Yorgos Lanthimos was born in Athens, Greece. He studied directing for Film and Television at the Stavrakos Film School in Athens. He has directed a number of dance videos in collaboration with Greek choreographers, in addition to TV commercials, music videos, short films and theater plays. Kinetta, his first feature film, played at Toronto and Berlin film festivals to critical acclaim. His second feature Dogtooth, won the "Un Certain Regard prize" at the 2009 Cannes film festival, followed by numerous awards at festivals worldwide. It was nominated for a Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award (Oscar) in 2011. Alps won the "Osella for best screenplay" at the 2011 Venice film festival and Best Film at the Sydney film festival in 2012. His first English language film The Lobster was presented in Competition at the 68th Cannes Film Festival. Moreover, "The Lobster" was nominated for the (Oscar about the) Best Original Screenplay by the Academy and won Best Screenplay and Best Costume Design at the European Film Awards of 2015. His fifth project "The Killing of a Sacred Deer" was also presented in Competition at the 70th Cannes Film Festival where it won the award for the best Screenplay. Lanthimos's last film "The Favorite" is a historical Drama about the British Queen Anne.- Klelia was born in Thessaloniki. Straight after school she went to study Journalism and Mass Communications at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, but at the same time though, she was modeling, traveling around the world and staying in Paris, where she was represented by Marilyn Agency. At the age of 19, she landed a part in the TV series Brousko, where she got bitten by the acting bug and decided to study theatre at the Athens Conservative Drama School. Since graduation she has starred in two successful plays, "Motel" by Vassilis Mavrogeorgiou and "Butterflies in the Stomach" by Konstantinos Rigos. She is starring in the upcoming film "The Last Taxi Driver" by Stergios Paschos, an official entry at the Thessaloniki Film Festival in September 2023 and has already lent her voice in the Greek version of Disney's "Elemental" (June 2023) for the role of Ember Lumen. Currently she is filming the second series of TV's "Maestro in Blue" by Christopher Papakaliatis, the first Greek production included in Netflix.

Ariane Labed (born 8 May 1984) is a Greek-born French actress and film director. She is best known for her feature film debut in Attenberg, for which she won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress, and appearing in Helen Edmundson's film Mary Magdalene in 2018.
Born to French parents, Ariane Labed lived her first six years in Athens, then six years in Germany. She arrived in France at 12 years old. Ariane Labed studied theater at the University of Provence (Deust Basic training in theater, Bachelor of Performing Arts and Master Dramaturgy and scenic writing). She participated in the creation of the Vasistas theater troupe with Argyro Chioti and went on stage with the National Theater of Greece.
Labed was awarded the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the 67th Venice International Film Festival for her performance in Attenberg, directed by Athina Rachel Tsangari, which was her debut film. She starred in the film Alps, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. In 2018, she appeared as Rachel in Helen Edmundson's film Mary Magdalene.- Actor

Alexis Georgoulis was born in the Greek town Larissa. In 1993, he started studying at the National Technical University of Athens to become a Civil Engineer. In 1997, after graduating from the prestigious Jasmine Drama School, Alexis would go on to star in several stage productions. During this time, he teamed up with the dance group "Heresis" in the performance "Carmen 33" (1997) and "The Return" (1998).
Looking toward a career in front of the camera, Alexis took part in the TV series "Alice in Wonderland" (1997 ET channel), and "Death Agony" (1998 ET channel), and also in the short cut film "No One's Rose". In 2001, he co-starred in the sitcom "You Are My Mate", which became a huge success and made him one of Greece's most sought after leading men. Alexis would go on to appear in the Greek TV series "Oneiro Itan" (2003), "Erastis Ditikon Proastion" (2004) and "Oi Istories Tou Astynomou Beka" (2007).
In 2002, Alexis would star in back to back feature films, the comedy "The Bubble" and the crime drama "Too Late Tomorrow". Following the success of these films, Alexis starred in "Oxygono" (2003), which won the Fipresci Prize at the Thessaloniki Film Festival. Taking advantage of his big screen success, Alexis went on to direct the play "Good Luck" written by the rewarded Greek writer Bill Katsikonouris for the Progressive Stage of the National Theatre. The following year at the Kivotos Theatre (2004), he directed the black comedy "The Shape of Things", written by Neil Labute.
In 2005, Alexis returned to feature films playing the lead role of Dimitris Georgiou in "Liubi". In 2009, Alexis was given the opportunity to bring his talents overseas, playing the lead role in Fox Searchlight's "My Life in Ruins" also starring Nia Vardalos and Richard Dreyfuss. The film, produced by Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, extended Alexis appeal and has since made him an international star extending far beyond Europe. Alexis can next be seen in "A Green Story" starring opposite Shannon Elizabeth.

