- Bree's success has the women feeling jealous; Mike feels he's not apart of M.J's life; Gabrielle hatches a plan to have more sex with Carlos; Dave's motives for moving to Wistera Lane continues to take shape.
- Bree's new cookbook and entrepreneurial success has the women of Wisteria Lane feeling jealous, especially Lynette who's longing for a taste of her bread winning days as an ad executive leads her to lend an unsolicited hand to Bree's marketing plan. Meanwhile, M.J.'s drawing of a family portrait of him, Susan, and Jackson has left Mike feeling like he's not a presence in his son's life anymore. Gabrielle hatches a plan to have more sex with Carlos, but their daughter, Juanita, gets a first-hand view of it. Susan teaches a reluctant M.J. how to fall off his bicycle when Jackson begins teaching him to ride instead of Mike. Also, Dave's motives for moving to the neighborhood continue to take shape as he continue to hide his prison background from Edie as well as his violent temper he keeps under control with numerous sedatives, and he also persuades Mike to move into a house that he buys down the street, by working behind the scenes to have some mysterious and sinister plan for everyone involved.—Anonymous

Previously On: Orson felt squeezed out by Bree's new-found success and her keeping of her former married name Van de Kamp as her stage name; Tom started a garage band with Dave Williams; Dave has an angry past; McCluskey found it odd how little Edie knows about her husband; Susan got a boyfriend
A kindergarten teacher asks her students to draw a picture of their family and she displays it on family night. MJ drew a picture of Mike and Susan standing in front of the house with Mike with big muscles and a wrench in his pocket and a shark attacking the house and a little man to one side. MJ comes up and explains that the man is actually Jackson and it's a paintbrush, not a wrench and the little man outside is Mike because he's always so far away.
Susan, Lynette, Katherine, and Gaby come in to congratulate Bree on her new cookbook. Mary Alice voices over about how jealous the girls really are but how good friends always work hard to hide jealousy. Bree gives them all advance copies and inscribes them identically. Bree tells them about the great marketing campaign: TV, print ad. Gaby worries that Bree is going to get famous and have no time for them. Katherine assures them Bree will never change. Bree agrees saying she will never become stuck up and full of herself. Katherine says that's not what she said. Lynette asks to see the marketing plan since that's what she used to do for a living. Bree hands it to her saying she'd love to hear her thoughts. Susan is skeptical Bree will still want to hang with them when she's fabulous. Bree says she's no more fabulous than them. Andrew calls and informs Bree she's been named Businesswoman of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce and she squeals. She looks at the girls faces and lies saying she's excited the dry cleaner found her sweater.
Bree calls Orson from the car saying she's got exciting news and is on her way to his office to tell him. Sitting in the park Orson says not to, that he's in a high level meeting, just as a steel drum player starts playing in the background. Bree is skeptical until she spies him from her car in the park. Then he spies her. Oops.
Mike has brought MJ a bike. Susan wanted to wait until his birthday. Susan says the drawing didn't mean that Mike is a bad dad and that this was unnecessary. Mike says he doesn't need to be psycho-analyzed. He's glad Susan's dating a great guy and just wanted to buy his kid a bike. Jackson arrives and MJ shows off his bike to him.
Carlos and Gaby are watching/listening to TV when Juanita asks if her friend Bethany can go home. Although she's only been over 20 minutes, Juanita's mad that all she does is spin around. Carlos wants to know why Gaby is shoving that little weirdo down Juanita's throat. Gaby points out that if Juanita is invited to this girl's play-date then they can have sex, since their other child is in pre-school.
Orson comes clean that he's been pretending to go to work for three weeks. He was laid off after his parole officer called and outed him for lying about having a criminal record. Bree is upset that he felt he couldn't tell her. He says he feels bad since when they got married he was the breadwinner and now she's the big shot. She reassures him of his place in the world. And then he asks why the Chamber of Commerce called. She tells him and his self-esteem nosedives again.
Dave and Tom are auditioning a neighbor guitar player for the band. Tom loves him but Dave is less excited, saying he had chops but no heart. Dave suggests Mike. Tom said Mike said he was too busy. Dave says to have Mike call him. Tom says okay, but what about this guy Donald? Dave claps him on the shoulder, looks him in the eyes and says Donald's out, okay? Tom agrees but looks confused.
