"Tim Allen Rewires America" is a stand-up special from 1991, so this one is already almost 30 years old and you can find the name of the star in the title here. It is Tim Allen, known mostly for his television show Home Improvement, and this award-nominated half-hour is one of several comedy specials he made in his long career. Here he was in his late 30s, now he is in his mid-60s. Well, I must say I always found it a bit baffling how his approach to standup comedy is very masculine, very virile because honestly physically he never stroke me as the type of guy for this idea of comedy and it is also a bit heavier and less politically correct, which I actually liked. One example is when he calls his 18-month old daughter a b!tch. Oh well, not for everyone that much is safe. Still overall, I don't think it was as funny as I would have liked it to be. So I was kinda glad it was relatively short. Sure Allen gives iit his all, not just physically, but also verbally, but the material just did not do enough for me. By the way, the director is Ellen Brown, yep a woman, and she is mostly known for her long with Jay Leno that brought her a handful Emmy nominations. I guess people who saw this in Michigan live that night did enjoy it, but seeing this at home now so much time later I don't know. I give it a thumbs-down. Watch something else instead.
