Steve Irwin was loved by many for his conservation efforts, his love for animals, and the love he had for his family. Recently, his daughter, Bindi Irwin, revealed the surprising thing she would tell her dad if he were still around.
Steve Irwin Still Loved By People All Over The World
Steve Irwin garnered millions of fans around the world, as he became known as The Crocodile Hunter. Besides wrestling Crocs, putting himself in dangerous situations without fear, and winning audiences over with his sense of humor and authenticity, he was also a proud family man.
Tragically, Steve Irwin lost his life in 2006. He was killed by a stingray while filming in the Great Barrier Reef. The stingray’s barb pierced his chest, and he lost his life out in the field, surrounded by nature, and the very animals he loved being around and educating millions about.

Edward Norton is quite vocal about his admiration for veteran filmmaker Spike Lee. The actor could not understand why a lot of people sleep on his talent, but the Red Dragon star would not let unfair criticism taint the director’s reputation.

They worked together on the 2002 drama film 25th Hour, but even before that, he was already following the works of Lee.
Edward Norton Defends Spike Lee As A Filmmaker
During his interview via Gainsville Sun, actor Edward Norton confessed he’s a die-hard Spike Lee fan. He also thinks the filmmaker’s projects are underappreciated.
I wrote him a letter after He Got Game. I really loved that movie, and I thought people missed it. It had a lot of texture and layers. There is a lot of room for the actor and the audience in Spike Lee movies.

Alien didn’t just spring fully formed out of the heads of director Ridley Scott and writers Dan O’Bannon, Ronald Shusett, Walter Hill, and David Giler. Its combination of “monster on the loose” and “haunted house in space” scenario was perhaps the ultimate distillation of a long line of sci-fi and horror pictures that had come before it, from quick B-movie cheapies to some of the genre’s most elegant offerings. What Alien did under the visionary hand of its director, however, was meld all those influences together in a way that transcended the schlockier elements of the film’s influences and elevated the more artistic and meaningful ones. The result wasn’t just a monster movie, but a psychosexual nightmare with Lovecraftian overtones and a sense of existential dread.

Committed to long-interconnected franchises can sometimes be a chore for the viewers, especially when something is as big as the MCU. It also doesn’t help when newcomers are required to know about the entries that came before to enjoy a new show or movie. One major example is Madness of Multiverse, as fans, who weren’t familiar with the Wanda Vision beforehand, had a hard time piecing it all together in the sequel to 2016’s Doctor Strange.
But Star Wars did combat this issue with Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka, as the showrunners succeeded in making it more accessible to fans, who had no knowledge about her history.

After seemingly endless rumours, Marvel Studios finally announced The Fantastic Four cast earlier this year. Each of them had been linked to the reboot at one time or another, so there were no major surprises for those who had been closely following the casting process.
Oppenheimer star David Krumholtz has confirmed he tried and failed to play the McU's Thing, and now Midnight Mass star Rahul Kohli has revealed that he missed out on being cast as Mister Fantastic.
He was long a fan favourite choice for Reed Richards and, in the video below, admits to being beaten to the part by The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal.
"Yeah, I don't know if I'm allowed to talk about it but I didn't get it, is the important thing," Kohli explains. "But on good days, I see the Constantine [fan casting]. It will flare up once and again. And, I love all of them.

Matt Damon made his Hollywood debut in 1997, as Will Hunting in the Oscar-winning movie Good Will Hunting. Since then, he has made appearances in many other movies, including the hit action franchise, Bourne. After five movies, one of which Damon missed out on, the series took a break. But now, it looks like things are back in gear.

According to Matt Damon, director Edward Berger of All Quiet on the Western Front has an idea for the next instalment of the Bourne franchise after fans thought we had come to an end with Jason Bourne in 2016. But given Damon is currently 53 years old, it would be quite the task for the actor to reprise the role of the spy. And we already know he is not doing at least one thing in the move if it ever happens.

Johnny Depp has acted and aced the many roles he has essayed throughout his career. But Captain Jack Sparrow will remain beloved by his and his fans for the way he molded and shaped it from the ground up. Thus, kickstarting the entire Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, the actor is as much to be credited as the writers and crew for the success of the movies.

Yet, after his legal battle with Amber Heard and Disney turning back on him, the actor seems to be done with Hollywood. And producer Jerry Bruckheimer revealed that as much as he would love to have him back, Disney is planning to make two movies with one of them being helmed by Margot Robbie.

Steven Spielberg is one of the most refined filmmakers in the entire entertainment industry, gifting viewers with true cinematic gems. Besides helming the masterpieces Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park franchises, he is also credited with directing 2002’s widely critically commended Catch Me If You Can, which is quite literally regarded as one of the best movies he has ever created.

