E1 Entertainment will be releasing Parasomnia on DVD and Blu-Ray July 13th (Dread). Central character Laura Baxter suffers from titular syndrome (sounds dirty), which leaves her in a partial sleep coma for most of the day. A serial killer uses her condition to his advantage by invading her dreams and turning them into nightmares. Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are placed in competition against each other at the upcoming 31st Annual Young Artist Awards. As the Young Artist Foundation unveiled this year's nominees, it is revealed that the two Disney stars and best friends are vying for Leading or Supporting Young Actress title in a category for TV movie, mini-series or special.
Both Selena and Demi received the nomination for their performance as Carter Mason and Rosalinda respectively in "Princess Protection Program". Beside each other, they are also up against two other hopefuls, Tori Barban of "The Christmas Hope" and Patricia Raven of "Dear Harvard".

I don’t really think that either the writer (Jake Wade Hall, The Hitcher) or director (John Simpson, Freeze Frame) of Amusement would take it as much of an insult if they heard me say that the film delivered exactly what it promised. I took one look at the DVD box, and presumed that this was going to be a film about a weird guy with some sort of clown fixation who killed off young, attractive women for reasons that really only make sense to him. I wasn’t too far off. The film opens with vignettes(kind of Creepshow-style) of three young women: Shelby (Laura Breckenridge), who is driving home on the highway with her boyfriend; Tabitha (Katheryn Winnick), who is babysitting her two nephews (real-life brothers Preston and Brennan Bailey); and Lisa (Jessica Lucas), who is looking for her missing room-mate.