Efthymis Filippou was born January 18, 1977 in Athens, Greece. He is a writer, screenwriter and playwright. He has also been active as a journalist and copywriter. In 2007 Efthymis Filippou published the novel "Someone talking to himself while holding a glass of milk" on MNP Publications.Two years later in 2009 he wrote "Dogtooth" together with director/writer Yorgos Lanthimos. So far the two have collaborated in three feature films. Besides "Dogtooth", in "Alps" and "The Lobster". Alexandros Logothetis was born in Athens, Greece, in December 1970.
Graduated with Honours from the National Theater of Greece Drama School in 1991 and obtained a BA in Acting from the Arts Educational Schools London in 1999.
On the big screen, he has worked in more than 30 films, twice awarded at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival for the movies "Business in Balkans" (Best Actor) and "Totally Married" (Best Supporting Actor Award).
His work on television gave him popularity early on in his career and shows like "Women", "Anatomy of a Crime", "Stand by me", "The Sacrifice", and "Ten" allowed him to show his acting abilities on the small screen. In 2010 he starred in Victoria Hislop's international best seller "The Island", portraying Dr Kyritsis, a role that till today is linked with Alexandros in the mind of the audiences. In 2019 he co-starred in Adults in the Room as Manos, directed by Costa Gavras. In 2022 he co-starred in ''Magpie Murders'' as Andreas Patakis next to Lesley Manville, an Eleventh Hour, PBS Masterpiece, Britbox and Salt Films production directed by Peter Cattaneo.
In the theatre, Alexandros has worked with some of the most influential directors in Greece, like Stathis Livathinos, George Michailidis, Nikos Mastorakis, Stamatis Fasoulis, Io Voulgaraki, Cezaris Grauzinis.

Theo Angelopoulos began to study law in Athens but broke up his studies to go to the Sorbonne in Paris in order to study literature. When he had finished his studies, he wanted to attend the School of Cinema at Paris but decided instead to go back to Greece. There he worked as a journalist and critic for the newspaper "Demokratiki Allaghi" until it was banned by the military after a coup d'état. Now unemployed, he decided to make his first movie, Anaparastasi (1970). Internationally successful was his trilogy about the history of Greece from 1930 to 1970 consisting of Days of '36 (1972), The Travelling Players (1975), and Oi kynigoi (1977). After the end of the dictatorship in Greece, Angelopoulos went to Italy, where he worked with RAI (and more money). His movies then became less political.- Actress

Melina Mercouri was born in Athens, Greece on October 18, 1920. An early woman activist, she was elected to the Greek Parliament in 1977. Later Miss Mercouri was to become the first woman to hold a Senior cabinet post "Minister of Culture" in the Greek government. In 1971 she wrote her autobiography titled "I Was Born Greek." Melina wed actor Jules Dassin in 1966 and remained married to him until her death in 1994. Melina Mercouri died of lung cancer in New York City, on March 6, 1994.- Actress

Mary Tsoni (25 June 1987 - 8 May 2017) was a Greek actress and singer. She was best known for her roles in the films Evil (2005), Dogtooth and Evil: In the Time of Heroes (both 2009). For her role in Dogtooth, she won the award for Best Actress at the Sarajevo Film Festival, and the motion picture itself was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
Born in Athens, Tsoni was also the lead singer of a punk band called Mary and The Boy and, prior to her acting career, a make-up artist. Tsoni was found dead in her apartment in Exarcheia, Athens on 8 May 2017, a month before her 30th birthday.- Gorgeous, buxom and voluptuous blonde knockout Suzi Simpson was born Susan Athena Simpson on November 16, 1968 in Athens, Greece. Her father was a Navy officer and her mother was a flight attendant. The eldest of four children, Simpson has two brothers and one sister. Yorgos Karamihos is an acclaimed actor, director, and acting teacher. Born and raised in Northern Greece, he graduated from Ionian University, with a degree in Philosophy and History, as well as from The Greek National Theatre Academy. In 2012, he received a Fulbright Scholarship as an exceptional artist to study at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting & Theatre in Los Angeles, where he was immediately offered a position to teach his own acting technique. His credits as an actor include over forty theatrical productions from ancient Greek dramas and Shakespeare to Anton Chekhov, Tennessee Williams and other classical and modern plays. He has appeared in more than thirty feature films and in numerous TV series, including The Durrells in Corfu, Bulletproof, and Genius (Picasso). Karamihos has also directed multiple theatrical productions in major venues in Greece and the United States. In 2008, he received the Best Stage Actor award of Greece. Helena Kallianiotes was born in Greece. At age 10 she came to America and lived in Boston, Massachussetts. At 16 she started belly dancing in Boston night clubs.
