Exclusive: Megan Stalter (Hacks), Kanoa Goo (The Rookie), and Rainn Wilson (The Office) will topline Ily, Bye, a new short marking the narrative debut of veteran music video helmer Taylor James (Jason Mraz’s “I Feel Like Dancing”), which has wrapped production.
The short written and directed by James follows Siobhan (Stalter), a quirky, socially anxious mess who can’t seem to keep a job. Thanks to the help of her best friend Gary (Goo), she scores an interview with his boss, Mr. Litchfield (Wilson). But when her call to schedule the interview goes to voicemail, Siobhan panics and leaves a series of unhinged messages. Not wanting to lose the interview, she embarks on a chaotic mission to delete the voicemails herself. James jokes that he decided to start from scratch and pursue his dream of filmmaking “after being forced to retire” from his career as a professional backup dancer...

There's a deadly pathogen coming for us.
That was the dire warning Dr. Jaax gave to the military panel on The Hot Zone Season 1 Episode 5 and The Hot Zone Season 1 Episode 6 after she and her team successfully contained the virus outbreak in Reston.
It's scary that Ebola can mutate so quickly to adapt to its current environment to spread.
It is a true biological genius.
Even scarier is that the source of Ebola has never been found so that it could be studied further
And if there are pathogens out there like Ebola, it's quite possible that there are even more dangerous viruses waiting to strike.
Or it may be that Ebola eventually "mates" with the Marburg virus and/or HIV to make a super virus just as Wade suggested.

It's Dr. Jaax against the world.
On The Hot Zone Season 1 Episode 3 and The Hot Zone Season 1 Episode 4, Dr. Jaax tries to convince the powers that be that the Ebola threat is real.
She's still met with skepticism after an old colleague of Wade's shows up and causes trouble.
Throughout the series so far, Dr. Jaax has shown an unbelievable tenacity to stay the course despite all the obstacles getting thrown her way.

There are many horrors in real life. Some are so ghastly that it might seem more like fiction than fact.
On The Hot Zone Season 1 Episode 1 and The Hot Zone Season 1 Episode 2, the alarming discovery that the deadly Ebola virus might have made it's way onto U.S. soil is the focus of National Geographic's, six-part limited series airing over three nights.
The series is inspired by the true events outlined in Richard Preston's 1994 best-selling novel of the same name.
If you haven't read the novel, no worries. This series will pull right into the actual terrifying race to prevent a global crisis of epic proportions.

You best know Lenny Platt from his role on Quantico and How to Get Away with Murder, but now he's taking on the role of a military man caught in the midst of the real-life terror that led to The Hot Zone.
With great candor and genuine excitement for the role and his craft, Platt shares with TV Fanatic his thoughts on the true story behind The Hot Zone as well as the vigorous performances required to bring that story to life on screen.
The Hot Zone premieres on Nat Geo May 27 at 9/8c and will air in two-hour blocks for three nights straight making it a great early summer binge experience. Until then, I hope you enjoy portions of our interview with Platt below.

The first scene of “The Hot Zone” is a chilling scene-setter, but also a bit of an tonal red herring. Captured with sparse dialogue and plenty of gut-churning close-ups, a sick man struggles to walk out of his house and climb into a cab for the airport. Somehow, he boards the plane, despite giant red welts covering his face and near-constant coughing upsetting his fellow passengers. On his way back from the restroom, the man clings to the backs of each seat just to stay upright, before collapsing into his own chair — and promptly vomiting up a barf-bag full of blood that the attendant dutifully dumps down a toilet.
The man is rushed to a Nairobi hospital, but there’s nothing to be done. As a young physician rushes to get air to his clogged lungs, a pocket of bloody discharge pops across the doctor’s face. He’s taken aback,...

Last week Quantico‘s Lenny Platt seemingly exited the show after his character Drew Perales willingly decided to leave the FBI Training Academy of his own volition. Lest you think that was the last you’ve seen of the lovable trainee, think again. In an exclusive interview with TVOvermind, Platt spoke on Drew’s future, projects past and present, plus the terrorist reveal. Though Platt wouldn’t definitively say whether or not Drew would be seen again going into the hit ABC drama’s season finale, he did hint that Drew’s story, whether you see it or not, is definitely not finished. The smoke has cleared — literally — and the rubble has been carted away from the blast site, but don’t assume that means that the three-month time jump between Quantico‘s second bombing and its midseason premiere provided much in the way of clarity or peace for Agent Alex Parrish.

Sourcebooks Sells Early E-Installments of Days Of Our Lives Books
Sourcebooks is testing a new model in which it is selling early access to books connected with the soap opera Days of Our Lives. Although CEO Dominique Raccah said “very few” people have paid $9.95 to become members of the DaysInsider Early Access program so far, it’s “significantly more than we expected.”
The program launched earlier this month as a subscription-based Web site that gives fans early access to two new books in the publisher’s Days Of Our Lives series. The promotion coincides with the show’s 45th anniversary. Earlier this year, Sourcebooks and Corday Productions, which produces the show, announced a five-book deal consisting of a memoir, a 45th anniversary commemorative coffee table book, and a fiction series extending storylines featured on the show.
