- I sometimes like timely references in broadcasts and this episode is one of them.
The episode some might say is Mork and Mindy jumping the shark with Mindy looking to interview Robin Williams. Mork is mistaken for Robin (for some reason, only now) and is mobbed by fans with his clothes torn to shreds. Mindy and Mork finally get to meet Robin prior to him doing a live stand up appearance. Prior to his show, Mork asks Robin why he does what he does if he is constantly mobbed. Robin then educates Mork on why it can be a good thing, leaving Mork wiser for the wearer.
In his conversation with Orson, Mork recalls how celebrities can be victims of their own fame. He then mentions several celebrities who have died during their height of popularity, lastly ending with John Lennon who died two months prior to this broadcast. The last segment with Orson then fades to black rather than the typical signing off that the show is accustomed to.
