Scott, who is equally adept at comedy and drama, is also a seasoned and well reviewed stage actor in such classic roles as Mitch in "Streetcar Named Desire", Lenny in "Of Mice and Men", Paul in "Barefoot in the Park" and Birdie in "Bye-Bye Birdie".

- Early in his acting career he went to an open call for "Sextette". He was selected to meet personally with Hollywood and Broadway legend Mae West for a starring role as a young Englishman opposite her. He recalls that although she was in her eighties, she still had a strong sexual presence. The role eventually went to Timothy Dalton.
