Frankenstein Conquers The World
This episode is a lazy writers replay of the same exact plot and story that was done on the Andy Griffith Show. Writers back then rehashed their stories and used them on every show they became writers for. This same exact plot was used on Hogan's Heroes, Sanford and Son, The Munsters, McHales Navy and who knows what other shows
However, in the last scene of this episode when Gomer is walking past more movie posters, shaking his head in disapproval of the misleading scenes on the posters and do not appear in the movie, he stands there for a few seconds looking at a poster that says Ken Conquers The World.
They intentionally blacked out the full, real title, which is Frankenstein Conquers The World. Maybe there's some copyright concern or maybe the Producers couldn't get permission to use the real title? The movies stars American idol Nick Adams.
Since Gomer Pyle U. S. M. C was in Association with The Andy Griffith Show Production, that could the the reason they paused so long on the Frankenstein Conquers The World poster , considering Andy Griffith himself worked with Nick Adams in the movie version of No Time for Sargents, in which Griffith is essentially playing the precursor of the Gomer Pyle character.
Also, nick Adams and Jim Nabors were both gay and were friends. Trivia, trivia.
