When Donald Trump left his seat in the boardroom as the star of his long-running NBC reality series “The Apprentice” in 2015, in order to run for president of the United States, he had a clear successor in mind.
“I said, ‘The best person to hire would be Ivanka Trump,’” Donald Trump says. “I didn’t press it. But I felt Ivanka would have been by far the best person you could hire.”
Trump shares this revelation in a new book about his years as a reality star, “Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass,” written by Variety co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh. The book peels back the curtain on how Trump’s decade playing an all-knowing mogul on TV shaped his image as a politician, ultimately catapulting him to the White House.

Celebrity Apprentice 2013 eliminated Brande Roderick in episode 8 tonight. Tonight's episode kicked off with more conversation footage. Then they finally got to the part where Trump told the celebrities what their task was. They had to create an interactive travel expo for South Africa Tourism, and they were judged on creativity, customer feedback, and overall presentation. Then it was revealed that team Plan B was assigned the romance package, and team Power was assigned the adventure package after they flipped a coin for it,because both teams wanted the Adventure package. Celebrity Apprentice on NBC is an occasionally intriguing and amusing show wherein celebrities battle each other ostensibly to raise money for charity, but often boils down to whose ego will triumph.
It’s also interesting what constitutes “celebrity,” and while there have certainly been legitimate and significant ones in the past and even on this edition, there appears to be difficulty rounding up enough for the full slate of sixteen.
Yes, of course, Gary Busey, José Canseco, Marlee Matlin, David Cassidy, Star Jones and Dionne Warwick certainly qualify, but do Lissa Rinna, NeNe Leakes and Richard Hatch rise to the same level? I think not. In particular, Hatch, whose sole claim to fame was winning the first Survivor over ten years ago and the ensuing infamy of tax evasion, which caused his incarceration and a host of continuing legal problems over the years.

The Celebrity Apprentice is heading your way again, and each installment of this show aims to outdo the train wreck potential of the last. We had a few good moments of drama the last go around, and can hardly fathom where things might go this time. Certain cast clashes are fairly easy to predict (like Osbourne vs. just about anyone last time), but given the viral videos of Gary Busey, who can guess what will come out of this cage match.
Below you can find some info on the show, and a video introduction with each contestant talking about their chosen charity. Have fun, and don't miss the return of the second craziest show with "Apprentice" in the title.
Donald Trump returns with "The Celebrity Apprentice" and an all-new celebrity lineup of candidates. This is the fourth installment of "The Celebrity Apprentice" and the eleventh season of the series.

NBC has announced its next slew of celebrities competing on "The Celebrity Apprentice." The women include Playmate Hope Dworaczyk, singerr La Toya Jackson, former "View" co-host Star Jones, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes, actresses Marlee Matlin and Lisa Rinna, model Niki Taylor and singer Dionne Warwick.
On the men's side, there's actor Gary Busey, former baseball player Jose Canseco, singer and former teen idol David Cassidy, "Survivor" winner Richard Hatch, rapper Lil Jon and singers Meat Loaf, Mark McGrath and John Rich.
Huh. We give early odds to Marlee Matlin and Meat Loaf. They've both always seemed really smart and mature, which eventually Trump seems to winnow down to on "Celebrity Apprentice."

Hello again, Entertainment Weekly readers – I am glad to have you back on my blog this week! I hope that you enjoyed last night’s episode of The Apprentice, and while I wasn’t on the show this week, I still have some pretty strong opinions as to what happened.
We All Scream for Ice Cream
With last week’s loss and my father’s disappointment fresh in their minds, both teams felt like they had something to prove. The task assigned was deceptively simple – sell ice cream in New York City and make the biggest profit possible. Sales are...

The only thing that might remain the same about "American Idol" next year could be its name.
Well, it's not that drastic, but it does feel as though the hit reality show is remaking itself from top to bottom, replacing nearly its entire judging panel and giving the format an exhaustive makeover. Other reality shows have undergone their own transformations in recent years, though none have been as comprehensive as the one "Idol" just executed.
As we welcome Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler to the mix, let's review a few other noteworthy reality switcheroos.

Before Donald Trump could say "You're hired!", Bret Michaels and Holly Robinson Peete have to show their leadership skill by managing two fallen contestants in the task to create a new flavor of Snapple tea. Darryl Strawberry and Summer Sanders join Bret while Maria Kanellis and Curtis Stone join Holly.
In the clips of "The Celebrity Apprentice" which have just been released, Bret attempted to do everything at once including the branding, the photo shoot and the model's hairstyle. He got a pleasant surprise when his daughter came to visit him during the work.
Over in Holly's team, Curtis showed anxiety to leave the place. Holly also happened to see Bret's printed ad for the Snapple tea and criticized it. She said the words are illegible and it's not right for celebrities to put too much about themselves into a brand.
Both Bret and Holly were then required to...
