Scott Osborne (Scenic, Costume and Interior Designer, Theatre Professor): Scott is a multi-faceted and accomplished artist and educator with vast experience in the performing arts, film / television, and design industries. His extensive work as a stage and film designer has been described as inventive, playful, and sophisticated. Scott has over 25 years of experience as a Director and/or Designer for numerous professional theater productions. He served for eight years as Artistic Director for the critically-acclaimed and award-winning Our Endeavors Theater Collective. He has worked as a Set Designer and/or Art Director for three major network series and a Production Designer for independent film and broadcast television. He also has noteworthy experience designing custom high-end residential, commercial and hospitality interiors. Scott is a proud member of I.A.T.S.E. Local 484 stage designers & technicians union. Scott's theatrical design work has been seen at Ohio Theater (NYC), Theater of the Berkshires NY, Dallas Children's Theater, Dallas Theater Center, Theater Three, Shakespeare Dallas, Undermain Theater, Cara Mia Theater, Kitchen Dog Theater, Watertower Theatre, Lyric Stage, The Dallas Museum of Art, Our Endeavors Theater, Magnolia Lounge, The MAC, U.N.T and U.T.D. Film and television credits include PBS's Barney & Friends, TNT's Dallas, NBC's Salvation. Scott has received numerous awards and commendations for his work as an artist in the theater. These include five Dallas Theater Critics Forum Awards for Best Set Design, two Dallas Theatre League Awards for Best Direction and Best Production of a Musical, two Dallas Theatre League Nominations for Best Set Design & Best Direction, a Maverick Movie Award nomination for Best Production Design, three Dallas Observer Awards for Best Theatrical Debut, Best Production and Best Drama Queens, two Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival awards for Excellence in Scenic Design and a Tobin Scholarship for Artistic Excellence. Scott received his M.F.A. from SMU Meadows School of the Arts. He is a member of the theater faculty at Dallas College.
