A federal judge has delayed the sentencing of a Washington man who admitted to helping Florida journalist Timothy Burke access computer systems used by Fox News and other broadcasters.
Marco Gaudino, 24, was originally scheduled to be sentenced in July after reaching a plea agreement with federal prosecutors and subsequently admitting to felony criminal conspiracy. However, his sentencing has been delayed to November at the earliest, because prosecutors believe Gaudino will help in their prosecution of Burke, who was indicted on 14 criminal counts in February.
Under the plea agreement, Gaudino affirmed his willingness to cooperate with investigators in their case against Burke, which could include testifying against the journalist if his case proceeds to trial. A trial date has been tentatively scheduled for mid-October.

Vivek Ramaswamy, the tech entrepreneur and podcast host, called for the website BuzzFeed to cut staff and hire controversial commentators like former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
BuzzFeed, which raised hundreds of millions of dollars from investors in the early 2010s after it saw great success with viral stories across social networks, is under serious pressure as traffic platforms like Facebook and X decline.
The group’s shares tanked after it went public on the stock market in 2021.
Since BuzzFeed went public through a Spac, shares in the company decreased 92%, trading at $3 in recent days.
It laid off hundreds of staff, shuttered its award-winning news division in 2023 and sold off Complex Networks.
Even though the company has been struggling, it still operates The Huffington Post, Tasty, First We Feast and other prominent internet brands.
Ramaswamy now owns 8.3% of BuzzFeed after he revealed his investment last week.

Fox News saw double digit ratings growth during the month of May, as all cable networks some some year-over-year total viewership uptick with Donald Trump’s hush money trial dominating the coverage.
In primetime, Fox News averaged 2 million viewers, up 41% from the same month a year earlier. MSNBC averaged 1.16 million, about the same as last year, and CNN averaged 518,000, up 5%.
It was a mixed picture in the 25-54 demo. Fox News averaged 199,000, up 47% from a year earlier, compared to 110,000 for MSNBC, down 8% and CNN with 96,000, down 15%.
Another potential factor in Fox News’ ratings gains: In May 2023, Fox News saw a primetime ratings dip after the network parted ways with its top personality, Tucker Carlson, and initially filled the slot with guest hosts. The network has seen some audience recovery since Jesse Watters filled the slot permanently. In his last full month on the air, Carlson averaged 3.25 million viewers in March,...

In a local TV interview, former President Donald Trump revealed a list of four people he is considering as vice presidential candidates.
In an interview with News 12 News Jersey, following his campaign rally in The Bronx, New York, political reporter, Tara Rosenblum asked if Trump was considering former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley, who declared last week that she would vote for him in the 2024 presidential election.
“A big night last night, Nikki Haley making her first public remarks since dropping out of the race,” the reporter asked. “She said that Joe Biden has been a catastrophe, and she’s voting for you. I’m sure those were welcome remarks for you, but they also left a lot of people wondering if there is room for her on your team or, better yet, your ticket.”

Controversial conservative commentator Tucker Carlson’s show will now regularly air on Russia’s state-run television channel, Rossiya 24, despite the anchor’s claim he is not involved.
Dean Thompson, the head of programming and production at the Tucker Carlson Network, asserted, “Any use of our content on that channel is without legal permission.”
Carlson’s show, known for conspiracy theories and pro-Russian rhetoric, has long been a source of concern, and his claims have ranged in idiocy from suggestions that Lyme disease is a bioweapon targeting the poor to downplaying Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as a mere “border dispute.”
Carlson’s affinity for Russian President Vladimir Putin is no secret, and earlier this year, he traveled to Moscow for a widely criticized interview with the Russian leader, which was seen as a softball session. Despite Putin’s subsequent mockery of Carlson, the conservative has defended the Russian dictator’s actions.

NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers has confirmed that he was approached by independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be his running mate for the 2024 election.
Rodgers, the four-time Mvp of the New York Jets, expressed his initial shock at the idea in an interview with conservative commentator Tucker Carlson, released on Tuesday.
“My thing is, [Donald Trump] had four years to do it and didn’t drain the swamp,” he said. “And whether he just got scared because of what he learned when he was in there — I think it’s very plausible.”
Rodgers, who has been outspoken on various controversial issues, revealed that Kennedy asked him, “Would you think about being my running mate?” The quarterback responded equally candidly, saying, “Are you serious? Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed a renowned political scientist, nicknamed “Professor Doomsday,” as part of the new foreign policies team focused on “deterring the West.”
Sergei Karaganov, a 71-year-old political analyst, has sparked concerns globally due to his controversial views and alarming statements. Karaganov has advocated for extreme measures, such as nuclear strikes against the West and Europe, as a means to test the United States’ commitment to its allies. He firmly believes that the West must not defeat Russia and claims that Russians possess an inherent “despotic DNA.”
Karaganov has previously urged Putin to launch a preemptive nuclear attack on Europe with the assertion that such an action would prevent a full-scale war. His thought process suggested that no country would dare retaliate due to the catastrophic consequences of leaving the world in “radioactive ruins.” He further argued that the West would be compelled to strategically retreat or even...

As the House moves to vote on Ukraine aid this weekend, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) suggested, without any evidence, that House Speaker Mike Johnson might be being “blackmailed.”
“Mike Johnson has made a complete departure of who he is and what he stands for,” Greene told conservative commentator Tucker Carlson during an interview on his show, Tucker Carlson Uncensored. “And to the point where people are literally asking — is he being blackmailed? What is wrong with him? Because he’s completely disconnected with what we want.”
Carlson asked her if she believed that Johnson was being blackmailed.

During the interview, Greene listed off more policy areas she feels that Johnson has not paid attention to, such as border security, anti-abortion and anti-trans legislation.

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-California) stated that he was removed because Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Florida) wanted to stop the ethics investigation over his alleged affair with a 17-year-old girl.
“And I’ll give you the truth why I’m not speaker,” McCarthy shared during a recent event at Georgetown University. “It’s because one person – a member of Congress – wanted me to stop an ethics complaint because he slept with a 17-year-old – an ethics complaint that started before I ever became speaker. And that’s illegal.”
“I’m not going to get in the middle,” he declared. “Did he do it or not? I don’t know.”
The former California representative was referring to a House Ethics Committee investigation that opened in 2021 regarding allegations that Gaetz violated sex trafficking laws and had relations with an underage girl.
This investigation was tabled to allow the Department of Justice to investigate.

Tucker Carlson Tricked by YouTubers Claiming They Edited Kate Middleton’s Mother’s Day Photo | Video
YouTubers Josh Pieters and Archie Manners are the duo behind Goon Squad Productions and the platform’s “Josh & Archie” channel, where they regularly prank celebrities and other notables in their frequently viral interviews. On Thursday, the pair revealed a major prank on former Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson, where they took credit for editing Kate Middleton’s infamous Mother’s Day photo.
Things started when Pieters reached out to Carlson’s team via email and claimed he was the person who edited the Princess of Wales’ viral image, which the Associated Press and other photo services later pulled after finding that it had been digitally altered.
After reminding viewers of Middleton’s ongoing health-and-Photoshop-related woes, Pieters noted in the video that Carlson has “interviewed Putin and covered some really important stories” before he cut to a clip of the commentator expressing his disdain for a “plus-sized, obese purple M&m” on Fox News.

The former Fox News anchor was duped by British YouTubers Josh & Archie into interviewing a fake Kensington Palace whistleblower, who was prepared to dish the dirt on the doctored image.
Archie Manners posed as the Prince and Princess of Wales’ former digital content creator, who claimed he had been fired for altering the Mother’s Day image so poorly it was rumbled by the public.
The Tucker Carlson Network, which streams on Twitter (now X), accepted his story after Manners and co-conspirator Josh Pieters forged Kensington Palace employment documents.
The YouTubers’ faked letter of engagement for the whistleblower included a clause stating that the palace had a right to amputate one of his limbs should he fail his probation period.

