Eva Guy-Reed

Eva Guy-Reed, an IATSE 798 hairstylist with over ten years of experience was born Eva Laura Guy in Los Angeles, Ca. She moved to New Orleans, La in 1989 with her father and sister after her parents split. She was raised in the 7th ward where she attended elementary and middle school. After her freshman year of high school, Eva relocated back to Los Angeles, Ca in 1997 with her mother who was a hairstylist. She would assist her mom in the salon where she worked in Inglewood, Ca while attending High School and juggling extracurricular activities. After graduating in 2000, Eva lived bi-coastal between New Orleans and Los Angeles before settling in NOLA in 2002. She met her ex-husband and had 3 sons. She would eventually leave New Orleans in August of 2005 due to Hurricane Katrina where she moved to Central FL and settled there for 13 years.
During her time in FL, Eva decided to hone her hair styling skills. She received her cosmetology license in Feb 2010. She worked in the salon for a few years and eventually opened her own hair studio in 2013. She began to master hair styling and wig application through mentorship's, classes and also started mastering makeup as an artist with MAC Cosmetics. Eva became the FL Regional Educator for amika hair brand where she worked NYFW for a number of years before becoming Creative Director for runway shows in Washington, DC.
She eventually moved on to Film and Television full time in 2015 to present day, traveling to different places working on TV and film projects.
