So I just did some research on Prague to see if there would be any events in the next seven days that would warrant this photo of Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Princess cosplayers frequenting a cafe. Aside from the Spring Warehouse Flea Market I couldn’t find one carnival, parade, gaming convention, anything. So that leads me to believe in one thing: Prague is awesome. Seriously, that’s the only conclusion I could come to. This photo was posted on Reddit today by a person taking a trip in Prague and this is the caption: “I’m visiting Prague and this has been

Deborah Cox is dishing to Et about stepping into Whitney Houston's shoes for the iconic role of Rachel Marron for the national tour of The Bodyguard.
"For me, it's about bringing this to a whole new generation," Cox, 42, says. "There are so many people that don't know of the movie and the music and her songs and that kind of thing, so this is an opportunity to do that."

Based on the 1992 blockbuster starring Houston and Kevin Costner, the stage musical follows closely to the original screenplay as singer-actress Rachel Marron hires former Secret Service agent Frank Farmer to protect her from an unknown stalker. Their relationship strays from the professional realm when they fall in love.
The production first premiered in London in 2012, but the upcoming national tour will be the first time the musical is performed in the U.S.

Daredevil Is Given The Finger
Truer words were never spoken; or put into a first-person narrative caption.
You may recall that attorney – I mean I hope my old columns are at least a little memorable – Matt Murdock, who is secretly the super hero Daredevil, was recently disbarred in New York state after circumstances forced Matt to reveal publicly that he was Daredevil. When New York realized the number of ethical infractions Matt had committed to keep his secret identity secret, it barred him from its bar. Matt then moved to San Francisco, because he was still a licensed attorney in California. Well, that was then. This is now.
Now, everyone has forgotten that Matt is Daredevil, Matt is back in New York City, and his license to practice law in New York State has been reinstated. Don’t ask how.
Seriously, do not ask how, because I literally do not know.

Did you spot the photo of Amy Poehler in Liz Lemon’s 30 Rock office? Or the Han Solo model in Firefly?
Surrounding your workspace with more clutter than a mid-noughties Myspace page is one way to assert individualism inside a bland corporate identity. It tells the world, ‘I’m not a number, I’m a free man! A free man overly fond of Pikachu!’ It can also be an act of mild rebellion, akin to leaving out the short and skinny bit of your school tie instead of the long, fat bit of your school tie that the man wants to see.
And then there’s sentimental desk décor, the talismans from loved ones from which you draw daily strength, reminding you why you shackled yourself to the capitalist cart horse in the first place. These are the photos, drawings and poorly made pottery items that prove you exist outside of work,...

Have you ever lain awake at night, wondering whether your favourite celebrities have posed with sea creatures? Well, wonder no more...
Every so often, a team of expensive social media consultants contacts us with some handy hints. Handy hints designed to engage audiences, raise profiles, provide watercooler conversations, and other such trendy phrases.
This week, the consultants - who work in a trendy office with proper air-conditioning and a cheese plant in the reception - told us that pictures of celebrities are big news right now. "You're an entertainment site," they said. "Do a post with celebrity pictures in it. Hollywood stars. TV's brightest. That kind of thing."
"It works for Buzzworthy and Upfeed," they added, as we slammed down the phone and rushed to our workstations.
So we've done a bit of hunting around, and here are the fruits of our labour: a post devoted to some of your favourite actors and TV stars.

It was Saturday afternoon, and I was late. Behind the wheel of my Mercury Milan, stuck in traffic with two friends in the backseat Driving Miss Daisy style, I tried my best to dodge and weave cars while heading over to pick up one last gal before driving south for an hour to have dinner. Not just anywhere, but a magical place I had never before been to, a place where the word “silverware” wasn’t invented yet and where most of the waiters had ponytails that rivaled my own in both silkiness and length. That’s right: We were going to Medieval Times. We were dressed up! Real dressed. (For Medieval Times standards, where, judging by the garb of the other diners, told me that medieval folk wore a lot of denim shorts and pool shoes.) And I had the drive all planned out: A little Sirius Satellite Radio...

In honor of Whitney Houston, who died Saturday at the very young age of 48, members of the HuffPost Lifestyle staff have started compiling our memories of the incredibly talented singer and actress. Here are some of our thoughts -- we hope you'll add your own memories in the comments.
From Lisa Belkin, HuffPost Senior Columnist on Life/Work/Family:
"If my life had an anthem, it would be "One Moment In Time," which Whitney sang at the opening of the Olympic games in 1988. I know that now, because I just looked it up. But the first time I heard it I was newly wed, in a new job, living in a new place and all I knew was that this song captured the simultaneous dread and exhilaration that comes with everything new. Whitney's best known songs are love songs, but this one is an exclamation point about life, work, creativity and craft.

R.I.P. Whitney Houston Updated: Whitney Houston’s shocking death just 24 hours before the music industry’s biggest event, the annual Grammy Awards, sent CBS, the Recording Academy and the show’s producers scrambling to put together a fitting tribute to one of the music industry’s biggest stars. Jennifer Hudson, who like Houston came from gospel roots to enjoy a flourishing career as both a singer and actress, will perform a Houston tribute at the Grammys tomorrow night, the show’s executive producer Ken Erlich just announced. It will no doubt be a memorable moment in Grammy Awards history, just like six-time Grammy winner Houston’s performance of One Moment In Time at the 1989 show. (Watch it below). And a very highly rated Grammy Awards for CBS. Erlich said that they were in the middle of rehearsal for tomorrow’s show when the news of Houston’s death broke.

