The third and final season of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is most likely going to get a release date this year, and it will change the entire history of Tite Kubo’s magnum opus. Fans have been waiting for the longest time for the most important arc of the Bleach manga series to get animated and hit the screens.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War | Studio Pierrot
However, as they wait, some fans might have found a big flaw in the narrative of Bleach that might have affected their whole perspective of one of the biggest anime and manga series of all time. This flaw points out Kubo’s inability to perfectly portray the strong characters in the series and make them look deserving of their titles.
A Reddit discussion led fans to believe that Kubo might not have correctly drawn the power scaling in Bleach, and this led to a lot of confusion.

The Rocky movies are pretty synonymous with cinema. You’ve got every kind of movie you could want, the intimate Academy Award-winning underdog original and its closely knit sequel, the fun and cheesy spectacles of Rocky III and Rocky IV, the misguided attempt to recapture its roots with Rocky V, and the old war horse, broken down, one-last-fight inspiration of Rocky Balboa. The story behind the first movie is as engaging as the movie itself, which is why it will be the subject of a new movie from Peter Farrelly called I Play Rocky.
Blu-ray.com has unveiled that Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will now be releasing the Rocky series, sans Creed spin-offs, with the new 4K Ultra HD Rocky: Ultimate Knockout Collection. The set will encompass all versions of the commercially released films in Uhd, which includes both the theatrical version of Rocky IV and the recut Rocky Vs.

Chris Pine hopes he just found Luca Guadagnino’s next project: Disney’s “Princess Diaries 3.”
The actor and “Poolman” director proposed collaborating with the “Challengers” director for the third franchise installment during Entertainment Weekly’s Role Call Youtube series.
“‘Princess Diaries 3,’ where is it?’ Have you been reading my diary?” Pine quipped when revisiting his past roles. “I don’t know. I haven’t heard anything about it.”
However, Pine did have his own pitch for the film.
“You know, like, what it would be? It would be like a Luca Guadagnino film,” Pine said. “[If he] directs ‘Princess Diaries 3,’ now that is fucking fire.”
Of course, “Princess Diaries 3” would have to come after Guadagnino’s “Separate Rooms” with Lea Séydoux and Josh O’Connor. Guadagnino is also debuting “Queer” at Cannes 2024.

Weeks before his death on March 30, the star of “The Boys” spin-off “Gen V” Chance Perdomo revealed the role on “The Boys” that he auditioned for — and failed to snag. While speaking on actor Michael Rosebaum’s podcast “Inside Of You,” Perdomo said, “I auditioned for Huey on ‘The Boys,’ and I don’t think I got close. But I remember reading it and being like, ‘I absolutely love everything about this.'”
Earlier in the interview, Perdomo said that he’d also auditioned for the role of Jughead Jones on “Riverdale” — a role that ultimately went to Cole Sprouse. “I didn’t get that, but I was close,” he said. “It was one of my first auditions. I think it was between me and three other people, or three or five.”
Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa remembered his audition, however, and “wrote [his ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ character] Ambrose with me in mind.

The Boys are heading to Ccxp Mexico this weekend (where we might finally get a new trailer), and Prime Video has debuted some new season 4 key art featuring Billy Butcher and the gang crashing Homelander's party.
As we know, the psychotic leader of The Seven will be joining Victoria Neuman on the Presidential campaign trail, and almost certainly has designs on the Oval Office himself.
Butcher doesn't have long to live following his diagnosis in the season 3 finale, but you can bet your ass he'll be using what time he has left to make Homelander's life as difficult as possible.

Supreme Court oral arguments were made for social media. Social media was not made to make Supreme Court arguments persuasive or even understandable.
The court’s latest Donald Trump case is a perfect illustration. The justices on this court are relatively young. Their questions are clear and direct, and they all are engaged, respectful, and fair. If you listen from start to finish, you can’t help but think this is the most deliberate and serious branch of the three-ring circus that is Washington, D.C.

