Emily Head has said that she didn't expect to return for The Inbetweeners 2.
The actress played Simon's (Joe Thomas) on-off girlfriend Carli in the E4 sitcom and its first feature film in 2011. However, the character did not appear in the sequel released this year.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Emily claimed that she would have loved to have worked with her former colleagues again, but was aware that the likelihood of Carli's return was slim.
She said: "I still haven't seen it - I feel awful! I couldn't make it to the premiere, and then auditions and rehearsals have got in the way. I really do want to see it - I'm a big fan of the writers and the boys.
"I would have liked to have returned in that I would have liked to have worked with everyone again, but I think Carli was so awful at the end...

Emily Head is hoping to crack America. The 'Inbetweeners' actress - who portrayed Carli D'Amato in the British sitcom - has filmed a pilot for new Us show 'Rita', and she is hoping the programme will boost her acting career in the country. Speaking at the UK premiere of 'Much Ado About Nothing' at London's Apollo Theatre, she said: ''I have just shot a pilot for an American series, so now I'm just waiting to see if it goes anywhere. ''It stars Anna Gunn, it's called 'Rita'. It's about her, she's a private school teacher, and her family. I play her daughter.'' Rita,...

Previously on Pretty Little Liars, we discovered lots of great things: Toby is evil, Cece's a liar, Spencer's a professional ass-kicker, and elevators hate Jason Dilaurentis! Episode 20!
The girls are re-synching at Emily's cafe after Jason's accident, starting to realize that Cece could be the captain of the 'A' team, but Spencer's too busy worrying about how to kill Mona and solve Ali's murder and get Toby back and sleep with Wren all at the same time. Aria's really jealous. But just then, Wilden shows up, warning the girls about the stories they and Jason have been spreading about him, being creepy about it in every single possible way.
The next day, Wilden is spotted picking up Cece, and Hanna and her mom make sure to death glare before Hanna's mom decides to be a parent and ask what's going on with her tormented daughter. Hanna reveals the whole Ali/Wilden hookup theory,...

A 16-year-old girl named Sophie is in to be treated for a case of gonorrhea, the eighth girl from her high school to come in with the same ailment recently. After she gets done treating her, including a shot and talk about the necessity of condoms, Emily talks to a nurse about informing someone of the outbreak. The nurse tells someone from the local health department, who then talks to Dr. Bandari about sending someone to give a safe sex lecture at the high school the next day. Being that Emily was the one that brought the issue to everyone's attention, Dr. Bandari volunteers her to do it and all but tells her that if she doesn't take part, her life at Denver Memorial will become even more hellish than it had been.

Not a Boy, Not Yet a Man: Palmer’s Film Version of Popular Series a Threadbare Sketch
While it may have sounded like a good idea to make a film spin off of his immensely popular UK series with The Inbetweeners, Ben Palmer’s end result doesn’t reveal itself to be much of a motion picture. A series of interrelated sketches featuring the same four characters embodied by the same four actors from the series as they continue on with their clichéd heterosexual issues pertaining to getting laid and inebriated may have not the best route for a film treatment, and there’s something unavoidably regressive and derivative in their every moment on screen here. So much so that their endeavors feel like a bloated two part episode of the series rather than a standalone film (but then, maybe that explains, the insistence of clearly denoting that this is The Movie).
For those unfamiliar,...

Pretty Little Liars Teasers: Noel Khan, 'That Night' and Ezra's Past
It seems that Noel Khan - who pops up every once in a while on Pretty Little Liars - may have played a bigger role in Maya's disappearance and death than we may have suspected. ABC Family has released synopses for three upcoming episodes in August that hint at what's coming next.
Episode 3.08 "Stolen Kisses" (July 31): Emily is struggling to deal not only with the loss of Maya, but the knowledge that someone drugged her "that night" and how that has now affected Paige. Going to make amends with Paige and try to explain the drugged flask ends up leading Emily to more insight of what she did "that night." Also trying to help Emily out, Spencer turns to Caleb to help crack into a website that might hold answers for them all. Meanwhile, Aria realizes...

British TV hit The Inbetweeners ended its three-season run more than a year-and-a-half ago, but The Inbetweeners Movie — which opened in the U.K. last summer — is here to cap the characters’ various teenage misadventures in grand style. One filled with sexual pratfalls and filthy language, that is.
Even a Yankee neophyte got some good (if not exactly “refined”) laughs from this preview, with absurd dancing and a gag about spraying cologne in one’s public area being… highlights. We, sadly, weren’t so enthusiastic about the movie in our review, complaining that Ben Palmer‘s “oddly enjoyable” comedy “spends the best part of two hours spinning a yarn which probably should have been spun over the course of a television season.” I think it looks generally funny, but I’d honestly wait to see the (relatively short) series before going into the movie. You need that mythology set up,...

