Henson Company tries its hand at late night
minutolo4 September 2020
Surprisingly enough, this is a oddly entertaining experience. It both satirizes late night while also keeping the audience engaged. It's fun but could possibly scare younger viewers. The gritty puppet designs could spook the youngins.

Entertaining!
reneishungry4 September 2020
So I immediately go to episode 7 upon to find my favorite guest Raven-Symoné from "Thats so Raven". This show really is captivating with its funny and quirky dialogues. I do find the show more for adults than for kids or even at least teenagers. Which I find that good! After Raven there was another guest which I don't know but was mention from Reno 911 and American Dad.

Even if you don't know the guest you will still find it entertaining!

It's only a clod
apchapman-1522324 April 2021
Overall I like the show. I realize it is puppets. However they still can communicate a message to adults and children alike. In episode three, one Clod kills another Clod in an unfair manner. They were both to put their weapons away. One did and the other killed him. Cornelius's comment was, oh don't worry. It's only a clod. You may think I take things too seriously, but in today's environment with people being killed unnecessarily it shows that life of others is not necessarily valuable if they're not like us. So to say it's OK because it's only a Clod bothers me. If I were watching with a child, I definitely have to discuss this with them.

HILARIOUS!
josephinecraig5 September 2020
I was hooked after the first episode. Andy Richter was hilarious as the abducted special guest. Ned the host who is also an alien space captain abandons his plans to destroy earth and pursue a career as a talk show host. Ned is very ignorant about the ways of humans but trying his best to fit in while drinking humans favorite beverage... mayonnaise...😆 this is a very fun watch.

Quirky, Fun Show!
stephd-728387 September 2020
I watched all of the episodes of Earth to Ned in one afternoon. It took me an episode or two to get into it, but I loved it. I think the episode with the Jenny Slate segment was the funniest one! They were all entertaining. The characters are great. I like that the celebrity interaction seems casual. It doesn't feel like a scripted show. I hope there are more episodes to come! I'm looking forward to meeting Ned's dad eventually. Give it a chance.

Awful

Not appropriate for kids, not funny for adults, constantly tries to be a good show while doing everything that bad shows do, scripted interviews without jokes just so pointless and noxious.

Surprisingly funny and awesome puppet design
pbobbs12 September 2020
I love seeing what the Henson Company puts out there and this show has really great puppet design, the mouth on Ned is particularly impressive how it forms words so seamlessly and you can soon forget he's a puppet. But I was really surprised how funny the writing is. The interviews have an improv feel to them. It has the great kind of Muppets humor that delights kids but is also ironic and complex enough to crack up adults. Ned himself had a Martin Short as Jiminy Glick kind of vibe I find hilarious. I am fully enjoying it after a few episodes.

Just so fun
rcrystal-461358 September 2020
This show is so light-hearted and funny. I enjoyed it a lot. I think what makes it very enjoyable is that Ned and Cornelius are innocent to human ways and get to learn about humans from his guests.

Lame for adults, maybe kids would lik it.

Painful for me to watch. I can only guess the target age group is 10 and under. Even them]n I'm not sure i would have any appeal.

Surprisingly silly and cute.
savvypatachonica22 January 2021
It's a very goofy concept, and I was highly skeptical, but it's actually pretty quirky and fun. Kind of like a cross between Jiminy Glick and Space Ghost Coast to Coast but with muppets (and with a bit of a Comedy Bang Bang tone, if you're familiar). Great voice acting and editing too... not every joke totally lands, but no cringe worthy humor so far and it has made me laugh out loud several times.

Light, silly and refreshing, with great puppeteering from the Henson studio.

I love this show.
Ibrakeforufos31 January 2021
It's semi scripted (obviously, because puppets are built for specific skits) but FYI the guests have a watered down script and most of the jokes are told for the first time in front of the guest. I also get the impression The Ned puppeteer ad libs a bit. It's as much a late night show as it is a real talk show. It's humor that the whole family will be able to watch with some innuendo that is craftily hidden behind the trademark Muppets veneer. For example.

"Wow, this is a great space deck, but it's smaller than I expected"

"Well, the other deck is better, but it's not about the size of the deck..."

Someone else said they missed Craig Ferguson and that this is a worthy replacement. I agree! It's super stupid yet highly clever. So glad Disney+ brought it back after hiatus.

Absolutely hilarious ;0)
w_o_l_f28 January 2021
This is the late night show I have been waiting for ever since Craig Ferguson went off the air. This show is down right hilarious and I love every second of it. No political crap, no trending crap. Just fun, an alien who loves celebrities and simply wants to understand humans.

I may have found a new comfort show
niamh-7387619 December 2021
Cute, funny, and easy to watch. It bears similarities to other Henson Company works, but is at the same time a fun and original concept. A talk show hosted by aliens? What's not to love!

Underrated and hilarious
anniegunning11 September 2022
I loved every minute of Earth to Ned! This show didn't get it's due. An absolute blast for the whole family. Imaginative writing and beautiful puppetry! It should have run for several seasons. Cornelius made me lol regularly especially during his excursions. Disney needed to give it more promotion. Hopefully it was just ahead of its time and will be releasing new episodes at some point. In the meantime, I will continue to watch the episodes from season 1. This and the Simpsons collection are the only reasons I have a Disney plus account. I'm 100% serious! Don't sleep on 🌏 to Ned if you love comedy and puppets!

Slow build, but eventually silly and delightful
savvypatachonica19 February 2021
I was not at all into the first episode, but kept watching because it's Covid times and I'm bored. It got more goofy and lovable as time went on, and you become attached to the characters (and the quirkiness of the puppeteering) and the puppets themselves / the absurdity of it all.

It's not genius but it's cute, harmless fun. A lot of the guests are fun and on point, and it's well edited. It makes me smile, even if it's dumb. I think we all need a smile where we can get one... plus in true muppet fashion, it's kid friendly but there are jokes only adults will be giggling at.

Tilting the score a bit higher because it deserves more of a chance to grow.

Pretty fun if you give it a chance
savvypatachonica2 February 2021
I was highly skeptical, because of other shows like Muppets Tonight that have tried a similar concept and fell flat. After a few episodes, I found myself full on giggling at the absurdity of it all.

It's very light and silly, the voice acting (and editing) is very solid, the creature/puppet design is great... it's all just goofy fun. I've had a hard time winning others over to give it a chance, but it's a refreshingly silly little show with some lovably odd alien puppets that might make you smile if you let them.