President Joe Biden revealed his willingness to debate with Donald Trump in a recent interview with radio host Howard Stern.
Although he did not provide a specific timeline for the potential debate, it marks the first time in this election cycle that Biden indicated his openness to such an event. When asked about debating his 2024 opponent, Biden responded, “I am somewhere… I’m happy to debate him.”
Following this remark on Stern’s Sirius/Xm show, Trump’s campaign manager, Chris Lacivita, responded on social media, “Ok, let’s set it up!”
While Trump chose not to participate in any of the four Republican National Committee-sanctioned primary election debates in 2024 and withdrew from one of the three debates with Biden in 2020, he has advocated for Biden’s involvement in the three general debates scheduled for this autumn.
However, the Biden campaign has raised concerns regarding the organization of these debates...

It’s been well over a year since news first broke that Disney was moving forward with “The Princess Diaries 3.” Anne Hathaway can’t reveal any details, but she did assure fans in a recent V magazine interview that development continues on the long-anticipated sequel, and the intention remains to get it off the ground.
“We’re in a good place,” Hathaway said. “That’s all I can say. There’s nothing to announce yet. But we’re in a good place.”
Hathaway would return as down-to-earth royal Mia Thermopolis in “The Princess Diaries 3.” It appears to be the sequel she is most interested in seeing through, as she doesn’t see a feasible way to bring another one of her popular classics, “The Devil Wears Prada,” back to life.

The ethics of the movie industry has changed dramatically over the past decades, and especially when it comes to women’s position in it. There’s much more respect, stability, and security today than it used to be even 20 years ago, and both actors and actresses have come to appreciate it. It’s wild how not too long ago, there were no intimate scene coordinators — or even basic decency protocols during screening.
Anne Hathaway Slams Old Chemistry Tests

Los Angeles, April 23 (Ians) Actress Anne Hathaway reminisced about the beginning of her career, recalling an audition where she had to fake excitement about kissing ten boys, describing it as “gross.”
In an interview, Hathaway, shared that back in the 2000s it was “normal” to ask actors to “make out” with potential co-stars during chemistry tests.
“Which is actually the worst way to do it,” she told V Magazine, as reported by deadline.com.
“I was told, ‘We have ten guys coming today and you’re cast. Aren’t you excited to make out with all of them?’ And I thought, ‘Is there something wrong with me?’ because I wasn’t excited. I thought it sounded gross.”
She elaborated, “And I was so young and terribly aware of how easy it was to lose everything by being labeled ‘difficult’, so I just pretended I was excited and got on with it.

The hit CW series Supernatural was a prestige title for the CW network and spawned multiple seasons exploring the various adventures of the Winchester brothers. The horror/ fantasy series was the breakout project for Erik Kripke, who has gone on to create hit Amazon hits like The Boys and Gen V.
Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki in Supernatural
Supernatural spawned a whopping 15 seasons over 15 years. Throughout its history, the show experienced various setbacks along the way but the show always found a way to avoid being shelved or cancelled. As admirable as that may be, it is interesting to think whether the show might have survived the turbulent times that the industry faced these past few years.

[Editor’s note: The following interview contains some spoilers for “The First Omen.”]
In the final act of Richard Donner’s iconic 1976 horror feature “The Omen,” star Gregory Peck — driven almost mad by the realization this his adopted son Damien is probably the Antichrist — heads to the Italian cemetery where Damien’s cursed biological mother is said to be buried. When he cracks open her grave, he’s not entirely surprised to find, not the skeleton of a young woman, but of a large jackal. After all, he’s already been told Damien is the product of a satanic breeding ritual between the devil himself and a willing female jackal.
What Arkasha Stevenson’s prequel feature “The First Omen” presupposes is: What if Damien’s mother wasn’t actually a jackal? In the pantheon of horror classic remakes and reimaginings — like “Halloween” and “The Exorcist,” to name some recent offerings — it’s a hell of a starting point. A smart one,...

