In Mississippi, four hunters killed the biggest alligator in the state’s history.
The massive beast was found in the Yazoo River, which is part of the West Central Alligator Hunting Zone. measured at 802.5 pounds, the alligator was found on Saturday, during the second day of Mississippi’s alligator hunting season.
The four hunters who caught the alligator were Tanner White of Flora, Don Woods of Oxford, Will Thomas of Madison and Joey Clark of Jackson. The four hunters spotted the alligator in the river at around 9 p.m. According to the hunter’s accounts, they tried to hook the scaly beast eight or nine times, but the gator broke almost all of their rods. The hunt was successful when the alligator ended up tiring out.
After the alligator died, the four hunters put the alligator’s corpse on the boat. It took the four of them seven hours to reel the alligator in.

Tears were streaming during So You Think You Can Dance Wednesday - even before two more dancers were sent home. The night turned emotional early on, when, with his Swiss parents in the audience for the first time, ballet dancer Cheyon Wespi-Tschopp took to the stage for his solo. "You have to remember these dancers are kids who have dreamed of doing this their whole life," guest judge Jesse Tyler Ferguson told People after Wednesday’s show. "They grew up far away from L.A. and then are transplanted here. I think it is overwhelming for them." The tears continued...

Perhaps it's his infectious enthusiasm or his clear passion for the show. Whatever it is, "Modern Family" star Jesse Tyler Ferguson keeps getting invited back as a guest judge on "So You Think You Can Dance."
This time, he was on hand to watch yet another powerful performance by all-star Allison Holker. This time, she was partnered with martial arts dancer Cole Horibe, who was asked to portray a sadistic and soulless character.
Cole perfectly captured the character, as he has in previous weeks, bringing the judges to their feet. It wouldn't be their last time on a night filled with strong performances. But it was this one that left Ferguson shaking and in need of a cocktail.
Mary Murphy's favorite performance was Chehon Wespi-Tschopp's Argentine tango performed with all-star Anya Garnis, while all three judges were on their feet once again after the final number of the...

So You Think You Can Dance 2012 eliminated Lindsay & Will tonight in final 8 round. Earlier tonight, the "So You Think You Can Dance 2012" elimination show for the final 8 contestants, went down, and sent another two unlucky dancers packing. The show ,kicked off with a double performance from all the dancers for next week's elimination show. After they all finished that up, host Kat Deeley revealed that dancers Lindsay Arnold,Witney Carson, Will Thomas, and Cole Horibe landed in the bottom four this week. Jesse Tyler Ferguson — “weird and creepy and not a stalker,” he swears — just loves to come back and be a guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance. The Modern Family star invented the Hot Jalapeno Bus (a new friend for Mary Murphy’s Hot Tamale Train), and poignantly called out Will’s personal-story junket (“Dance saved my life…”) as a reason why arts programs are so important to schools. He is, quite simply, the best.

The So You Think You Can Dance All-Stars returned to dance with the Top 10 contestants Wednesday night — and look who we have here! Season 7 standout Alex Freaking Wong, who exited early because of an Achilles tendon injury and had to sit out last summer, after being invited back as an All-Star, because he’d hurt the Other Achilles tendon. I would guess that Alex Wong’s abs positively loathe his Achilles tendons for denying them their rightful opportunity to glisten on national television whenever possible.
Spoilers Ahead: The two dancers heading home are….
Audrey Case and George Lawrence II.

Heading into last night’s Mia Michaels tribute episode of So You Think You Can Dance, I was a little worried the judges would get so caught up in praising new renditions of the choreographer’s seven most memorable routines that their actual critiques would be reduced into something of a “You get a gold star! And you get a gold star! And you get a gold star!” mess.
What I wasn’t expecting was the sight of Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy in a bad cop-bad cop routine, interrogating dancers beneath a single, swinging lightbulb to determine whether or...

After a brief Olympic hiatus, "So You Think You Can Dance" is returning to the air tonight. I got a chance to talk to some of the competitors during the TCAs and discovered not everyone is thrilled with the new, shorter format, though everyone's thrilled to be doing what they love best -- dancing. Here's what Will Thomas, George Lawrence II, Amelia Lowe, Chehon Wespi-Tschop had to say about being accepted, the toughest genre, and why they aren't reading their critics. HitFix: So, you guys are the first dancers to face the new, one-day-a-week format. What do you think about it?...
