Born in Poland to accomplished thespian parents, Grazyna Dylag and Aleksander Mikolajczak, Izabella Miko could dance before she could walk. She began to pursue her dream career as a ballerina as soon as the opportunity was available to her at the age of 10. Izabella was accepted at the National Ballet School in Warsaw, though her teachers were concerned about what seemed to be some flexibility limitations of her body. At the age of 15, she was recruited to go to New York on full scholarship and study at the School of American Ballet. However, her body could no longer withstand the rigors of a seven-day a week ballet-training schedule, and in 1997 she suffered from a series of injuries to her vertebrae, knee and ankle injuries, ending her career as a ballet dancer.
She found herself 17 years old and wondering what career she would ever find that would fulfill her the same way dance did. While back in Warsaw and recovering, a casting director who was working with Izabella's parents asked if she would play a part in a TV movie, "Lithuania You're My Motherland". She accepted, not knowing where else to turn. Having been bitten by the acting bug, Miko was headed back to America shortly before her 18th birthday. She immediately began training at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and laying the groundwork for a successful career as an actor.
She went to Los Angeles just after she turned 18, and a series of fortuitous event resulted in her landing the role in Jerry Bruckheimer's Coyote Ugly (2000) playing "Cammie". This role put her on the map in Hollywood, leading to a slew of magazine covers and billboards. She followed "Coyote Ugly" with a leading role in J.S. Cardone's The Forsaken (2001) and Minimal Knowledge (2002). She has also appeared in The Shore (2006), starring alongside Lesley Ann Warren and Ben Gazzara. Miko than starred alongside actors Derek Jacobi and Michael Lonsdale in Bye Bye Blackbird (2005). Her portrayal of Alice, a circus trapeze artist in the early 1900s, was the perfect combination of Izabella's most innate talents. She prepared for this role with a rigorous three-month training schedule on both the flying and static trapeze. Utilizing her dance and trapeze skills, along with rapidly learned tightrope walking, she secured a part time role of Raia, a member of the "Circus of Crime" circus troop in the 2011 NBC series The Cape (2011).- Actor

A minor prototype of the "Runyon-esque" character for more than three decades, Polish-born actor George E. Stone (né Gerschon Lichtenstein, on May 18, 1903) was, in actuality, a close friend of writer Damon Runyan and would play scores of colorful "dees, dem and dos" cronies throughout the 1920s, '30s, and '40s. With great names such as Johnnie the Shiek, Boots Burnett, Ice Box Hamilton, Wires Kagel, Ropes McGonigle, Society Max, and Toothpick Charlie, Stone delighted audiences in scores of crimers for decades.
A vaudeville and Broadway hoofer in the interim, the runt-sized Stone (5'3") finally scored in his first "grownup" part as the Sewer Rat in the silent drama 7th Heaven (1927) starring the once-popular romantic pair Charles Farrell and (Academy Award winner) Janet Gaynor. As "Georgie" sounded too child-like, he began billing himself as "George E. Stone." From there he was featured in a number of "tough guy" potboilers, particularly for Warner Bros. So typed was he as a henchman or thug, that he found few films outside the genre. His gunsels often possessed a yellow streak and could be both broadly comic or threatening in nature, with more than a few of them ending up on a morgue slab before film's end, including his Earl Williams on The Front Page (1931) and Otero in the classic gangster flick Little Caesar (1931).
Included in George's many films were a number of Oscar-quality pictures , including The Racket (1928), Cimarron (1931), Five Star Final (1931), 42nd Street (1933), Viva Villa! (1934), Anthony Adverse (1936), North West Mounted Police (1940), Pickup on South Street (1953), The Robe (1953), Broken Lance (1954), The Man with the Golden Arm (1955), Guys and Dolls (1955), Some Came Running (1958), Some Like It Hot (1959), Pocketful of Miracles (1961). Arguably, Stone's most popular, if not prolific, role was when he replaced Charles Wagenheim as The Runt in the second of the "Boston Blackie" film series, Confessions of Boston Blackie (1941) that starred Chester Morris as the title detective. The series lasted eight years.
Suffering from failing eyesight in later years, George was virtually blind by the late 1950s but, thanks to friends, managed to secure sporadic film and TV work. From 1958 on, Stone could be glimpsed in a recurring role on the popular courtroom series Perry Mason (1957) as a court clerk. Married to second wife Marjorie Ramey in 1946, 64-year-old George died following a stroke on May 26, 1967 in Woodland Hills, California, and was survived by two sisters.- Actor