One of the biggest sleeper hits this year has definitely been IFC/Shudder’s Late Night With the Devil. Despite having a tiny budget and a very limited release window in theaters, the movie has still managed to gross a pretty amazing $6.2 million (and counting) at the box office. One day, it even managed to make an unholy $666,666, which, to be sure, is the kind of headline you just can’t make up. Star David Dastmalchian is a legend in the horror/ sci-fi community and seems on the verge of true leading-man status. While, throughout his career, he’s shared the screen with many iconic stars, it turns out there was one name in the cast list that impressed him more than any other.
“I’m been in movies with some very cool people, Harrison Ford to name one,” said Dastmalchian. “But, being in a film where Michael Ironside is...

D.B. Weiss and David Benioff made a return to form with their latest offering, Netflix’s 3 Body Problem. A science fiction story that is more than an average alien invasion, the creators of the show revealed in an interview what they were influenced by while making this show.

Vampire survival base-builder V Rising launched in Steam early access in May 17, 2022. Just within one year of frequent updates, Stunlock Studios is gearing up for its full release on May 8.
The full release promises to add an endgame zone titled ‘The Ruins of Mortium’. The Steam announcement talks about “a final chapter to cap off your Vampire journey”, which likely means raising the current level cap of 84.
Stunlock Studios also highlights the addition of full gamepad support that V Rising was sorely lacking in its early access period. Otherwise, the castle building system is also getting a few touchups which has been arguably one of the better aspects coming out of the indie open-world survival title.
Here are the full list of features coming with V Rising’s 1.0 release:
Explore a new deadly endgame zone: The Ruins of Mortium! A final chapter to cap off your Vampire journey! Dynamic endgame events!

Batman actor Michael Keaton reprised his role as the DC hero in the recent comic book film The Flash. Although it’s become a tradition for Batman actors to work out for the role, Keaton was able to skip the process.
Michael Keaton was already in shape for ‘The Flash’ Michael Keaton | Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic
Keaton’s Batman was officially canonized into DC’s expanding multiverse in The Flash. The movie would see the actor portraying his and Tim Burton’s Batman for the first time since 1992’s Batman Returns. When offered the part, Keaton seemed more than willing to don the cape and cowl again. He admitted he was mostly interested in how his character would be approached after so many years.

On Tuesday, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito continued his criticism of the high court’s landmark same-sex ruling in a five-page statement that gave a detailed explanation as to why the court declined to hear a case that involved a Missouri lawsuit.
The case, Missouri Department of Correction v. Jean Finney, involved a dispute when jurors who voiced religious concerns about same-sex marriage were dismissed from an employment discrimination case.
In his statement, Alito agreed with the Supreme Court’s decision not to hear the Missouri lawsuit. However, he said he believed it “exemplifies the danger” he anticipated in the 2015 Obergell v. Hodges case.
He further explained, “Namely, that Americans who do not hide their adherence to traditional religious beliefs about homosexual conduct will be “labeled as bigots and treated as such by the government.”
Alito wrote that the way Obergefell v. Hodges written in 2015 “made it clear that the...

The 1990s decade had set a pathway for the anime and manga industry, which was further developed by the Big Three. Mobile Suit Victory Gundam was one of the few anime that held the credit for paving the way. The anime followed the military science fiction and the mecha genre, and it felt a mark on every anime fan’s mind with its plot and amazing mecha suits.
The anime featured war and the aftereffects of horrific man-made disasters. Mobile Suit Victory Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino took the reference to the latest war, the Ukraine-Russia war, and made a few interesting comments on Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin. He said if Putin had watched his magnum opus, the Ukraine-Russia war would not have happened in the first place.

Sylvester Stallone is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the history of Hollywood, as he made a name for himself as the king of action movies in the 70s and 80s. Nowadays, the Call of Duty franchise is performing in top form. Every new game in this series manages to break some kind of sales record. It’s not even a surprise, given how many gamers have made Call of Duty their go-to franchise for some multiplayer fun.
Another reason for its unmatched success is just the fact that Call of Duty is currently running this race without competition. The nearest competition this franchise has ever seen is in Battlefield, but that too has lost its steam. But how? What happened to the Battlefield franchise was that it continued to go downhill. Let’s try and find out.

