. There are other possibilities of course; with all the women he's slept with there must be angry husbands and boyfriends or women upset that he didn't want a proper relationship.
This episode was rather fun. Elon Gold was amusing as Paul Fricke; a character whose behaviour many will find reprehensible but not unlikable he is at least honest with the woman he gets involved with. It is particularly amusing when Rigsby tries to use a few of his techniques on Van Pelt with unsurprisingly unsuccessful results. There is more amusement as Agent Cho shows that he has got what it takes to attract the ladies during part of an undercover operation to draw out the killer. As always Jane's behaviour also provides plenty of laughs; especially when he offends the husband of the dead woman. The cast are all on good form; I particularly liked Tim Kang's performance as Agent Cho; he plays him dead straight which was what makes him an amusing character. The final resolution is satisfying; neither too obvious nor too unexpected. Over all a fun episode with a good mystery and plenty of laughs.
