- As students at the United States Navy's elite fighter weapons school compete to be best in the class, one daring young pilot learns a few things from a civilian instructor that are not taught in the classroom.
- The haunted Captain of a Soviet submarine holds the fate of the world in his hands. Forced to leave his family behind, he is charged with leading a covert mission cloaked in mystery.
- Russ Raymond, America's number one crooner, disappears and joins the Navy under the name Tommy Halstead. Dorothy Roberts, a magazine journalist, is intent on finding out what happened to Russ and she tries everything she can to get a picture of him to prove he's Russ Raymond. Tommy's friends, Pomeroy Watson and Smokey Adams,help him while Pomeroy writes love letters to Patty Andrews. But because Smokey makes Pomeroy lie about himself in the letters, and when Patty comes to the Navy base, she's furious at Pomeroy. When Pomeroy, Smokey, Tommy and the Andrews sisters set sail for Hawaii, Pomeroy discovers there's a tomato in the potato locker, and she's been snapping shots of Tommy the whole trip. Whether Pomeroy's proving that 7 x 13 = 28 - three different ways, having Smokey help him play ship captain for Patty, or falling out of his hammock, it's an Abbott and Costello classic.
- A Paramount Studios security guard who was a major actor during the silent film era must carry out the illusion that he is still a big deal when his sailor son comes to visit.
- Although allergic to kissing girls, Seaman Melvin Jones, through a fluke TV appearance, gets the undeserved reputation of a great kisser dubbed "Mr. Temptation" and is pursued by amorous young females.

Romo Vincent opens with the fast-paced "It's a Good Day", and the Dorothy Dorben Adorables dance to "Half-Moon in Three Quarter Time." Arthur Lee Simpkins croons "Valse Coguines" and "This Night, I'll Remember." Gizele MacKenzie sings "Wild Horses" and the Adorables return to dance to "Tropicana." The show finale has the Vincent group preforming "Anything For Texas."
- James Gleason drops by to visit Ralph Staub at the Columbia lot and Staub, as he was inclined to do, pulls out a few reels of World War II "Screen Snapshots", and he and Gleason reminisce about the footage, while the camera turns and, presto, yet another Screen Snapshots entry comprised of about 90% stock footage. This one shows movie-and-radio stars and names around Hollywood entertaining the troops at various California Army/Navy/Marine camps. Faces seen and voices heard (again) include Carole Landis, Groucho Marx and Jack Benny.
