As Brass is watching the money drop at the golf range, there is a close-up shot of him, and you can see Nick sitting next to him in the car. In the very next shot, Nick opens the car door and gets in.
The scenes involving the discovery of the kidnap victim contain at least two errors. A Forward Looking Infra Red (FLIR) pod as was shown on the helicopter does not require a searchlight as was shown under the helicopter. Additionally, knowing they would potentially be rescuing a buried victim, neither he nor Sara had any digging instruments such as a shovel.
Sara's theory of the victim's sleeve being unable to contact the seat cover is faulty since her body with wrists bound could have turned in the seat causing her sleeve to contact the seat cover.
The kidnap suspect is shown being arrested immediately after the victim is being unearthed. As he is leaving being questioned by Brass, he mentions to Grissom that he saw him in the desert digging her up. Since he was in custody the entire time, he could not have seen Grissom. Additionally, there were no TV cameras present when the victim was located. Grissom for all of his attention to detail when people are talking (he lectures Nick about this later) fails to mention this to Brass.
