Ajay Devgn’s Shaitaan Fails To Beat Drishyam 2 At The Box Office. (Photo Credit – IMDb/Youtube)
Ajay Devgn’s Shaitaan has finished its first week run at the box office and collected 81.68 crore at the box office. While the horror film was expecting a single-digit opening of 8 – 9 crore, it registered a surprising two-digit opening, creating a positive environment for the film to perform at the box office.
Shaitaan started on a very strong and similar note to Ajay‘s previous successful film, Drishyam 2, and since the film performed along the same lines overseas as well, it was expected to trend in the same manner.
Drishyam 2 was released in the year 2022 and became a super hit. It collected 241 crore in its lifetime, and Shaitaan was expected to cross the 100 crore mark in week one. Here is the day-to-day tally of the horror flick with Ajay Devgn‘s previous superhit co-starring Tabu.

The pre-production on the third installment of the horror-comedy franchise ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ is underway. It was reported that the acclaimed actress Tabu has walked out of the film. However, there’s little truth to this as the only name to be finalised on the cast list is that of Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan.
‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, which released in 2022, was a major commercial success. The film was directed by Anees Bazmee and was a sequel to Akshay Kumar’s 2007 film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’.
Kartik essayed the role of Rooh Baba in the film sequel which saw Tabu in dual roles.
Well placed source shared that other talents will be locked only after the script is finalised.
The source said, “The only actor to be confirmed is Kartik Aryan as Rooh Baba and no other actors has been confirmed as of yet.”
It was also reported that Tabu wasn’t keen on...

Above: US one sheet for Gas. Art by Robert Grossman. How much attention do you pay to title treatments? By that I mean—in case it’s not obvious—the way the title of a film appears on a poster. Title treatments can range from the simple to the spectacular, from mere type to elaborate works of art. They can range from, for example, the unadorned but authoritative Gotham Bold sans serif of Oppenheimer (2023) to Robert Grossman’s air brushed petrol hose spelling out the title of the movie Gas. Whereas the title treatment of Oppenheimer was dwarfed by the radioactive image of J. Robert and his atom bomb, the title treatment for the other cinematic sensation of the summer dwarfed its characters. In fact it was just the first letter of that title treatment, the instantly recognizable iconic B of Mattel’s ’80s Barbie logo.Title treatments matter. They set a tone.
