Still shaking your head over the thought of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson taking on the role of Hercules, the legendary warrior? With the first official trailer for Brett Ratner’s epic released Tuesday, you can now pass judgement for yourself.
To be fair, The Rock looks pretty convincing in his outfit (which includes a piece of awesomely acquired lion headgear) and the trailer does a nice job of laying out what Ratner undoubtedly wanted to get across: this version of Hercules is not all fun and games. Ratner’s film follows the story of the warrior who, in the wake of his legendary twelve labors,...

For the first time since 1997 Steven Moore's Academy Award nominated short is out of the Disney vault and here for your viewing pleasure. Featuring Michael Richards one year before Seinfield ended, and 9 years before he made a big mistake of his own, he plays the wolf. The wolf uses a time machine to recreate the day he tried to capture Little Red Riding Hood. Hilarity ensues and with a brief cameo from Adam West, it's worth the watch time. There's no one else in Hollywood right now I could even picture playing Hercules other than Dwayne Johnson. Fortunately I'm not the only one who feels that way, as director Brett Ratner has tapped the former WWE star for the title role in his upcoming film.
Variety is reporting that Ratner and MGM have closed a deal with Johnson to have him play the lead in "Hercules." Not much is known about the project other than the fact it's an adaptation of Steven Moore's 2008 graphic novel "Hercules: The Thracian War." From what I know about that comic, that means there's going to be a lot of ruthless badassdom in this upcoming movie.
But that's not the only comic book project Johnson is interested in. Click on after the jump to find out more about his other film, "Ciudad."
Johnson is also set to headline the upcoming adaptation of the as-yet-unpublished graphic novel "Ciudad.