But while the crime-comedy is already perfect just the way it is, there’s a backstory to it too; one that makes the movie tenfold more interesting than it already is. What’s even more surprising is that this story involves the Oscar winner committing the same crime as in the movie while growing up, and this story would be more than enough to make you look at the film differently than ever before.

I can't say if I fell in love with "Star Trek," or if it fell in love with me.
Like many Trekkies, I came to "Star Trek" at an early age. Throughout the 1980s, reruns of the original series would air on my local station, and they would serve as a periodic video backdrop to our dinnertimes. As a child, "Star Trek" was merely an action-light, horror-heavy sci-fi adventure series, and my older sister and I would gleefully yell out when Spock (Leonard Nimoy) performed his notorious Vulcan nerve pinch, or when Captain Kirk (William Shatner) got to snog an itinerant babe. We would hide our heads from the monster of the week; like many, I was terrified by the scowling face of Balok, the Ted Cassidy-voiced puppet alien from "The Corbomite Maneuver".
Perhaps unusually for a child, I wasn't powerfully drawn to action, fights, or explosions in my entertainment.

It's hard to picture two directors as different as James Cameron and John Carpenter. They've worked in similar genres (sci-fi and horror), but their attitudes lie on opposite poles. Cameron, who's famously an intense director, is still in the game and always innovating to make his "Avatar" movies exactly the way he wants to.
Carpenter, meanwhile, is in his "doesn't give an f" era. He's retired (his last film was 2010's "The Ward") because he'd rather play video games and collect royalties. And who can blame him? The man changed the horror game while dropping masterpiece after masterpiece in the '80s (see our list of the best John Carpenter movies here). He's earned time to enjoy the leisurely fruits of his success.
Would you believe that Cameron and Carpenter have worked together before? In 1981, while Cameron was a special effects grunt at New World Pictures (founded by B-movie king...

Recently, Helldivers 2 has had a lot of ups and downs, as it took a major hit from a recent announcement, causing players in 177 countries (now 180) to lose access to their game. However, this situation led to one of the biggest works of collaboration the gaming community has seen.
The situation in question was related to Sony forcing players to link their PC accounts to a Psn account, something that many gamers can’t physically do. After the changes made by Arrowhead and Sony were retracted, a fan designed a cape to commemorate the situation. Now, thanks to Johan Pilestedt, we know it may be real and coming soon.

Word of a remake of John Carpenter's 1986 bonkers action flick "Big Trouble in Little China" came out as early as 2015. The remake was set to star Dwayne Johnson, presumably playing Jack Burton, the character previously played by Kurt Russell. Johnson reportedly wanted John Carpenter to be involved in the remake, but the director was never officially invited to anything. "I only know what I read in the papers," he said. Carpenter has been famously indifferent to other filmmakers remaking his movies, once saying that he loves it when it happens, as he gets paid for not having to do anything. Three years later, in 2018, it was announced that the new "Big Trouble" would be a sequel and not a remake, but such definitions have become hazy in a nostalgia-driven marketplace. The film's producer, Hiram Garcia, referred to the new film as a "continuation," rather than a sequel. Po-tay-to, po-tah-to.

"The Thing" is often regarded as one of John Carpenter's best movies. A chilly, gory nightmare, Carpenter's film is based on both the John W. Campbell Jr. novella "Who Goes There?" and its 1951 film adaptation "The Thing from Another World." Using jaw-dropping, stomach-churning make-up and creature effects courtesy of Rob Bottin, Carpenter's "The Thing" follows a group of men secluded at a research center in Antarctica. When an alien lifeform that can look like anyone suddenly ends up in their midst, trust becomes a serious issue. Anyone can be The Thing, after all — and that means anyone who is still human is in serious trouble. Carpenter brings his usual deft skill to the material, crafting a scary, memorable monster movie that has stood the test of time and gone on to become a classic (even though it originally flopped at the box office).
But as it turns out, Carpenter...

John Carpenter wasn’t that impressed with Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer.”
The “Thing” director called Nolan’s Best Picture-winning historical drama just “Ok” in an interview for journalist Larry Fitzmaurice’s “Last Donut of the Night” newsletter.
“‘Oppenheimer’ was Ok. It was alright,” Carpenter said. “Everyone’s praising it as the movie of the century — I don’t know about that.”
But is Carpenter a fan of Nolan’s films in general?
“Yeah, I guess, sure,” he added.
The director instead pivoted and pointed to another 2024 Academy Award contender, saying, “I don’t want to talk about things that I haven’t enjoyed. I liked ‘Maestro’ a great deal. I thought that was terrific.”
And it turns out that Carpenter wasn’t crazy about the “Barbenheimer” craze as a whole. The filmmaker told the “Last Donut of the Night” newsletter his thoughts on “Barbie,” simply stating, “Did I like it?...

