Paul Walker enjoyed a lengthy career in Hollywood that carried him through various roles in several unique movies before his unfortunate death in 2013 at just 40 years old. Fans likely remember him best as Brian O'Conner in the "Fast and Furious" franchise, but the talented and handsome actor also appeared in critical hits such as "Pleasantville," "Joy Ride," and Clint Eastwood's "Flags of Our Fathers," and served as executive producer on the films "Vehicle 19," "Hours," and "Pawn Shop Chronicles." He even enjoyed a guest spot on National Geographic's "Expedition Great White" in 2009.
In his youth, Walker popped up in a variety of high-profile TV shows, among them "Highway to Heaven," "Charles in Charge," "Who's the Boss," and "Touched by an Angel," before making the leap to schlocky B-movie horror films such as "Tammy and the Rex," opposite Denise Richards, in which his character's brain somehow lands inside a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

“Monster in the Closet” (1986)
One of Walker’s earliest roles was the 1986 horror flick “Monster in the Closet.” He played young “Professor” Bennett, the son of a college professor who teams up with another teacher and a local reporter to uncover the motive behind several murders.
“Tammy and the T-Rex” (1994)
Walker got prehistoric in “Tammy and the T-Rex,” directed by Stewart Raffill — he plays a boy named Michael whose brain is implanted into the body of a Tyrannosaurus and wreaks havoc on the town in search of his sweetheart, Tammy.
“Meet the Deedles” (1998)
Surf’s up, dude! Walker gave life to Phil Deedle, a surfer turned park ranger alongside Steve Van Wormer, who plays his brother, Stew Deedle. The film is a lighthearted one, complete with an ample helping of flatulence jokes.

(Welcome to Out of the Disney Vault, where we explore the unsung gems and forgotten disasters currently streaming on Disney+.) The goofball subgenre of comedy, where the protagonist is the dumbest person alive and somehow becomes the center of a plot much bigger than them, was all the rage in the late ’80s and early ’90s. Late last week, two surfer bros — one apparently named Chad Kroeger (yup, same as the lead singer of Nickelback) and the other apparently named Bodhi — addressed the San Clemente, California city council and requested a 12-foot-tall statue of Fast & Furious star Paul Walker be erected on the city's pier. I'll pause for a second to let you soak in all of the glorious aspects of that sentence.
It's technically unclear whether this is a prank (I'm pretty sure it's a prank), but these Fast fans have actually made this same plea to a city council in Burbank, California as well, so it seems they won't stop until somehow, somewhere, a 12-foot statue of Paul Walker looks out over a city and unites us all in "gnarly times."
There's video at the bottom of the page, but if you don't feel like watching, LAist has transcribed it for us:

From Oscar-winning to Homeland and more, here's what the cast of My So-Called Life have been up to over the past 2 decades...
Twenty years has passed since we were first introduced to the characters of My So-Called Life, twenty years! Where has the time gone? And more importantly when did I get so old?
While most of you won’t really care too much what I’ve been up to since the show finished, let’s take a look at what the actors have been up to in the years since the cancellation of what is frankly the greatest teen TV drama ever.
Claire Danes (Angela Chase)
After breaking out in My So-Called Life, Danes focused on her film career first with a leading role in 1995’s Little Women and then supporting roles in smaller but interesting films like Home For The Holidays, How to Make An American Quilt and...

It can be such a beautiful happening when the natural forces of humanity and the wild kingdom can get together and establish a sense of harmony in motion pictures. Also, it can be a compelling yet regrettable conflict as well when man and beast decide to collide in the interest of big screen entertainment. Whatever the case may be certainly does not matter because the concept of beasts of all species (rather it be of the four-legged or two-legged variety) collectively clashing or cooperating sends a special message about triumph, tragedy and just plain tenderness.
In Beast of Burden: Top 10 Human-Animal Combinations in the Movies we will look at some of the best selections where man and animal co-exist whether it be in calmness or chaos. There is no doubt that one can come up with numerous top ten lists detailing their ideal man-animal themes in cinema. The struggle for...

In this week's column, we honor the late Paul Walker. I considered doing that movie where he was reincarnated as an animatronic dinosaur with Denise Richards, but decided to go with this one. Meet the Deedles (1998) Director: Steve Boyum Stars: Paul Walker, Steve Van Wormer, Dennis Hopper Two "surf bum" brothers from Hawaii mistakenly become rangers at Yellowstone National Park and must save famous geyser Old Faithful from being stolen by Dennis Hopper and...

Paul Walker made a name for himself far beyond the Fast and the Furious franchise. The actor -- who died tragically in a car collision on Saturday, Nov. 30 at the age of 40 -- leaves many memorable films behind. After conquering the small screen in appearances in Charles in Charge, Who's the Boss and The Young and the Restless in the early 90s, Walker would then get his feet wet on the big screen with the low budget 1998 surfer comedy Meet the Deedles. Over the next [...]...

According to Deadline Hollywood, Fox is looking to take another shot at the world of Hitman despite the relative weakness (box office and quality-wise) of the 2007 video game adaptation starring Timothy Olyphant. Since bad ideas hate rolling solo, the studio has decided to hire Paul Walker to shed his hair and star in the project they’re calling Agent 47. Plus, if this didn’t already sound like an ambitious step toward mediocrity, it comes from screenwriters Skip Woods and Michael Finch. Woods’ Good Day to Die Hard isn’t yet available for judgment (it hits next week), but he wrote the earlier Hitman as well as X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The A-Team. Finch’s sole credit is for Predators. The cherry on top of the coffin is that they’ve hired So there may be some interesting ideas here, but the decision to cast Walker is about as bad as my Photoshop job up there. There...

Flashback to 1998. Limp Bizkit is the biggest rap metal band on the planet, and Paul Walker is trying to shake off his reputation as “only being good in diaper commercials” with a big screen melee of force known as Meet the Deedles. Both men would go on to success in the 2000s, but only one would reinvent himself. That man was Fred Durst, who has so far surprised a lot of critics with his directorial work (which is far more nuanced than his George Michael covers). Now, the two are getting together for what one producer is calling “a hillbilly Pulp Fiction. The movie is Pawn Shop Chronicles. The Hollywood Reporter describes the movie as “the interconnected stories center on a missing wedding ring which leads to a wild-goose chase involving meth addicts, skinheads and an Elvis impersonator.” The Walking Dead star Adam Minarovich wrote the script, and production will most likely get started in just a...

Dennis Hopper, who personified Hollywood rebellion, both on screen and off, died Saturday at his home in Venice, Ca. after a long battle with prostate cancer. He was 74.
Having made his big screen debut in 1955's iconic "Rebel Without a Cause," opposite his friend James Dean, Hopper biked to fame as director/co-writer and finger-flashing cyclist, along with Peter Fonda and Jack Nicholson, in 1969's "Easy Rider." That movie, which was embraced by the burgeoning youth culture, signaled a generational change in Hollywood and also earned Hopper a best original screenplay Oscar nomination, which he shared with Hopper and Terry Southern.
He was also nominated for an Oscar for his performance as an alcoholic high school basketball coach in 1986's "Hoosiers."
Hopper, like many of the characters he played early in his career, was known for his sometimes anarchic off-screen moves and drug use in the first half of his life.
