Perhaps best remembered for his touching performance as "Bubba" opposite Tom Hanks in the Academy Award-winning Forrest Gump (1994), Mykelti Williamson is one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood, who has been steadily honing his craft since he first began acting professionally at the age of 18.
In 2000 Williamson starred as Lt. Philip Gerard, the hardnosed detective determined to recapture escaped convict Dr. Richard Kimble (Tim Daly) in CBS' update of the classic 1960's action series The Fugitive (2000).
The son of an Air Force Staff Sergeant (father) and certified public accountant (mother), Williamson was born in St. Louis, MO, and began performing on the stage at the age of 9. Like many youngsters, he was enamored with the concept of television, and thought that the images he was seeing on the small screen were reality. It wasn't until his mother put him in a church play that he realized that what the people on the small screen were doing was performing. He was instantly hooked. At the age of 15, Williamson and his family settled in Los Angeles. A superb athlete, he excelled at both football and basketball, but the acting bug led him to quit sports and dance with the cheerleading squad, much to the chagrin of his coaches.
Following graduation, Williamson began acting professionally, making appearances on television shows such as Starsky and Hutch (1975), Hill Street Blues (1981) and China Beach (1988), among others. He made his film debut in the Walter Hill-directed feature Streets of Fire (1984), opposite Diane Lane, Michael Paré and Willem Dafoe.
He would subsequently appear in the feature The First Power (1990) with Lou Diamond Phillips, Miracle Mile (1988) with Anthony Edwards and Mare Winningham, Number One with a Bullet (1987), Wildcats (1986) and Free Willy (1993).
Following his critically acclaimed performance in Forrest Gump (1994), Williamson starred in Forest Whitaker's Waiting to Exhale (1995); partnered with Al Pacino in Michael Mann's Heat (1995); Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home (1995), and starred alongside Nicolas Cage in Con Air (1997).
Williamson was also seen in Mike Nichols' political drama Primary Colors (1998) (a cameo appearance which he did as a personal favor to Nichols and John Travolta) and Three Kings (1999), opposite George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg and Ice Cube.
In 1996 Williamson returned to television when he starred opposite Delroy Lindo and Blair Underwood in the critically acclaimed HBO telefilm Soul of the Game (1996) and received rave reviews for his stirring portrayal of legendary Negro League baseball legend Josh Gibson. Williamson also starred in Buffalo Soldiers (1997) for TNT and 12 Angry Men (1997) for Showtime, as well as starring in the cable network's series The Hoop Life (1999).
On stage Williamson starred with Samuel L. Jackson, D.B. Sweeney, Ellis Williams, Matt McGrath and Richard Reilly in Clark Gregg's ("What Lies Beneath") 1995's ensemble drama "Distant Fires", which earned the cast a prestigious L.A. Theatre Award.
An avid sports fan and devoted family man, Williamson enjoys restoring classic cars and rodeoing in his free time. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two of his three daughters.
Named by his grandfather for 'Spirit' or 'Silent Friend' in the language of Blackfeet Indians, Mykelti Williamson has quietly built a reputation in Hollywood as one of the most consistently proven actors in the business, delivering stirring and honest performances that always capture audiences.- Actor

Best known for her roles as Ellie in Dwelling (2016), and her portrayal of Linda Kasabian in House of Manson (2014), Erin is no stranger to horror. She won Best Actress In A Drama at the Playhouse West Film Festival for her portrayal of an agoraphobic young woman, haunted by the memory of her fiancé's murder. After the first screening, and man approached Erin to compliment her on her performance, and explained that he was a recovering agoraphobic. Erin maintains this is the greatest compliment she has ever received.

Edwin August was born Edwin August Phillip von der Butz on the 20th of November, 1883, in St. Louis, Missouri. He made his first stage appearance in "Little Lord Fauntleroy" at the age of seven. After years of stage work, he made his first movies for the Biograph Company in New York City in 1908. There he appeared with Mary Pickford and was directed by D. W. Griffith. August came to the Lubin Company in the late summer of 1912 and was immediately cast opposite Ormi Hawley, with whom he made a series of films before leaving in December of that year. He worked for many of the early film companies, writing and directing as well as appearing in his own films. For a while he even had his own production company. A popular actor, he was voted the most handsome matinee idol in a fan magazine's national poll. In 1916, August announced that he was running for president, making his opposition to movie censorship his primary issue. No one took him seriously, of course. The notion of a movie actor becoming president was considered impossible. (NB: Ronald Reagan was five years old at the time.)