Revenge Recap: Victoria Schemes, Daniel Tries to Survive Prison and Emily Digs for the Truth
Revenge finally returned from hiatus this week with an episode that continued to prove why this show is so delicious. Let's just get right to it, shall we?
Let's Play "Pin The Murder on The Donkey". The way I see it, the main difference between Emily and Victoria is the way in which they react to situations. Emily is more of a "set up a plan and see it through methodically" kind of girl, while Victoria is a "let's try everything crazy and see what sticks" woman. Clearly Victoria isn't happy that Daniel is being charged with Tyler's murder, but instead of sitting back and letting their high-priced attorney (Ben) do his job, she decides to get creative. When Charlotte can't accurately describe the hooded figure she and Declan saw on the beach, Victoria uses...

An estimated 100,000 people are living with Aids and HIV in Britain, many of them young people who face prejudice on a daily basis. But a series of celebrity portraits by Rankin and a powerful new film, Life in My Shoes, are challenging that stigma
It is when 18-year-old Blessing gets the bus home from school that the bullying starts. As she waits for the bus to draw out of the stop, a clique of angry-faced girls runs up to the window next to where she is sitting. They begin thumping on the glass with their fists. They scream abuse and call her names, saying that she is "dirty" and "disgusting". They throw chips at her, smearing the window with ketchup, treating her as if she is no better than a piece of rubbish.
Her classmates have just found out that Blessing is HIV positive, and this is a powerful scene...

Emily Head has vowed to "never" return to Magaluf after filming 'The Inbetweeners Movie' there. The 22-year-old actress - who stars as Carli D'Amato in the E4 comedy show - revealed the cast stayed in a £7.50-a-night hotel with no locks on the toilet doors when they shot the motion picture, which has put her off ever going back to the holiday resort on the Spanish island of Majorca. She said: "I'd never go back to Magaluf! We filmed the movie there and the hotel we were staying in cost £7.50 a night. "All the floors were wipe-clean and none of...

Anthony Head has admitted that he was impressed by MTV's upcoming remake of The Inbetweeners. The Us version of the hit comedy will star Bubba Lewis, Joey Pollari, Zack Pearlman and Mark L. Young as the four awkward teenagers at the centre of the show. Head, who played Will's dad in the recent Inbetweeners movie, told Entertainment Weekly: "I have to say, sometimes you wonder about translations [but] it's good, actually. They followed [the original] very close. Its themes are pretty common." The actor, who is also the real-life father of Inbetweeners star Emily Head, added that the NBC remake of his own show Free Agents (more)...

The Inbetweeners Movie

Released date August 17 2011 (UK)

We all know that moment when our school life is officially over. No more teachers, no more school room politics. Real life, it is usually officially decided, is about to start and things will only get better. Many go on a lads/girls only holiday where he/she will drink/puke and definitely - finally - get laid/syphilis.
This is where we find our four heroes of The Inbetweeners Movie. Simon (Joe Thomas) has been dumped by his girlfriend Carli (Emily Head) and is in desperate need of a change of scenery. So free from the constraints of their respective creepy, obnoxious, sexy, perverted parents and scary, potentially violent teacher (Greg Davies), Simon along with Will (Simon Bird), Jay (James Buckley), and...

This is rather amazing and further cements my argument for why a sequel may be on the way as news breaks that The Inbetweeners Movie has become the biggest opening week box office earner for a comedy Ever in the UK taking (at present) £27,715,177!! This is an amazing number for a movie which according to various sources cost £3.5m to make. The numbers continue to rise for the movie which continues to break records all over the place. Just wait for the DVD to come out!
No doubt this figure will continue to rise as more and more people flock to the cinema to see Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, Joe Thomas, Emily Head, Belinda Stewart-Wilson and Greg Davies all get up to some serious mischief! Massive congrats to everyone involved for making this such a success and above all, for making such a great movie! You can see our review here.

At what dismal moment in the history of film did the ‘movie based on a television show’ set out its position as a staple of the modern cinema listing? Both the Us and the UK had a slow, steady start into this particular subgenre, with big screen adaptations of established television shows beginning as something of a rare novelty. Occasionally the rare classic would arise from such a prosaic past – Monty Python‘s Life of Brian, The Blues Brothers and The Muppet Movie come to mind – and would in turn find a fanbase in their own right, but most were closer to the movie versions of Are You Being Served and Dad’s Army. That is to say, forgotten by all except the cold and timid souls who still make up the diehard fans of such shows. However, in the 90s and noughties, a revolution occurred in which every show on the box – or,...

Following on from the previews figures that we saw last week, it’s no surprise that we’ve just heard that The Inbetweeners Movie (our review here) has raked in a massive £13.2m at the UK box office in the past 4 days breaking the previous record for a UK comedy which was previously held by Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason.
I’ve placed the official press release below for your viewing pleasure but with figures like this, does that mean that there could be room (or requirement?!) for a sequel to the extremely popular Channel 4 series movie? As an UK going audience, the answer would surely be yes!

The initial problem with something that is essentially a TV movie, is will people go and see it? In this case, absolutely yes. Grossing over £2 million on its day of initial release the movie is set to do as well as the TV series.
The creators of the show mentioned recently that they wanted the film to be open to newcomers as well as fans of the show. As such, the opening sequences attempt to introduce the characters; Will (Simon Bird) being mocked by his father, a character incidentally never introduced in the series and played by the wonderful Anthony Stewart Head, for being anti-people and anti-normal. We see Jay (James Buckley) being interrupted by his mum while wanking for the fourth time this summer, Simon (Joe Thomas) being unsurprisingly dumped by Carli (Emily Head), and Neil (Blake Harrison), well, being Neil.
Now that Simon has been dumped and sixth form is finally over,...