Piotr Fronczewski graduated from PWST (Public Upper School of Theatre) in Warsaw and made himself one of the most popular and skilled actors in Poland. Born in Lodz in 1946, he started very early in Teatr Narodowy where he worked as an extra for one season. His career didn't take off fast but he gained some experience. He moved to Teatr Wspolczesny in 1969 and worked in plays by Jean Cau and Carlo Gozzi to name a few. This stage veteran also worked in theatres Dramatyczny (where he spent 10 years, 1973 - 1983), Studio and others. First screen appearance was in the movie Wolne miasto (1958) when Piotr was only 12 years old. Another roles followed. He charmed the audience in The Promised Land (1975) in his episodic role, then sang in musical Hello, Fred the Beard (1978) (where he teamed up with Gabriela Kownacka for the first time), played Professor Ambrozy in Pan Kleks w kosmosie (1988) and lately became the head of the family in comedy series Rodzina zastepcza (1999). His filmography includes all genres that are known as his roles are different every time. He continues his work as a stage actor. People consider him one of the most talented Polish actors of all time.- The multi-faceted Polish-born performer Lili Valenty appeared in a dozen or so Broadway plays in the 30s, 40s and 50s, then went on to enliven a number of routine on-camera projects in her twilight years. Born at the turn of the century, she received her start on the German stage where she became a star. In the early 1930s she emigrated to America and tried to parlay her European success into stardom here. Although she fell quite short, she did launch a moderately successful career on both radio and the Broadway stage. Some of her NY theater productions included "Bitter Stream" (her debut) 1936, "Cue for Passion" (1940), "The Land Is Bright" (1941), "Sky Drift" (1945), and "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" (1950). In 1955 she was a replacement in the role of Baroness Livenbaum in the successful Broadway production of "Anastasia" starring Viveca Lindfors and Eugenie Leontovich, which later went on tour. Lili later transitioned into the film and TV mediums, predominantly in decorative fluff unworthy of her talents. Although she made her film debut in support of Anna Magnani in the melodrama Wild Is the Wind (1957), she continued rather inauspiciously from there with a minor dowager role in Can-Can (1960), and typical ethnic parts in The Story of Ruth (1960), the Troy Donahue / Suzanne Pleshette romantic excursion Rome Adventure (1962), one of Elvis Presley's weaker vehicles Girls! Girls! Girls! (1962), and the Jayne Mansfield "comedy" It Happened in Athens (1962). Sometimes billed as "Lili Valenti", she appeared sparingly after this as various mamas, madames, gypsies, nuns, ballet teachers, and the like on episodic TV. She died in Los Angeles in 1987 at age 86 and left no survivors.

He is a director and writer, known for Pozegnanie z Maria (1993), Egzekutor (1999) and Television Theater (1953).- One-time-child-starlet - as far as W pustyni i w puszczy (1973) was her the only movie role (if you don't count mini-series created from movie materials and Polish dubbing for The Water Babies (1978) British cartoon, which isn't confirmed thing for now) - half Romanian Rosca was nine when she has beaten over four thousand other girls in the casting for the role of young Nel Rawlison (she was twelve when they have finished making the movie).
After the movie's success (it remains until today the second ranked movie in Polish cinematography if you consider the number of viewers), she didn't follow acting career but got back to her elementary music school (she played at that time at piano and flute) and has followed that path.
After high school she went to the Warsaw and Lodz Academies of Music where she was awarded a master's degree in fine arts. Twice the recipient of a Fryderyk Chopin Society Scholarship, Rosca became an assistant professor at age 24 but gave up teaching to concentrate on an international career that has included concerts in Poland, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Rumania, Russia, Korea, Indonesia and India.
She has won a number of international competitions, including the "Rina Sala Gallo" in Italy; Chamber Music and Karol Szymanowski Competitions in Lodz, Poland; "Atheneum" Piano Competition in Athens, Greece; and Milosz Magin Piano Competition in Paris, France and Fryderyk Chopin International Competition in Poland.
A Chopin devotee, Rosca delights in playing Chopin with Orchestra and often plays concerts for the Fryderyk Chopin Society in Warsaw. She has spent couple of years at the contract in Japan.
She remains until today in touch with Tomasz Medrzak, her co-star from W pustyni i w puszczy (1973). In 1975 she was rewarded with "Kvety" magazine award for that movie. - Producer
