Sex & Nudity

- Almost every episode showed women in bikinis. The pilot (Brother's Keeper) showed an erotic dance scene of a woman in a revealing costume.
- The episode "Little Miss Dangerous" features a lengthy strip club scene before the opening credits. Bondage and whips are shown throughout.
- A lot of episodes often dealt with prostitution. Nothing shown during those episodes. No sex or nudity shown.
- In the episode with Melanie Griffith, she is a hooker and there is a sex scene with shots of her and Johnson no nudity shown.
Violence & Gore

- In nearly every episode, there were plenty of shootouts. Characters were shot and killed. Not graphic. In Season 5 there was a shootout in a deli that showed blood and innocent people shown on the floor dead from gunshot wounds. A main character is shot in Season 3. Shown on a stretcher and flown to hospital. Not graphic. At least one character is shot or killed in every episode.
Profanity

- Damn and Hell are used regularly throughout the show. Bastard is used occasionally. Bitch is used sporadically throughout the fifth season. Multiple religious profanities used throughout seasons 3-5 using only the name of God being used (goddamn is never used)
- Infrequent uses of "damn", hell" and "bastard" are said.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Drugs and alcohol are shown and consumed consistently throughout the show.
- The show did feature scenes that involved wine. A couple of episodes did involve beer. Very mild was shown.
- Crockett smokes heavily in Season 1 and 2, but halfway through Season 2 he has given up the habit and never seen smoking again.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- One of the main characters is shot during a shootout. Is placed in a life or death situation. May frighten the smallest of children. Multiple characters are shown dead from gunshot wounds. Not presented in a graphic way.
