The first season of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" has some major gems, perhaps none more so than "Out of Sight, Out of Mind." SAG Award-winner Clea DuVall stars in the episode as a teen girl who is so shy and overlooked by her classmates that she literally turns invisible, causing her to lash out violently.
DuVall's character, Marcie Ross, was named after Marcy Ross, a real-life woman who worked on the "Buffy" set as an assistant to Gail Berman, a producer who helped develop the WB series and has since gone on to produce the Oscar-nominated mega-hit "Elvis." Berman also produced the spin-off series "Angel" and continues to work in television today (most recently on the first season of Netflix's super-successful "Addams Family" series "Wednesday").
Berman still remembers the season 1 episode of "Buffy" as her favorite of the series. Not only was the villain named after her assistant,...

"Reacher" season 2 is almost upon us, which means we'll soon get another batch of episodes full of the same over-the-top action that made the first season so popular. Amazon Prime Video have a bonafide hit on their hands with "Reacher," bringing Lee Child's popular book series to the small screen for the first time and wowing fans in the process. Unsurprisingly, anticipation is high for its return, especially since star Alan Ritchson finally delivered a book-accurate version of the titular former Army policeman.
Ritchson, who prior to filming gained 30 pounds to add to his already impressive 205-pound frame, has clearly taken his lead role seriously, telling Empire, "I read all 24 books before filming, and the first one twice, so by the time we were filming, I was such a huge fan. I was so in love with Reacher." That dedication seems to have contributed to the show's success, with...

Exclusive: Crazy Rich Asians co-writer Peter Chiarelli has teamed with Sk Global and Project Brazen to write a television adaptation chronicling the decades-long “Fat Leonard” U.S. Navy scandal, one of the military’s largest national security breaches.
The script will be based on Project Brazen’s popular podcast Fat Leonard, that featured Leonard Glenn Francis, a corrupt military contractor, who spoke exclusively for the first time about stealing tens of millions of dollars through deals with the U.S. Navy in exchange for cash bribes, escorts and luxury items.
The project marks the first television co-production for journalism content studio Project Brazen, founded by bestselling authors and Pulitzer finalists Tom Wright and Bradley Hope, and will follow an actively developing story with the podcast playing a major part around the current trials of five Navy officers involved with Francis. The Fat Leonard podcast recently garnered a Sopa 2022 Award for Excellence in Audio Reporting.

To celebrate the end of “Grace and Frankie,” Netflix is giving us some extra laughs.
The streamer released a Season 7 blooper reel on Monday, which you can watch above. The video features gaffes from missed lines to blundered fight choreography.
Of course, many of the best moments occur between Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda as they joke around in between takes — and sometimes during them.
“Ugh, I’m sorry,” Tomlin laments at one point, sinking into a chair. “I forgot my lines. And it’s not because I’m old! It’s because I never learned them.”
The final episodes of the series debuted on Netflix April 29.
Here’s the logline for the final season: “them for… each other. Both sparring partners and partners-in-crime, Grace and Frankie formed an unlikely and unbreakable bond as they faced uncertain futures head-on, and hand-in-hand. They’ve laughed together, cried together, did shrooms together,...

When “Grace and Frankie” debuted in May of 2015, it’s doubtful even creators Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris or stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin would have expected the show to have such long-lasting sucess. But the Netflix comedy was a juggernaut hit for the streaming platform, and kind of a unicorn in terms of its longevity. Upon its final season, which arrives this month, “Grace and Frankie” is the longest-running Netflix original series in the history of the service. But as the old adage says, all good things must come to an end.
On Thursday, the official trailer for the seventh and final season of “Grace and Frankie” was released by Netflix and the marketing materials tease an emotional farewell to the long-running comedy series.
The synopsis for the season reads as follows:

Legendary actresses Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin have broken records and barriers during their respective, half-century spanning careers, but the two icons are still making history, by leading Netflix’s longest-running original series.
“Grace & Frankie” returns for Season 7 April 29, with both Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin) looking to the end.
“I’d rather take a crazy ride with you than a normal ride with anybody else,” Grace tells Frankie, who proposes a “Thelma & Louise”-style sendoff.
From reflecting on the “wasted time” with the men in their lives to facing fears, the two characters have redefined what it means to “act your age.”
“I’m 80 years old,” Grace says in the trailer. “I’ve earned the right to take my sweet fucking time.”
“Seven years ago, Grace and Frankie’s lives turned upside down when their longtime husbands left them for each other,” the official series description reads.

As the country endures another surge in Covid infections, Netflix today delivered a bit of good news: The streamer has released the first four episodes of the seventh and final season of its comedy Grace and Frankie.
Watch stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin announce the news above.

Netflix has surprise-released the first four episodes of “Grace and Frankie” Season 7 months ahead of the show’s formal return.
The first four installments of the Netflix comedy’s 16-episode final season are now available to stream on the platform. Stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin recorded a video announcing the surprise premiere (apparently the second choice to surprising fans with Del Taco gift cards) that was released on the show’s social media accounts Friday.
The final 12 episodes of the season will air sometime in 2022.
“Grace and Frankie” was picked up for a seventh and final season nearly two years ago, but production on the final season was delayed by the pandemic. By the time the show wraps up next year, it will be Netflix’s longest-running original series with a total of 94 episodes.
Showrunner Marta Kauffman teased some of what to expect from the final season in an interview with TheWrap last year.

“Condor,” which originally aired on AT&T’s Audience Network, will move to Epix for its second season.
The thriller series is based on the novel “Six Days of the Condor.” The first season will air on Epix in March, with Season 2 coming later in 2021.
In January, WarnerMedia shuttered AT&T Audience Network, which was home to series including “Loudermilk” and “Mr. Mercedes,” and instead turned it into a promotional network for HBO Max. Peacock picked up the first two seasons of “Mr. Mercedes” earlier this year, but has no plans to continue the the Stephen King-inspired series.
WarnerMedia made a similar move with Cinemax and turned that into a movie-centric network.
Here’s the logline for “Condor”: Joe Turner (Max Irons) has always been conflicted about his work for the CIA. But when something he’s discovered gets his entire office killed, leaving Joe as the only survivor...

Amazon’s “Jack Reacher” has found its Jack Reacher in “Titans” star Alan Ritchson.
And since you’re probably wondering, Ritchson — who plays Hawk/Hank Hall on DC Universe’s “Titans” — is listed at 6 feet 4 inches tall and 235 pounds, considerately larger than Tom Cruise’s 5 feet 7 inches frame that drew the ire from fans of Lee Child’s books (and Child himself). Cruise played the character in a pair of movies, “Jack Reacher” and “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.”
When Child first said that he was looking to reboot “Jack Reacher” as a TV series with a new lead to replace Cruise, he argued the “Mission Impossible” star “didn’t have that physicality” of the character. In his books, Child frequently describes Reacher as being 6 feet 5 inches tall, with hands “the size of dinner plates” — they have also been described as the size of “a supermarket chicken,” or “Thanksgiving turkeys.