According to the Associated Press, Houston was pronounced dead on Saturday afternoon in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. The cause of death as of Saturday evening was unknown, while police told the AP they had found “no obvious signs of any criminal intent.”
Houston was due to appear at mentor Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammys party and concert on Saturday night at the Hilton, and perhaps even perform. “It’s her favorite night of the year,” Davis told the AP. The event is still being held,...

This just in: At 23 years of age, Whitney Houston’s mawkish 1988 ballad “One Moment in Time” has apparently reclaimed its power as an un-ironic, soul-stirring anthem that can accompany small-screen images of joy, triumph, and the overcoming of obstacles. How else to explain the melismatic octave changes and lyrics about “racing with destiny” that accompanied The X Factor‘s announcement of the Top 8 contestants in the “geriatric” quarter of its search for America’s next great singing sensation?
All of this, of course, is just a long-winded way of saying that as the octet of octogenarians (okay, that burrito slinger...

This week's news in the arts
If history tells us anything it is, first, that art about sport is usually a bad idea, and secondly, that artists never learn this. The Olympic Games have always been a tempting subject. Big jumps, taut thighs, twanging javelins: few artists can behold these marvels without feeling the urge to inadequately recreate them.
The Theban poet Pindar and his rival Bacchylides , who both wrote victory odes in the fifth century Bce, were surely not the first to get sucked in. As Pindar gushes in a poem for the Isthmian games: "To a poet's mind the gift is slight, to speak/ A kind word for unnumbered toils, and build/ For all to share a monument of beauty."
No doubt these words were pinned to Jilly Cooper 's study wall while she composed her steam'n'stirrups epic Riders. Cooper's novel takes equal joy in the physical accomplishments of its heroes,...

Plus, talking with Louis Van Amstel, Jake's fear of ostriches, Daytime Emmys are a bust, Sofia Vergara's little friend, and finally someone asks if Mma isn't just a little gay!
Spurf™ asks a valid question: Since we’ve met Sue Sylvester’s sister, she needs parents. Who could possibly play her parents? I’m thinking Ed Asner as her dad, but all of my first choices for mom have passed away, like Bea Arthur or Dixie Carter. Ideas?
Glee’s Ryan Murphy has written a doozie of letter demanding a boycott of Newsweek over the horribly self-hating articles by Ramin Setoodeh. Which makes sense, since an editor somewhere agreed to publish the trash. It’s one thing for Setoodeh to basically admit that he can’t write if we don’t understand what he meant, but when my articles don’t make sense, Michael doesn’t publish them.

Lens, the Nyt's photojournalism blog, recently published the interactive efforts of the "A Moment in Time" project. In their words:
Earth, covered by stacks of thousands of virtual photographs, corresponding in location to where they were taken by Lens readers at one "Moment in Time" (15:00 Utc, Sunday, May 2).
Please select the category of picture you'd like to view from the pull-down menu in the upper left corner. Spin the globe to get where you want to go, then click on a stack to open the photos.
Make no plans for the rest of the day.
It's an absolutely mesmerizing and fantastically time-wasting project. The globe, which responds much like (albeit not quite as smoothly as) Google Earth, can be spun to see the photos taken in different parts of the world. It even works in real time to show the time of day--as I write this, the sun is setting in Central Asia.

Joe Quesada has explained Marvel's mysterious 'O.M.I.T.' teasers. Speaking at the Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo, the editor-in-chief revealed that the acronym stands for 'One Moment in Time'. The story will run from Amazing Spider-Man #637 to the oversized #640 and will show the events that occurred on the day that would have been Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson's wedding, which was erased from continuity in the controversial 'One More Day' storyline. The pair were originally married in 1987's Amazing Spider-Man Annual #21. "It starts with 'One More Day', and then we go into current continuity," Quesada told Cbr. "And (more)...

New York, April 15- Whitney Houston’s recent concert in the U.K has strengthened rumours that she may be using drugs.
The singer gave a rather ordinary performance at the LG Arena in Birmingham.
In fact, the show was so below par that fans, who had paid more than 200 pounds for a ticket, demanded refund.
Houston apparently disappeared for a 20-minute break during the show.
The backup singers sang ‘Queen of the Night’ and ‘For the Love of You,’ while ‘One Moment in Time’ was shown in.

When I was growing up, artists banded together on original charity singles that had the illusion of being written specifically for whichever cause they were rallying behind. Bob Geldof and Midge Ure penned "Do They Know It's Christmas?" after a learning of the widespread famine in Ethiopia. Michael Jackson and Lionel Ritchie were enlisted to write "We Are the World" for famine relief, too. Even the '90s yielded an original star-studded pep talk for troops headed into Operation Desert Storm ("Voices That Care"). Not to mention "Tears Are Not Enough," "Hands Across America," "Sun City," and "We're Stars." It seems MTV could devote an entire day to playing these charity videos from yesteryear and not have to repeat any.
The emergence of various high-profile Haiti relief songs shows us that the era of the "original" charity single is long gone. It appears celebrities are only willing to sign on...

Lucie Jones has become the fifth act to be voted off The X Factor. Jones found herself in the bottom two alongside John & Edward after the public vote. Both acts then had to perform a song of their choice to win the judges' votes. Jones was first to perform, and chose to sing 'One Moment In Time'. John & Edward followed with a rendition of the Robbie Williams song 'Rock DJ', which they performed on the first live show. The judges then had to decide who to save. Louis Walsh was first to vote, and chose to save his own act John & Edward. Meanwhile, Dannii Minogue decided to save Jones, who she mentors. Cheryl Cole was next to choose and said she had grown to love the twins, but decided to keep Jones in the competition. Simon Cowell was last to vote. "Tricky one," he said. "I'm not...