Tom comes in from rehearsal all jazzed up. Lynette has earplugs in and doesn't hear him. She's been coming up with a new marketing plan for Bree. She's looking at her old portfolio and is excited to remember how good she was. She thinks that Bree's good fortune could be a way to stick her toe back into marketing/advertising on a freelance basis. Tom asks when sh'ell find time for the restaurant and the family if she does that. She says the same way he does for his band and plops her earplugs back in to ward off his complaints.
The kids are away in the afternoon and Gaby and Carlos get ready to knock boots. He asks her to put on a teddy and she asks why since he can't see it. He says since going blind sex is better since he has to rely on his other senses. She's jealous. He says he can arrange for her to have blind sex.
Orson enters Bree's kitchen/office with a spring in his step. His job interview went badly but he's hit upon the idea: he wants to be her business partner. Katherine, who has been arranging flowers in the background is livid and calls Bree over to have an angry conversation in code about how the lilies are crowding out the irises. She reminds her she has a partner. Bree says the lilies and irises can work together. Katherine says to tell Orson no or she'll walk. Bree says she doesn't want to mix marriage or business. He says he can't find a job. She says to give it another month and if he still hasn't found anything they'll revisit the idea. He is hurt but understands.
Gaby and Carlos finish up their full blind sex and Gaby agrees its amazing. Carlos talks about doing it again but when Gaby spies Juanita drinking a juice box at the foot of their bed she concludes that they are done. Bethany's mom brought her back. Juanita wonders what her parents were doing. Gaby says they were wrestling. Juanita hopes Carlos didn't hurt Gaby since she was making loud noises. Gaby says no problem, sometimes she fakes being hurt when wrestling with daddy. (Heh-heh). After Juanita leaves Carlos says it might be time to tell Juanita the facts of life. Gaby disagrees saying that explaining sometimes mommy rides daddy like a mechanical bull for jewelry will not make sense to her.
Mike calls Susan and says since he's got free time he wants to come over to teach MJ to ride his bike. Susan says he's excited to have his dad teach him as we see outside the window where Jackson is teaching MJ to ride, successfully, without training wheels. Susan turns, sees it, screams and runs outside to convince them to stop and pretend like Mike taught him. Jackson says MJ begged him and even said "pwease."
Lynette is showing Bree her marketing plan. Bree says she can't believe she came up with something so elaborate. Lynette takes this as praise and insults Bree's ad guys as lame and boring. Bree says they were going for understated. Lynette argues that Bree needs to grab her audience and be jazzier and bolder. Bree says she appreciates Lynette's work but she's already approved the old campaign. Lynette says she'll be the bad guy and fire the old guy. Bree says no, she likes the old campaign. Lynette says her campaign is better and Bree concedes shes entitled to her opinion. Lynette continues to steamroll saying she used to own this town when it came to marketing/advertising and was even named businesswoman of the year. Bree seizes the moment and spills that she's getting it this year and hopes Lynette can make the lunch. She makes her getaway saying that Lynette is right that her colors are indeed jazzy.
Mike is waiting by MJ's bike full of excitement as Susan comes out with MJ covered head to toe in gear protective gear. MJ says he doesn't want to fall. Susan explains that daddy really wanted to teach him how to ride and that falling is part of the deal in convincing him that he doesn't already know how. Mike observes that MJ is already riding like a pro. Susan keeps gesturing to him to fall. He still doesn't want to, he's scared. He finally makes a dead stop after riding perfectly and falls. Mike runs over to help and MJ says he's hurt. Susan pshaws until MJ says that no, in fact, he's really hurt.
In the hospital Mike is blaming himself. MJ has a sprain. Susan says to blame the pavement, not himself. The doctor comes out and blows Susan's cover. Mike is mad. Susan tries to assuage him and says that you can't give a 5-year-old a bike and expect him to wait to ride it. She says that this is what divorce means, missing stuff. Mike says it's hard. Susan agrees and says she misses things when MJ is with Mike. She says they just need to come to terms with the guilt.
Dave comes home and asks Edie if Mike has called. He hasn't. The old Young house is up for sale and Edie wants to buy it as an investment. As Dave angrily opens a box with a snare drum in it, he puts the kibosh on the idea saying he doesn't want to be a landlord. She says they could hire a management company. His hands are shaking and he yells at her that he said no. She asks why he's yelling at her. He says he has a lot on his mind, apologizes and runs upstairs. He opens a locked briefcase under the bed and takes a series of meds.
