Jenna Ortega is heading into production on season 2 of the Addams Family-inspired Netflix series Wednesday and has a prominent role in the long-awaited sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, but she’s no longer a part of two other franchises. After starring in Scream (2022) and Scream VI, she reportedly asked for a substantial pay raise to return for Scream 7, despite knowing that request wouldn’t go over well with the producers at Spyglass Media – and sure enough, Spyglass opted not to bring her back for Scream 7. Now the full trailer for the upcoming Netflix animated series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory – which serves as a follow-up to the animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous – reveals that Ortega’s Camp Cretaceous character Brooklynn has been killed off! “Jurassic World: Chaos Theory” Trailer – “Camp Cretaceous” Sequel Kills Off Jenna Ortega’s Character
In the wake of the five-season animated series “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous,” Netflix’s “Jurassic World: Chaos Theory” is stomping its way onto the platform this year.
“Jurassic World: Chaos Theory” premieres May 24, and the series is set six years after the events of “Camp Cretaceous.” Watch the official trailer from Netflix below.
While the other characters from “Camp Cretaceous” are back in the new series, what’s interesting here is that Jenna Ortega’s Brooklynn is not coming back. As the official “Chaos Theory” trailer reveals, Brooklynn was killed off between shows, with the character’s death kickstarting the “conspiracy thriller” events of this brand new Jurassic World sequel series.
Jenna Ortega had voiced Brooklynn for all five seasons of “Camp Cretaceous.”

From the tiniest micro-organism to the far reaches of the universe, sci-fi adaptations have made a triumphant splash across multiple streaming platforms. For decades, the collective groans that routinely followed book-to-tv adaptation announcements were a given.
At the same time, many science fiction books are so steeped in lore, character motivations, politics, and scientific complexities that converting prose to a "show but don't tell" format is a tall task.
Star Trek, for instance, has historically been pretty cut and dry with its science. A phaser will vaporize you, and a transporter will, well, transport you.
Now, imagine explaining the three-body problem from a show but don't tell approach.
Thankfully, the rash of exciting new sci-fi adventures solves these riddles with filmmakers and writers who are passionate about the material.
The 3 Body Problem is practically the face of Netflix right now, while Apple TV+ is going all in with upcoming adaptations...

For 30 years, the "Jurassic Park" films have helped keep prehistoric beasts on the big screen, dating back to Steven Spielberg's original, groundbreaking blockbuster. Ever since, this has pretty much been the only game in town as far as dinosaurs go. Sure, other movies have tried to do dino action on a large scale, such as the recent Adam Driver sci-fi flick "65," but nothing ever seems to truly click with audiences in a meaningful way. At least not nearly on the level that these movies have for three decades.
Across three decades and spanning six films, the franchise has come a long way. For anyone looking to revisit the series, or perhaps anyone who fell off at some point and wishes to get back on board to see what John Hammond's dream of uniting dinosaurs and mankind together after 65 million years resulted in, we've got you covered. So,...

Peacock has announced an upcoming animated Lego special that will adapt the classic story of Steven Spielberg’s “Jurassic Park.”
The 22-minute special, titled “Lego Jurassic Park: The Unofficial Retelling,” will stream exclusively on the platform this fall. The poster features the iconic dino park logo assembled out of Legos.
From Universal Pictures, Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment and the Lego Group, the special is part of a year-long 30th anniversary celebration of the original “Jurassic Park” movie and is linked to Lego’s “Jurassic Park” 30th anniversary merchandise.
Based on the 1990 Michael Crichton novel of the same name, “Jurassic Park” tells the story of a scientist who develops technology to bring long-extinct dinosaurs back to life. The dinos are intended to be kept safe in a theme park for the public’s enjoyment, but, of course, all does not go as planned.

In 2022, Jurassic World Dominion released to the world, seemingly the final chapter in the Jurassic Park saga. If you don’t want 65 million years for cloning technology to get advanced enough to witness the re-creation of dinosaurs from DNA, or can’t travel to one of the Universal theme parks to get up close and personal, we’ve got you covered. It’s been 29 years since the first Jurassic Park film, but with six movies across three decades, it’s easy to lose a bit of the dino plot along the way.

After introducing feathered dinos earlier this year, developer Frontier Developments will be shoring up the aquatic dinosaur component to Jurassic World Evolution 2. The “Prehistoric Marine Species Pack” Dlc for Jurassic World Evolution 2 will be coming August 10th to PC and consoles at $7.99 Usd, bringing with it four new marine species, as well as the all-new Lagoon Rock Platform.
Joining the existing roster of aquatic dinosaurs are Archelon (the largest turtle ever discovered), Nothosaurus (as seen in the Netflix show “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous”), and the Shonisaurus. The Dlc also includes a non-reptillian addition with Dunkleosteus, a powerful armoured fish from the Late Devonian period.
As for the new Lagoon Rock Platform, players can add this to their enclosure to provide gathering crowds with new ways to observe the Archelon and Nothosaurus, as they rest above the water.

In February 2013, Dreamworks Animation Television teamed with Netflix on its first-ever children’s and family series, Turbo Fast. Just four months later, the studio and streamer would unveil a multiyear content deal — 300 hours of exclusive original, first-run content.
The pact was the official beginning of the television animation studio and at that time, the largest content deal in the streamer’s history. One of the most significant signs of the rise and permanence of the streaming era, the deal heralded a new age for the kids and family content industry.
Dreamworks Animation TV and current Dwa president Margie Cohn’s team would spend the next decade steering the studio through that and an NBC Universal acquisition, producing more than 2,100 episodes of animated programming across 43 series and partnering with Netflix, Apple TV+, Hulu, Peacock, Amazon and free-to-air broadcasters around the globe.

As the WGA strike continues amid what all parties believe will be a long-haul showdown, “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous” creator Zack Stentz knows that there’s a big difference between the excitement and can-do spirit on the second day versus the second month.
“At that point, they start wondering if they are going to make the rent or the mortgage payment or if they are younger if they are going to have to move back in with their parents,” noted Stentz.
The screenwriter behind “X-Men: First Class” and “Thor” sat down for a conversation with TheWrap. Among the issues discussed were the initial vibe among strike participants, how one of his early television successes may have been a casualty of the last WGA strike in 2007, and what leverage the streamers and the networks have up their sleeves if they are “smart” enough to use them.

Working on an animated project for Warner Bros. Discovery has become a game of chicken with CEO David Zaslav in charge, as every week seems to bring about another round of shows that are either scrubbed from streaming platforms, or are outright cancelled during production.