The long-running Saw franchise is headed back to the big screen this Halloween season, with the box office success of last year’s Saw X paving the way for this year’s Saw XI.
Bloody Disgusting can exclusively report this week that Saw X director Kevin Greutert will return to direct the upcoming Saw XI! In addition to Saw X, Greutert directed both Saw VI in 2009 and later Saw: The Final Chapter in 2010, along with the horror movies Jessabelle in 2014 and Jackals more recently in 2017. He also edited Saw I through V and Jigsaw.
This has to be considered very good news for Saw fans, as most felt that Saw X was a much-needed course direction for the franchise, finally bringing it back to the highs of the past. The overturning of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 landmark Roe v. Wade decision last year immediately saw devastating consequences for so many and ignited British born, California based filmmaker Nazrin Choudhury to write a script which examined the fallout of this regressive and harmful decision on the very individuals who have been most affected. Oscar nominated drama short Red, White and Blue follows a young mother, struggling to keep her head above water while lovingly caring for her two children and in dire need of help. The previously available solution to her immediate problem has however been ripped away from her, forcing her to go on a literal and metaphorical journey of reflection, hardship and struggle to access medical assistance which should be a given. Choudhury fastidiously built a lived-in, relatable world which doesn’t aim to shock or disturb but rather depict the perverse hurdles this backwards erosion...

Badland Hunters is the latest film starring action hero Ma Dong-seok, and that is bad news for Korea. He was in Train to Busan in which the country was overrun with zombies, and in Ashfall where a massive volcanic eruption laid waste to the entire Korean Peninsula. And the amount of property damage he wracked up in The Outlaws and its sequels The Roundup and The Roundup: No Way Out would bankrupt most insurance companies.
In the opening scenes, Seoul is levelled by a catastrophic earthquake as the military are about to arrest Yang Gi-su for the murders and human experiments he’s committed trying to bring his daughter back from the dead. The building collapses on him, but you know he’ll be back later in the film.

As she strolls comfortably toward multiple Oscar nominations for “Barbie,” Greta Gerwig is on track to set several Academy Awards records tied to her age, gender and the movie’s financial success. In terms of more general achievements, perhaps the most impressive one in her reach is becoming the first filmmaker to have all of her initial three solo features contend for Best Picture. Over the past 95 years, many directors have had shots at earning that distinction and a few have come remarkably close, but none of their chances have been quite as strong as hers.
Since Gerwig did not produce her first two independently-directed films – “Lady Bird” (2017) and “Little Women” (2019) – and, per academy rules, cannot officially share in a “Barbie” Best Picture nomination due to her screen credit of “executive producer” (rather than the qualifying “producer” or “produced by”), she does not and will not soon have any bids...

The growing pantheon of films and TV series inspired by podcasts continues apace with such noteworthy spinoffs as “Homecoming,” “The Dropout” and “WeCrashed” leading the pack.
It doesn’t seem so common in the Spanish language but Spanish podcast producer TrueStory is hoping to change that. The award-winning three-year-old company, operating from the U.S. and Spain, has inked a pact with Spanish production companies Kowalski Films (box office hit “Ocho Apellidos Vascos”) and Feelgood Media (Icíar’s Bollaín’s “Maixabel”) to co-create a podcast of actual events that can later be adapted into audiovisual formats.
To date, titles adapted from Spanish-language podcasts are few, although some have emerged in recent years, led by “El gran apagón” from Podium Podcast, which inspired the Movistar Plus+ series “Offworld” (“Apagón”); “El crimen de la guardia urbana” on Netflix, adapted from Carlos Porta’s podcast “Crims”; and “XRey,” the podcast about former Spanish...

Bradley Cooper‘s first movie as a director, “A Star is Born,” reaped eight Oscar nominations in 2019. We think his sophomore outing, Netflix’s Leonard Bernstein biopic “Maestro,” could earn even more recognition from the academy. The movie, which was released in US theaters on November 22 before heading to Netflix on December 20, stars Cooper as Bernstein while Carey Mulligan plays his wife, Felicia Montealegre. Bernstein was a big personality and “Maestro” could be in for a big year. Let’s take a look at all of the categories in which we think “Maestro” could be a major contender.