Gaby comes to pick up Juanita at Bethany's and it turns out that Juanita shared her facts of life conversation with all the other kids which means no more playdates for either Juanita or Carlos and Gaby. Carlos says he'll fix it. Juanita has also shared the facts with her younger sister.
Orson has decided to sleep in the guest room, claiming that Bree snores and that even if she can't hear it, he can. She tells him to come back to bed. He declines.
Dave calls Mike saying he has a busted pipe. Mike says he'll be there in an hour. Dave then busts his pipe with a baseball bat.
Carlos explains to Bethany's parents why they explained to Juanita. They understand. Bethany's parents offer to accept Juanita back into the playdate saying they overreacted because they want Bethany to keep her innocence as long as possible. Carlos and Gaby agree and Carlos says he wants his girls to believe in Santa Claus as long as possible. Bethany overhears this and is distraught. Gaby gamely says so the next playdate is Monday at 1 as Bethany wails.
Mike is fixing Dave's pipe when he asks him about joining the band. Mike declines, saying he's too busy. Dave tries to coax him. Mike says between work and trying to spend time with his son and living 30 minutes away would make it hard. Dave asks if he's thought about moving closer. Mike says he may play like a rock star but he's not rich like one and can't afford the rents in this neighborhood. Dave claps him on the shoulder and predictably has thought of a way to make Edie happy and get Mike into the band.
Bree is at the Chamber of Commerce luncheon. Lynette is complaining about how horrible Bree's marketing/ad campaign. The other ladies tell her to let it go. Bree comes over to introduce Stu, who it turns out is Lynette's old assistant and Bree's new ad guy. He now has his own company. Lynette says she went into business for herself and Gaby helpfully offers that she makes the best pizza in town. That is not what Lynette meant, saying that's more Toms business. She is freaked that this young kid who shlepped her coffee is now calling his own shots and boldly claims she's still doing some freelance stuff. He asks for her card since they're always working late, and he'd love to order from her pizzeria, even though he knows it would be a shlep for her since he works all the way across town. He whisks Bree away to introduce her to some people. Awkward.
Edie is on the computer when Dave comes home and informs her that they're going to buy that house after all, as a good investment opportunity. She is thrilled and says she promises to rent it out for top dollar. He says he wants to do someone a favor first.
Bree calls Orson wondering why he's not at the luncheon. He's at a job interview. Even though he doesn't have to be there until 4, he's boning up on the company. (Wasn't he a dentist???) She says she wants him there since it's her big day. He sincerely tells her to enjoy it since she earned it and hangs up on her.
Lynette is getting drunk and stewing about Stu. She thinks she needs to warn Bree. The women are trying to manage her. She interrupts Bree's conversation with Stu with a coupon cross-promotion idea. Stu is going to disagree. Bree pulls her away and tries to reason with her but Lynette's all, you with your big award and I'm just a housewife. Bree says she never said that. Lynette offers when she was an award-winning big shot and Bree was just a housewife she never looked down on Bree. Bree is understandably upset. And her big moment has arrived. Lynette leaves through the emergency exit setting off an alarm.
Mike has come to tell Susan and MJ about his new place, right across the street. Susan thinks it's a little weird, but it's good for MJ. He says he'll see her around.
Edie and Dave are out for a walk and she wonders why he didn't tell Mike that they're the new owners of his house. Dave doesn't want Mike to feel like Dave is his landlord. Edie says with the rent they're charging him its more like a fairy godmother. He calls it an investment in good karma. She's bummed she's finally doing something nice in the neighborhood and she can't brag about it.
Lynette comes to apologize to Bree saying that she was jealous and Bree is now experiencing the kind of success Lynette dreamed of and she thought if she could hitch a ride on that success she wouldn't feel so bad about herself. Bree breaks down and says her success has come at the expense of her friends doubting her loyalty, her partner being angry, and her husband sleeping in the guest room. Lynette says Bree is at the beginning of a great journey and she will be cheering her on every step of the way, as will the rest of her jealous/very proud friends, and that she'll figure the rest out. Bree is grateful but as Lynette leaves she looks forlorn and unsure.
Mary Alice's voice over is about jealousy as Bree waves to Katherine as they take out their trash. In Katherine's trash? Bree's book. Gaby sits on the porch jealously watching a couple make out. Mike moves boxes in and jealously looks at Jackson playing with MJ in Susan's house. Orson awakens to see a gift box on his nightstand. In it? A chef's hat. He comes to her bed and thanks her. She asks him to promise that he'll never leave their bed again. He says, "I promise...partner."