Not bad for a movie that didn’t get any screenings before the premiere!

Can The Inbetweeners make the jump from the small screen to the cinema? Here's Caroline's review...
Let’s straighten something out right from the start: The Inbetweeners Movie isn’t Kevin And Perry Go Large. While that misjudged sketch show off-shoot failed to inspire any emotion other than a gag reflex amongst many (although it cleaned up at the box office), The Inbetweeners Movie is a love letter to innocent teenage years, and a sweet and good-natured look back at the milestone of the first lad’s holiday.
On the surface, the story of The Inbetweeners Movie isn't actually a million miles away from Kevin And Perry. But here, it's worked into a British coming of age film fit to be mentioned in the same breath as Us efforts like Superbad and American Pie. It’s crude, rude, importantly funny and essentially tragic. The important thing is, it isn’t a disaster.

Emily Head has teased that The Inbetweeners Movie will serve as a "neat" ending to the show. The 22-year-old, who plays Carli D'Amato in the E4 sitcom, claimed that the upcoming big-screen adventure will likely conclude the series, despite reports of two future TV specials and rumours of a second film. "If anyone had told us four years ago that we'd be doing a movie version of The Inbetweeners, we'd have laughed in their face," she told The Mail on Sunday. "The show's been so much fun to do. I'm really going to miss it now it's finished - well, we're guessing it's finished. "Nothing's set in stone but the film kind of ties everything up neatly, and we can't all be stuck in the sixth form when we're getting into our mid-to-late 20s. But it's been four great years of my life... (more)...

The Inbetweeners is one of the bigger TV shows to come out of England in the past few years, but there’s still a good chance that many of you haven’t heard of it. A comedy that centers on four teenage boys, it follows them as they go through the typical problems inherent with that age — sex, drugs, drinking, etc., but it deals with those in a humorous fashion.
Now, a film version has been made, and it’s seeing a release in the UK in a couple of months. It’s directed by Ben Palmer – who helmed many of the show’s episodes – which could lend a resemblance to the series. The trailer for it has shown up on the series’ Facebook page (via ThePlaylist), but don’t watch it expecting to get a grasp of how the actual film will turn out. This (appropriately) feels like an...

After a very short shoot in Malia at the end of August, which consisted of just a shot of the stars walking down the main street, principal photography now begins on the The Inbetweeners film in the UK on the 6th February for six weeks. Filming will also take place in Spain.
Series regulars Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas will of course all return, as will Emily Head as Carli, Belinda Stewart-Wilson as Will’s Mum and Greg Davies as Mr Gilbert.
This seems likely to be the final outing for the Inbetweeners, with the cast considered too old for another series.
The Inbetweeners Movie is slated for an August 19th release.

The Inbetweeners movie officially starts its six weeks of filming this weekend, although some scenes were shot last year. The premise finds teenage friends Will (Simon Bird), Simon (Joe Thomas), Jay (James Buckley) and Neil (Blake Harrison) going on holiday to Malia without their parents, with predictably ribald and embarrassing results.
Series regulars Emily Head (Carly), Belinda Stewart-Wilson (Will’s Mum) and Greg Davies (Mr Gilbert) are all set to appear, joined by new characters played by Lydia Rose Bewley, Jessica Knappett, Laura Haddock and Tamla Kari. I’m guessing those newcomers will be playing various love interests for the sex-mad foursome.

Fans of the television show The Inbetweeners will be excited to learn that shooting for the feature length film will begin this weekend, 6 February.
Actors Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas remain in their roles for the big-screen project, which is filming across the UK and mainland Europe over the next 6 weeks.
Hopeless high school lads, Will, Jay, Neil and Simon will continue their cringe-worthy comedy, on holiday in Malia with no parents, no teachers, no money and little chance with the ladies.
Screenwriters, Damon Beesley and Iain Morris comment: "We hope the fans will appreciate the film which, we think, completes the story of Will, Simon, Neil and Jay.”
Producer Christopher Young adds: "I very much hope that the film will introduce The Inbetweeners to a whole new audience in the UK and around the world."

The Inbetweeners really are making a movie. They really are. And it's actually shooting, right here, right now. Can you believe it? Can you though? Previous British TV comedies' jumps to the big screen have been patchy at best (Kevin And Perry Go Large, anyone?) but after winning bucket loads of awards (Two BAFTAs, Best Sitcom at the British Comedy Awards, a Rose d'Or) we've got faith in these potty-mouthed lads. But what will the movie actually consist of -- you know, bar Jay (James Buckley) coming up with increasingly extravagant lies, disgusting imagery, and new words for sex -- is limited to this:"It’s a lads' holiday to Malia – that’s all we’re allowed to say."That's right, this is going to be messy. Just to reassure you, regulars Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas will of course return, as will Emily Head as Carli,...