A Florida journalist who faces numerous computer hacking charges may lose his private lawyers if legal fees continue to mount.
At a court hearing on Monday, an attorney representing former Deadspin editor Timothy Burke said he may need a court-appointed attorney through the federal public defender’s office if he is unable to continue paying for private counsel in the future.
For nearly a year, Burke has been represented by Michael Maddux and Mark D. Rasch, who have worked with Burke on pre-indictment motions that sought to compel the government to return numerous computers, phones and other items seized during a raid on his Tampa-area home last May.

In a different era, Tucker Carlson used to post pictures during his Fox News broadcasts of Chris Cuomo working out, then poke fun at his one-time CNN rival. Now the two personalities are going to hash things out.
Cuomo traveled to Florida for a one-on-one sit-down conversation with Carlson that is expected to air Monday, March 11 at 8 p.m. eastern on Nexstar Media’s NewsNation. The two have a lot to discuss. They were both top draws in cable-news primetime during the presidency of Donald Trump. And both have been trying to make their way in a new era after each was ousted by their former media employers. Cuomo joined NewsNation to lead a primetime show in 2022, while Carlson has set up his own media company and broadcasts programs that are seen on the social-media hub X.

Former Fox New host Tucker Carlson claimed that Moscow is a far nicer place when compared to any city in America.
“I am a patriotic American and I grieve when I see that the president is a non compos mentis, and that in my country, it is considered very rude to say that,” Carlson said during an interview at the World Government Summit 2024. “And you sort of wonder how did you get to a place where you have an incompetent president who’s driven, not simply the standard of living, but life expectancy downward and no one feels free to say that that’s not a political observation, it’s a statement of fact which is provable empirically.”
“And the most radicalizing thing for me in the eight days I spent in Moscow was not just the leader of the country [Vladimir Putin], who, of course, is impressive,” he claimed.

The order was issued last Thursday following the arrest of Timothy Burke on numerous computer hacking, electronic intercept and conspiracy charges, with the judge imposing the mental health test as a special condition of his pre-trial release.
In addition to the evaluation, Burke must submit to period substance abuse testing and was forced to surrender his passport and other travel documents, according to a court records reviewed by The Desk. With the second anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on Saturday, Fox News’ Bret Baier sat down with Volodymyr Zelensky for an interview on the front lines.
The fate of a U.S. aid package, now all but stalled in the House, was a centerpiece of the interview, but Baier also brought up former Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s recent sit down with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Baier asked Zelensky, “My former colleague Tucker Carlson recently traveled to Moscow and sat down for an interview with Vladimir Putin. Did you happen to see that or coverage of it?”
The Ukrainian leader responded, “I heard some messages in media, and, also, my guys who are advisers, they said. So I don’t have to do — I don’t have time to hear more than two hours of bullshit about us, about the world, about the United States, about our relations,...

The 1990s decade had set a pathway for the anime and manga industry, which was further developed by the Big Three. Mobile Suit Victory Gundam was one of the few anime that held the credit for paving the way. The anime followed the military science fiction and the mecha genre, and it felt a mark on every anime fan’s mind with its plot and amazing mecha suits.
The anime featured war and the aftereffects of horrific man-made disasters. Mobile Suit Victory Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino took the reference to the latest war, the Ukraine-Russia war, and made a few interesting comments on Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin. He said if Putin had watched his magnum opus, the Ukraine-Russia war would not have happened in the first place.

Jon Stewart returned for his second round of hosting “The Daily Show” under his new deal on Monday night, and he wasted no time in laying waste to Tucker Carlson’s trip to Russia. In fact, the host treated it as a “master class” from Carlson in “the particulars of unquestioning propaganda.”
Pulling out a pad of paper and a pen, Stewart first asked “Professor, tell me, what is step one in delivering world class fealty to power?” At that, a clip of Carlson played, in which he explained that he was in Russia to interview Vladimir Putin “because it’s our job. We’re in journalism.”
“Lie about what your job is,” Stewart parroted back, taking notes.
From there, Stewart went through Carlson’s footage piece by piece, mocking the interview Carlson did with Putin, his fawning over Russia’s subway system, his additional fawning over the prices at a Russian grocery store,...