The The Thing (1982) episode of Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie? was Written by Cody Hamman, Edited by Joseph Wilson, Narrated by Jason Hewlett, Produced by Lance Vlcek and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
John Carpenter’s The Thing (watch or buy it Here) didn’t go over well at all when it was released in 1982. Ignored by movie-goers, it was a box office failure. Reviled by critics, it even saw Carpenter being labelled a pornographer of violence by some reviewers. It was such a disappointment for the studio, they took another project away from Carpenter as punishment. But it gradually found its audience, building up a cult following. And soon, a legion of fans and critics alike began calling it one of the greatest horror movies ever made. It didn’t take long for The Thing to go from being known as reprehensible trash to being considered an all-time classic.

When it comes to crime or police dramas, there’s no doubt that Brits know how to create one. As the fans of the genre say all the time, there’s no way that any of the British series within the police premise will be rated less than a solid 8.
However, it seems that with this series the level of production just went a little higher. The cop drama we are talking about is called Blue Lights. The show premiered last year and since then it seems that the audience became obsessed with it.
What Is Blue Lights About?
The show focuses on the police force in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and is a perfect portrayal of how difficult it is to handle the job in the area. It's especially hard for rookies, the main characters of the series. There are three of them: Grace Ellis, Annie Conlon and Tommy Foster.

In the movie Dream Scenario, starring Nicholas Cage, a biology professor named Paul Matthews starts appearing in the nightmares of random people all over the country.
None of these people understand why, nor do they know anything about Paul beyond recognizing his unusual face -- which gives them flashbacks of the terrible dream.
Paul himself is perplexed because he has not intentionally done anything to these people, nor is he a Freddy Krueger-type monster who controls a higher plane of existence.
But when Paul becomes infamous for his cameo appearances in peoples' dreams, he begins to see scorn, fear, hatred, and eventually violence coming from people who hold him personally responsible for their nightmares.
As I finished Dream Scenario, I realized this is what some right-leaning celebrities must feel like.

While underrated upon its release, as John Carpenter’s The Thing failed to make it big commercially following its competition with other sci-fi releases at the time, time has been kind to it. Not only has the sci-fi horror gone on to garner cult status, but many have also deemed it among one of the greatest films the genre has to offer, even deeming it more important than Carpenter’s Halloween.
And the film’s influence is significantly visible in InnerSloth LLC’s Among Us. Hence, it only makes sense for the upcoming adaptation of the game to take further inspiration from the horror, and following its synopsis, it seems like the case.

The highest grossing director of all time, Steven Spielberg enjoys high-brow classics as much as crowd-pleasing blockbusters. Known for “Jurassic Park,” “Indiana Jones,” “Jaws,” “West Side Story” (2021), and more favorites, the beloved American filmmaker premiered his semi-autobiographical “The Fabelmans” in theaters last November.
The movie, nominated for seven Oscars (winning none), tells the story of how Spielberg came to be Spielberg — chiefly through the lens of his parents’ traumatic divorce. Boasting a cast that includes not just Michelle Williams and Paul Dano as Spielberg’s mom and dad, but also David Lynch in a rare acting opportunity, “The Fabelmans” was described by IndieWire’s David Ehrlich as an epic rendering of “the breakup that launched a million blockbusters.”

June 1982 saw the release of not one, but two movies about aliens bonding with humans. Both of them are remembered today as early masterpieces that confirm their directors’ skill and vision. One, of course, is Steven Spielberg‘s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, which released on June 11, 1982. Two weeks later came The Thing, directed by John Carpenter. But in 1982, only E.T. earned praise.
“In fact the film was an enormous failure,” Carpenter recently told The Guardian in his typically blunt manner in a feature that published Tuesday morning. But then that’s about as nostalgic as Carpenter often sounds, even while discussing his first studio picture which remade one of his favorite movies: 1951’s The Thing From Another World.

Shogun, the new show from FX, has already become one of the biggest hits of the year, and the first season is yet to conclude. The premiere ratcheted up over 9 million views, and its popularity is only going up. With Hiroyuki Sanada playing one of the key characters on the show, Disney has hit the jackpot.
As the audience is taken on a journey that sees three plots eventually converge, it has been hailed as the new Game of Thrones. There is a good reason for the comparison too, since it boasts of a rich world filled with political intrigue and thrill with a smattering of gore.

