- His son Nicholas C. Brown is the former rhythm guitarist and background vocalist for the metal band "Impact Winter". Nic is a classical guitarist by profession with a B.M. degree in Music Education.

- Started working when he was 9 years old as a newspaper boy for a newsdealer. He would eventually work for the Paterson Evening News as a messenger, advertising sales trainee and photographer while in high school and upon graduation from school up to his enlistment in the Navy.

- From 1982 to 2008 was a member of the Army National Guard and the United States Army Reserve attaining the rank of Master Sergeant (E-8). He functioned as a First Sergeant in both his MOS's. His MOS's was 19E40, Tank Commander and later 74Z40, Division Systems Chief (based on his civilian occupation). He is a decorated soldier and former sailor.
