Great physics, decent graphics and addictive gameplay put this game at the top of the list when it comes to enjoyability and replay value.
As usual, the create-a-character feature is second to none, allowing an overly-patient gamer to tweak and build until the final result is almost frighteningly realistic.
Being someone who generally can't stand real golf, I was surprised to find how much I actually enjoy this game. Nothing better at the end of a hard day than coming home and taking my digital alter ego out on the links.
I do have a few small complaints...
The lack of 2005's "Tiger Vision" does take a little getting used to, as does the inability to upgrade your character's stats by purchasing them at the pro shop.
These are replaced however with a Gamebreaker, which almost always makes for an amusing miracle shot, and stats are now increased as an award for playing matches.
Overall, this is a must-have for the XBox, even for someone who knows diddly about golf.
