- American actress, Melanie Richardson was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to an African-American father and Caucasian mother. Her diverse look has lead to many roles on feature films and TV as Caucasian, African-American, Native American, Asian, Latina, Indian and Middle Eastern. She graduated from Enid High School, and attended Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo transferring to Central State after her second year.
Growing up as the youngest of her siblings, Melanie entertained herself being the typical annoying little sister. Her siblings were much older and she spent a great deal of her time trying to gain their full attention. Once she became the only child at home, she spent time enjoying extracurricular activities, such as Taekwon-Do, softball, basketball, track, cheerleading, and she played the violin for 9 years.
Over the years Melanie often envisioned herself in the arts and after a career change in 2008, she found herself back in the creative arena. Having fostered many relationships with photographers, actors, directors, and producers as a freelance writer, she decided to embrace those connections and add acting to her repertoire.
When she's not on set or taking acting classes, you'll find her doing any number of things. From writing, graphic design work, building websites to refinishing hardwood floors, shingling roofs, or cutting down trees, Melanie isn't afraid to fully embrace life.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Frank Sethlio
