When Jim is fighting the clowns in the bar, he is thrown over the bar to the back. A black hat is seen falling past him. There is a large stuffed clown figure sitting at the back of the bar. Subsequent shots show the clown wearing and then not wearing the black hat.
West takes a high fall along with a pair of henchmen into a cushioned pit covered with a sheet of black plastic and a layer of sawdust.
West must tip over the chair to which he is bound to avoid being speared at any moment. He removes the heel from his right boot to help effect his escape. When the chair hits the floor and he begins to scramble to untie himself, we can see that both heels of his boots are attached. If not impossible that he could have reattached the heel with his hands tied, it is highly unlikely that he would have stopped to do so given the need to get out of the chair as fast as possible.
During the opening scene, the chimpanzee tosses what appears to be an explosive metal ball. Upon closer inspection, it is a painted golf ball.
Amelia Bronston arms herself with what appears to be a .38 revolver with an external extractor rod beneath the barrel. This type of configuration, common today, did not appear on revolvers until the 1890s, notably the Colt - a couple of decades beyond the time period which the series is set.