Jon Stewart conceded last night that he has some lessons to learn from a Russian-hopping “journalist” like Tucker Carlson. Chastened by Daily Show critics who snarked about the “both-sides-isms” of Stewart’s return to his old late night desk last week, a faux-humbled Stewart set out to learn whatever he could from his newfound mentor-du-jour, the Putin-chatting Tucker Carlson.
“Where do I go to study the particulars of unquestioning propaganda?,” Stewart said on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, setting up a bit that had more than a little of the old bite. “I would need mentorship! Saints be praised, for Professor Tucker Aloysius Mayflower Kennebunkport Backgammon Carlson III has arrived.”
Watching Carlson’s now-familiar Moscow reports extolling the virtues of Russian subway systems, locking grocery carts and cheap food prices, Stewart vivisected Carlson with some long-simmering glee. When the former Fox News host gushed that Russia’s locking shopping carts keep the carts from making their way to homeless encampments, Stewart deadpanned, “I know I’ve said this before, but you’re such a d*ck”.
From there, Stewart schools Carlson on those cheap Russian groceries – which Carlson said would radicalize any American.
“And it will radicalize you unless you understand basic economics,” Stewart responded. “See, $104 for groceries sounds like a great bargain unless you realize Russians earn less than $200 a week. But that’s the kind of context that a — what did you call yourself earlier? — a journalist would have provided. But here’s the reality, you f*cking know all this, because you aren’t as dumb as your face would have us believe. Perhaps if your handlers had allowed, you would have seen there was a hidden fee to your cheap groceries and orderly streets. Ask Aleksei Navalny or any of his supporters.”
Check out Stewart’s take-down of Carlson above.

In response to the online backlash he’s received for his criticism of President Joe Biden, Daily Show host Jon Stewart has decided to take a masterclass in speaking truth to power — and who better to emulate than his old pal Tucker Carlson?
It has been 19 years since the Daily Show host went on CNN’s Crossfire and took Carlson and co-host Paul Begala to task for fomenting partisan discord. After Carlson remarked that Stewart was funnier on his Comedy Central series, Stewart shot back, “You’re as big a d–k on your show as you are on any show.

Nope, Jon Stewart isn’t walking back his criticism of President Joe Biden last week during his Daily Show return. If anything, Stewart kind of doubled down during his second episode Monday night, before spending the bulk of his opening segment tearing into Tucker Carlson’s Russia propaganda tour.
Stewart opened his second show back on the Comedy Central late night series by diving right into the backlash to his first (specifically citing this Hollywood Reporter story). Stewart had generated plenty of headlines — and big ratings — in an episode where he mocked Biden for his apparent age-related cognitive issues. Some progressives have slammed the segment, accusing Stewart of inadvertently helping Biden’s presumed election rival, Donald Trump.
“The response to the first show last Monday was universally glowing — Ok, maybe not universal,” Stewart said (video below) while showing screenshots of critical tweets. “But [the backlash was] on Twitter! Everything on Twitter gets a backlash.

The news of the death of Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny very quickly put a focus on Tucker Carlson, the right-wing talk host who recently trekked to Moscow to interview Vladimir Putin.
Carlson told the Daily Mail today that “it’s horrifying what happened to Navalny. The whole thing is barbaric and awful. No decent person would defend it.”
In the wake of reports of Navalny’s death, Carlson faced another round of backlash after interviewing Putin last week and for subsequent social media posts. In them, Carlson trumpeted a Moscow subway station and a grocery store.
Former congresswoman Liz Cheney wrote on X/Twitter earlier today, “This is what Putin’s Russia is, Tucker Carlson. And you are Putin’s useful idiot. Same with you J.D. Vance and other Putin-wing Republicans who are working to defeat Ukraine in its struggle for freedom.”