Patty Jenkins, who directed the two Wonder Woman movies in the Dceu, reveals one disappointing update for the fans who were thinking about the third installment in the film series. Meanwhile, she has confirmed that she’s back to working on Rogue Squadron now.
Gal Gadot in and as Wonder Woman
Patty Jenkins’ 2017 film starring Gal Gadot as the DC superhero Wonder Woman was a box office hit, prompting a sequel, which was released in 2020. However, the sequel could not perform as expected as the movie only managed to gross $166 million worldwide (per The Numbers) against a production budget of $200 million.

It’s not the near sweep that Oppenheimer had, but ABC certainly has something to celebrate out of last night’s Academy Awards.
With the final numbers in, 19.5M viewers tuned in to watch the 2024 Oscars, according to Nielsen data. That’s a 4% win over the 18.8 million who tuned in for the 95th annual Academy Awards in 2023, propelling the show to a 4-year audience high.
The telecast also was at a 3.8 demo rating, compared with last year’s 4.0 — down, but not by much.
Perhaps it was naked John Cena or Ryan Gosling’s energizing performance of Barbie‘s “I’m Just Ken” that pushed the audience over the edge.

The 96th Academy Awards ceremony should be known as the Cannes Oscars, argues Cannes Film Festival director Thierry Frémaux.
He’s got a point.
Frémaux sipped a cocktail at the Charles Finch and Chanel Annual Pre-Oscar Dinner in the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and ticked off Justine Triet’s Anatomy of a Fall and Jonathan Glazer’s The Zone of Interest as films that played and won the top prizes at last May’s festival.
Michael Barker, Sony Picture Classics co-chair, helped Frémaux out by adding in Martin Scorsese’s The Killers of the Flower Moon, which also premiered on the Croisette.
“Here we are in March, and the top winners at last year’s Cannes are still in the conversation, and are here at the Oscars,” says Frémaux, giving himself a pat on the back.

On a recent podcast, filmmaker Steven Soderbergh pivoted the conversation to Alfred Hitchcock’s work, examining why, decades later, the auteur’s grip on audiences remains so tight. “[The reason] we still watch Hitchcock movies, and that they don’t feel as dated as some other films, is that they’re all about guilt,” Soderbergh posited. “Every Hitchcock movie is about guilt — and guilt’s not going anywhere.” If what Soderbergh says is true, then why is guilt so evergreen?

The 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards went largely according to script Saturday night on Netflix, but with just enough surprises to keep things interesting. (See the SAG winners list.) Here are five key takeaways from this year’s ceremony.
1. Subtle performances dominate film categories.
While we’ve seen quieter portrayals have greater success at the Oscars in recent years, the guild has generally still gone with flashier performances. This year, Lily Gladstone in “Killers of the Flower Moon,” Cillian Murphy in “Oppenheimer” and Da’Vine Joy Randolph in “The Holdovers” managed to land SAG trophies for their relatively subdued acting — especially in comparison to some of their show-stopping rivals. Perhaps guild members are following the lead of the academy and realizing that less is sometimes more when it comes to fine dramatics.

Denis Villeneuve’s Dune Part 2 is fast approaching, and fans certainly cannot wait to see the continuation of the Frank Herbert novel’s big-screen adaptation. Some of the most notable features of the movie are the settings, costumes, and star-studded cast, which many would believe too expensive to make.
Dune (2021)
It’s actually more cost-effective than Marvel Studios’ The Marvels. Fans would remember how the infamous box-office bomb starring Brie Larson gave an underwhelming performance despite its lucrative marketing.
SUGGESTEDThe 1 Thing Jason Momoa Was Ready to Do for Denis Villeneuve Every Morning to Thank Him for Dune Dune Part 2 Budget And Potential Box Office Success
According to Variety, Timothée Chalamet’s Dune Part 2 reportedly cost $190 million. The hype around the movie is already gaining momentum so it’s not impossible if it performs well, if not better, just like its predecessor. Dune (2021) grossed over $402 million against a budget of $165 million.

Twice a month Joe Lipsett will dissect a new Amityville Horror film to explore how the “franchise” has evolved in increasingly ludicrous directions. This is “The Amityville IP.”
The law of horror movie franchises is that eventually, without fail, you go to space.
It’s fitting, then, that the final outing for prolific Amityville writer/director Mark Polonia takes the “franchise” into the furthest reaches of space in the year 3015.
It’s been a few entries since Polonia’s last outing. He’s the creative responsible for Amityville Island, Amityville Exorcism, and Amityville Death House. Of these, Island has some amusingly self-aware bits, Death House has a great spider walk finale, and…well, the less said about Exorcism the better.
Where does Amityville in Space fall? Alas, it skews closer to Exorcism than the others. Not helping matters is that this latest film shares a character – Father Benna (Jeff Kirkendall...