August successfully made the transition to sound films and continued to appear in movies until 1947. He can be seen as an extra in several famous films such as Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939) and The Magnificent Ambersons (1942). Despite his success, August lived alone and very modestly in a small bungalow in Hollywood. He never married and there is some evidence that he was probably gay. August died on March 4th, 1964, in Hollywood, and is buried in Valhalla Memorial Park.- Robert Baldwin was born on 7 January 1904 in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA. Instead of simply walking away from the white-dominated entertainment field, she decided to make a difference. Focusing on appreciation of African-American culture in Harlem, she became a strong, eloquent symbol for the city and it was she who founded Harlem's distinguished National Black Theater (NBT), running it tirelessly for four decades until her death at age 71.
The Illinois native, who was born in East St. Louis on June 18, 1937, to parents who both served as educators and school administrators, her father also served in city government. An extremely gifted child, Barbara graduated from high school at age 15. First attending Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina, she experienced a strong racial divide that would shape her later character. She transfered after her freshman year and received her bachelor of arts (graduating magna cum laude) in dance education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She then studied dance in Europe and at one point toured with Martha Graham. She moved to New York in 1959 and appeared in a number of stage productions there, making her Broadway debut as a dancer in 1961's "Kwamina" while also serving as dance captain to famed choreographer 'Agnes DeMille'. Injuries eventually forced her to rethink the direction of her career. She returned to Broadway five years later as part of the cast of the comedy "Where's Daddy?" An early, brief marriage to actor/comedian Godfrey Cambridge, who succumbed to a heart attack in 1976, ended in divorce.
Off-Broadway Barbara earned her share of notices along with other prominent and/or up-and-coming black talent. Productions included "Raisin' Hell in the Son" (1962) with Janet MacLachlan; "Home Movies" (1964), which earned her a Drama Desk Award; "Day of Absence" (1965) with Robert Hooks, Esther Rolle, Adolph Caesar, Frances Foster, Hattie Winston and Moses Gunn; and "Who's Got His Own" (1966) with Estelle Evans, Roger Robinson and Glynn Turman. But she grew restless and felt she wasn't expanding enough. During the 1960s she also began teaching at Harlem's Wadleigh Junior High School. It was her method of instruction that helped to develop the Group Theatre Workshop, which would become the foundation for the illustrious Negro Ensemble Company.
The couple of roles she received in film were prime examples of her discontent. Slaves (1969), helmed and produced by white executives, starred Stephen Boyd, Dionne Warwick and Ossie Davis was an Old South rehash deemed trashy and overwrought with caricature types with Boyd serving as a Simon Legree stand-in. In The Angel Levine (1970), she played a welfare woman. As far back as 1968, she wrote a fierce article in The New York Times encouraging a change. Wishing better for herself as a person and a performer, she sought an autonomous black artistic culture free from mainstream influence.
That same year (1968) Teer founded the National Black Theater, a non-profit institution dedicated to the performing arts, community advocacy and the appreciation of the history and lifestyle of Black Americans. The theater bought its own residence at 125th Street and Fifth Avenue with financing she arranged. As its executive director, she took on the daunting task of fund-raising in addition to her administrative duties. The theater held classes, workshops, symposiums and lectures, produced shows, and presented art exhibits. Creatively, she also wrote and directed for the theater's music, dance and theater troupe that subsequently toured in Bermuda, Guyana, Haiti, South Africa and Trinidad, and throughout the United States. Two of her plays, "Revival, A: Change! Love! Organize!" and "Soljourney into Truth," were first produced at NBT in 1972 and 1975, respectively. Both themes reflected black culture and the importance of self-love. On stage at NBT, the appeared in "Five on the Black Hand Side" (1969) along with Jonelle Allen, Theresa Merritt and Clarice Taylor.
Barbara's significance to Harlem's cultural renaissance was rewarded in later years. Dr. Barbara Ann Teer received an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Rochester, New York in 1994, and the following year a second honorary doctorate degree of humane letters from the University of Southern Illinois. She also was the 2001 recipient of the Otto Award for political theater. Listed in "Who's Who in America" and "Who's Who Worldwide," she received more than sixty awards and citations for her contributions.
Barbara died of natural causes in her beloved Harlem on July 21, 2008, at age 71. As tribute, she laid in state at the National Black Theatre. She is survived by her two children, Barbara and Michael Lipscott, and was interred back with her ancestors in her native East St. Louis. - Actor