Right-wing Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin) defended his opposition to a bill to provide additional aid to Ukraine. Johnson seemed to agree with points Russian Presiden Vladimir Putin made in his controversial interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
In an appearance on Real America’s Voice, a conservative news network, Johnson emphasized, “Our policy should be focused on how do we bring Vladimir Putin to the table.” He expressed reservations about the effectiveness of certain sanctions and stated that they may inadvertently diminish the value of American currency as Russia explores alternative trading options. He said, “We’re cutting off our nose to spite our face with some of these sanctions.”
Johnson continued, “A lot of the points that Vladimir Putin made are accurate. They’re obvious, and so many of our people here in Washington, D.C., are just ignoring that, making people believe like Ukraine can win.

During the course of the investigation, McGrath got heated and threatened the teen he thought was responsible, and Benson had to report his actions and words to Internal Affairs. In an extensive two-hour interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, Russian President Vladimir Putin embarked on a revisionist historical rant that challenged the founding myths of Russia and Ukraine, discussed the breakup of the Soviet Union and expressed concerns about NATO expansionism.
While Carlson remained mostly silent or appeared perplexed, Putin used the opportunity to expound on various topics, such as the war in Ukraine, U.S.-Russia relations, the case of imprisoned journalist Evan Gershkovich and artificial intelligence.
Critics noted that Putin’s decision to engage with Carlson was influenced in part by the perceived sympathy the former Fox host has shown toward the Russian leader over the years, as well as the chance to appeal to the more Maga-aligned factions of the Republican Party in an election year. Such an alignment could potentially bolster former President Donald Trump‘s chances of re-election and encourage Republicans to continue blocking U.

Piers Morgan has announced his “Uncensored” show is moving from TalkTV to YouTube, citing the “unnecessary straitjacket” of TV schedules.
In an interview with The Times, Morgan said he will now focus on growing the “Uncensored” YouTube channel, which has over 2.3 million subscribers. “Uncensored” has aired in the 8 p.m. slot on TalkTV for the past two years.
“It’s clear there’s a huge global demand for the content we’re making, but the commitment to a daily show at a fixed schedule, with all the editing and time sensitivities that involves, has been an increasingly unnecessary straitjacket,” Morgan told The Times.
He cited controversial podcast host Joe Rogan, who posts his full interviews to YouTube, as an inspiration for making the move.
“People are watching the content on YouTube rather than conventional television and I have no problem with that. You can’t defy audiences or tell them how they should be consuming,...

Tucker Carlson’s just-released interview with Vladimir Putin shows the former Fox News host has left shameless behind for pure sycophancy.
It would be one thing if the much-hyped sit down from the Kremlin was merely fawning, but instead Carlson abdicated any sense of being a significant participant in the interview to let the internationally-scorned Russian president deliver what is for all practical purposes a stump speech. On the handful of occasions when Carlson actually did try to get a word or a question in, Putin knocks him down faster than a shot of vodka at a wedding banquet.
Name-dropping Stalin, Dostoyevsky, the slow fall of Roman Empire, and “how Russian people think more about the eternal,” Putin rambled on and on for much of the interview with little interjection or fact checking from the bemused-looking Carlson. In fact, for all Carlson’s incorrect claims that American media aren’t...

Tucker Carlson’s interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin went exactly how everyone expected, as not so much of an interview, but a demonstration by Putin of the ease with which he could utterly overpower one of the United States’ most prominent media figures.
Carlson opened the interview by directly addressing viewers, stating that he felt Putin was “sincere” in his belief that “Russia has a historic claim” to the portions of Ukraine he wishes to seize through military might.
“Are we having a talk show or a serious conversation?...

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has found himself at the center of controversy again due to his recent visit to Moscow and an off-the-cuff conversation he had with a Russian journalist.
Carlson is in the city for his highly anticipated interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The interview, confirmed by the Kremlin and Russian state news agency Tass, will be the first with an American journalist since 2021 and is expected to be released once it is prepared.
In a brief clip filmed in a parking lot, Carlson stated, “I really do like [Moscow], I’m not just saying that. Why do I feel like I’m betraying my country when I’m saying that? I’m not, I love America.”
Carlson’s praise for Moscow has drawn criticism from journalists and media organizations.
Previously, Carlson had claimed that “not a single Western journalist has bothered to interview Vladimir Putin,” a...
